Gabbi 2 months
We took Gabbi to her 2 month check up with her doctor. Because of the holiday we were actually late getting her in because her doctor was out of town, but we finally got her in. I would have been happy not to take her because when she got her shots, she cried so hard she stopped breathing. It really scared me. Her face went bright red and then started to change to a purplish blue. But then the nurse's who gave her the shots did something that made her breath and cry again. I had to sit in the corner of the room because I was scared for her, so Ben was the good guy that talked to her the whole time and tried his best to make her happy. The doctor gave her a clean bill of health and said she is growing just fine. She is strong, playful, and very happy he said. She now weighs 10 lbs 12 oz. and is 23 in long. Still small to us, but the doctor said she is right on track.

Girl's Camp 2008
Well I had my first vaction from Gabbi, since she was born. It was needed to get a break, but I did miss her and my husband, while I was gone. I am the 2nd Councelor in my ward and I have been in this calling since October 2007. I love my calling. Some times it can be really challenaging, but it is also fun all at the same time. Well last week, June 30-July 3. we were at girls camp. We went to Aspen Ridge up in Idaho. It is a boy scout camp, but they open it up to girl's camps for the summer. The girls had a blast. Our theme was "Something wonderful and Sweet." We did everything candy. We had our camp site decorated with large lollipop's and the girls made pictures with pixi sticks that had to do with candy and we hung them around our camp site. It looked great and the girls loved it. It was so much fun. We had craft and activites for the girls and the camp had a tone of things for them to do as well. They had shooting, swinning, leather crafts, archery, horseback riding, campfire games. branding, and much much more.
We all had a chance to go horseback riding. All the girls loved it. We had two girls get on at first, but then felt scared so they decided to step out and one of our girls in the process of our ride, she fell off. We were scared, but over all, the girls loved riding the horses.
The majority of them all said that was the best activity they did while at camp. Some of the girls did the shooting range. I actually went and did the shooting range as well. I even hit a target. I was so proud of myself. So was Ben, he didn't think I would shoot a gun. The whole expecerience was great. Each camp site is assigned to scout's they call "Camp Friends." We had awsome camp friends.
They would come to visit all the time, they played games with us, and they even made some of our fires. They were awsome to us and really nice to all our girls. Everyone had a great time. Our bishopric also came up on our last night and we had a really nice spritual expereince with them there. We went on a value walk that the camp put on. They had 7 girl scouts who each at a certain place in the woods talked about a value. It was quite and peaceful, it really hit the point to the girls, then after the walk
we went back up to our camp site and the bishop finished off with a wonderful talk to the girls about being ready for things to come. Taking the values and being ready for any challange or temptation that they would be faced with. We also had a testimony sharing expereince with the girls. They had a chance to share their feelings if they wanted. It was amazing because some girls shared wonderful things. These girls were some that we didn't think would share anything. It was wonderful to see them open up and really share with one another. The whole camp experience was great, the girls had a blast, our leaders had a blast and our bishopric did as well. The bishopric loved the skits too. We made them participate. We did a model run way and each group had to make an outfit and they had to model it down the runway. The bishopric did an awsome job and they truly had the time of their lives putting it together and showing it off. It was great. A highlight and a great finish to Girl's Camp.

Tigger
We once had a cat. We got him from Nelson and Deann. It took a little convincing Mom and Dad considering that Mom's allergic, but they allowed us to bring him home. When we did we first took him to the vet to get his shots. While there we asked about getting him declawed. They said that couldn't do it at the time because he had ear mites. I wasn't sure what that was, but they gave us a medicine and once it was cleared up, they gave us the go. We wanted him declawed because he would be an indoor only cat and we didn't want him scratching up the furniture.
He went from little kittle to big kitty in no time. We would always find him in the weirdest places. That didn't really surprise me considering he didn't like people. He was okay with us, but when we had people over he wanted nothing to do with them. His favorite place when we had visitors was on top of the refrigerator. He would sit there and swat and people's heads as they walked by. It was pretty funny, but it made it so no one liked him. He eventually earned the nick name "Satan". The name really did fit.
When Gabbi was born we were worried how he would react. He ironically enough didn't pay much attention to her. He just wanted to be in all of her things. We would find him in her car seat, her swing, and in her toys. He claimed them as his own.
Sadly when we moved to North Ogden, he didn't adjust well. He had hairballs constantly, wouldn't eat much, and his behavior was out of control. We ended up giving him up. I felt bad, but it was time to let him be happy somewhere else.

More Family Pictures
Again I have no idea why I didn't blog these pictures, but two weeks after taking our own family pictures in Provo Mom wanted to take some family pictures with everyone. She told us where, when, and what color scheme she was going for. When we were all there, Dad set up his camera on the tripod and with his little controller we were able to get some nice family pictures. They turned out better than the ones we did.

Photos 2008
After going through some of our pictures I realized that I didn't actually add them to our blog before printing the blog book for 2008. Here are the pictures that weren't included after Gabbi was born.
These next few pictures are with those that came to visit her the first few weeks she was born. They were taken in April and May 2008.
Gabbi's first photo shoot was taken at Kiddie Kandids in May 2008. She did really well for as little as she was. I was also really impressed with the photographer. She was amazing with Gabbi and they turned out great.
Gabbi loved bath time when she was little. It was a little hard trying to figure out where the best place to give her a bath was considering we didn't have a bath tub. It was difficult to use the baby tub just because it was so big and we seemed to always spill it on the carpet when dumping out the water after the bath. We finally got a plug for the sink and a bath bouncer and bathed her in the kitchen sink. It was a big farm sink and it worked out great while she was little. These pictures were taken in August 2008.
Here's a few more fun shots of Gabbi with her cousins. These pictures were taken in August and September 2008.
We went to the Ogden Airport for a friends son's brithday party. We got a tour of the airport and even got a chance to sit in some of the small planes. We had a blast. I think Gabbi more so loved all the attention. These pictures were taken in December 2008.
