Ben asked me if I was up for an awesome opportunity. I wasn't sure what he was talking about, then he told me it was a free night at a hotel. I shrugged my shoulders and said yes. He then said there was a catch, the hotel was included in a Marriage and Family Retreat for Military personnel. It still sounded fun, so I said yes.
It was held in Salt Lake, we had to attend a few workshops, but then the weekend was ours. The workshops were actually pretty nice. They tailored it to what happens before, during, and after deployments for married couples and families. It was nice to hear these different categories considering I was new to all this Military stuff. I learned a lot and I was glad to be able to have a fun weekend on the town with Ben. They even gave us homework that night, we had to go on a date.
Ben decided that we would recreate our proposal. He took me back to the park where he proposed, we went out to eat, had a horse carriage ride, and we ended up at the temple walking around the grounds. It was so much fun.
