Enable multipart downloads with part size (in megabytes) - If this option is enabled, large files will be downloaded using multiple parallel threads for faster performance. You can specify the part size in megabytes. The default value is 100 MB. Overwrite options for existing filesOverwrite options for existing files - This setting allows you to configure how CS Browser handles files with the same name that already exist in the destination. You can choose from the following options:
PermissionsThe options in this section may require additional configuration for buckets created after April 2023 to work correctly. Click here for more information. Inherit permissions from parent bucket - If this option is enabled, files uploaded will inherit the permissions (ACL) of the parent bucket. Preserve permissions when overwriting existing files - If this option is enabled, CS Browser will maintain the permissions of the existing files during uploading or copy/move operations. When this option is enabled, an extra request is sent to Amazon S3 for each file to retrieve the existing file's permissions before overwriting it. This may increase the number of requests sent to Amazon S3 when uploading or copying large numbers of files. ProxyThe Proxy tab allows you to configure proxy server settings to connect to Amazon S3. This is useful if your network requires a proxy server for internet access. ![]() ProxySelect the proxy connection type from the dropdown menu. Options include:

You can specify the maximum transfer rate (in kilobytes per second) for each active thread. Total bandwidth usage depends on the number of active threads. For example, if you set the maximum transfer rate to 32 KB/s and have 4 active threads, the total bandwidth usage will be approximately 128 KB/s. This helps maintain the integrity of your files when transferring them to or from Amazon S3. ![]() Data IntegrityCheck data integrity during file upload - Enable this option to ensure data is not corrupted during upload. Checksum algorithm - Select the checksum algorithm used for data integrity verification. Supported algorithms include CRC32, CRC32C, CRC64/NVME, SHA-1, and SHA-256. Note that many Amazon S3 compatible storage providers may only support SHA-256. Using other algorithms such as CRC-32, CRC-32C, or SHA-1 may not be supported or may cause upload/download failures if the storage does not recognize them. Check data integrity during file download - Enable this option to ensure data is not corrupted during download. This may increase download time.
