Little Miss Attitude

Gabbi will go through spurts of attitude faster then no other. One minute she is completely happy doing what ever she wants and then the next minute she just wants to be held and if you put her down she will do nothing but scream until you pick her back up, (I hope that is just because she isn't felling to well with her teething). But the best part of her attitude problem is the faces. She has so many different faces and the best one is this one. I wish she didn't have the binky in her mouth, so you could see the full effect, but it's as close as we could get.

Cameron is 3

Cameron's brithday and Dad's birthday are so close together, that during our festivities for dad, we also celebrated Cameron's birthday. Cameron is such a ham and very much a kid when it comes to presents. Ex-specially when the presents belong to him. Jenny and Brian gave him a push car that looked like a police car. It was a hit and Cameron's favorite gift. He thought that was pretty cool and he was on cloud nine when he got to drive it in the house. It was just to cold to drive it outside. But he was very much in a mood of "Mine and you can't touch it." Who would blame him though, it was his birthday and his present. But after some coaxing, he decided to share and even Gabbi had a chance to have a ride. With a birthday, come a cake as well. Cameron got to blow out candles from his cake too, and JD decided to help him out a little. Luckily the smoke wasn't as bad as dad's and at least the smoke detectors didn't go off this time. We had a great day and a great evening celebrateing the whole way.

Dad Turns 50!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!
Can you believe it, my dad is now 50. What a great feet. I am so proud and grateful for my dad and for the great example he has been for me and for always being there for me when I needed him most. Because we all love Dad very much and 50 is a big deal we had a surprise day for him, and lucky us, he never found out about it, until it happened. We started the day off with a present. A shirt that said "50 been there once, I just don't remember!" and a bling bling necklace that had 50's all over it.

We then all piled in the cars and toke Dad to a movie. We went and saw Monsters vs Aliens in 3-D. Really funny show and really well done in 3-D. I was surprised how well Gabbi did. We have only taken her to one other movie and she slept all the way through that one, but this time she was awake and she watched at least 80% of the movie before getting boared with it. We all enjoyed the movie. After the movie we stopped at the Areospace Museum. Dad is a big history buff and love all that type of stuff and he loved the museum. The planes are really cool to look at and to see how everything went "down" in those days. My favorite part the big plans outside. I had to keep asking Ben about the planes. I figured with him being in the military he would know quit a bit, but apparently the air force and the army aren't a whole lot in common. But he know more then I did. All the kids had a blast too. Then when we were done with the museum we headed to out next big surprise.

As a birthday present from us kids, we bought dad two minutes at the I-fly in Ogden. They had a deal with a group rate going on, so we decided to take advantage of it. We got to the building and started to walk up the stairs and with dad at the end of our long line we all turned around to see the look on his face when he figured out where we were going. He stopped on the stairs and had a very scared smile on his face. He at first told us that he hoped we would have fun and he would watch the kids. But there was no getting out of this, he was going. So all together is was Dad, Jenny, Brian, Kayden, Miranda, Tiffany, and Kayla. Tiffany and Kayla had done it once before, but for everyone else it was their first time. They had to go into a special room to get instructions on how it all worked and then it was time to fly. They got all suited up with goggles, ear plugs, suites, the whole shebang. They all looked pretty funny, scared, and excited. Then it was time to go into the chamber, well the benches right outside. Then one by one, they all took the plunge. They all did really good and did some really cool trick with the instructor. You could tell the little kids were more scared then the adults, but they all looked like they had a great time. When they came out, they affirmed it. They all had a blast. I myself am a chicken. I don't think I would ever do that. But who knows. (Pictures to come soon)

After our adventure of flying, we took dad out to dinner to Iggy's. A place my dad loves to eat. Luckily Jenny was smart and got us reservations, they were pretty busy. After a good eatin, we headed back home for presents and cake. Dad opened up some presents from mom, she got him summer clothes and then when he was done we went to the cake. We put 50 "don't blow out" candles on the cake and nearly burned down the house. There was smoke everywhere. That was the best. Being Dad he has to have German Chocolate, and my sister makes the best, so when the fire finally went out, we enjoyed the cake; fire, smoke and all. It was a very fun filled packed day that we all hope Dad doesn't forget.

Ballons

We only got one key to the Jeep so we had to have another copy made. We had to go into the Jeep dealership to have it made. So I went in on Monday with Gabbi to have the key made. While we were in the waiting room Gabbi decided to go up to the showroom to play. They had a tent set up with a ton of balloons in it. It almost looked like a ball pit. Gabbi had a blast trying to grab the balloons and kick them all around her. I just thought these pictures were really cute, so I had to write about them.

New Car

Don't you just love the new car smell, well I wish it still had the new car smell, but it was a used car, but it's new to us. Yep, we bought a new car. Well it's not a car, it's a SUV. We had a Lancer, but it wasn't really fitting our needs. Gabbi car seat never really fit just right, our knees where always touching the dash and the tires on it were not snow tires. I hated driving it in the snow, but to replace them was some serious cash we didn't have. So now that Ben had this new job and we know how much he will get every two weeks and know that it will never change, we decided to go ahead. We have been looking for a long time, but never dared to because of Ben's old job. The money was never consistent, we didn't know if we could even afford a change, but now we can. Friday we called in to an advertisement we heard on the radio, well I had heard it many times, but we decided to call. It was to the National Auto Plaza in Sandy. We talked to a salesmen on the phone and gave him all of our information and he would be ready when we came down. So we headed down to Sandy to see what they had to offer. We wanted a small SUV or a truck that holds 5, a had a little bit more room then are car. They first had us test drive a Mercedes, I felt unworthy to be in a high end name brand car. It was very fancy and nether of us liked it. Then we walked around the parking lot a little and looked at some trucks. Our payments would have gone up to much with a truck so we had to walk away from that. He had us look at a Nissan Altima, and I really liked the one I drove on my mission, so we looked at that one, but then he asked us if we wanted to look at a Jeep. We said okay and he went to get it. When I saw him pull up, I said "No, it's ugly." Ben told me we had to at least look at it, so we did. We even test drove it around the block. It drove much nicer then the Mercedes and it was a lot nicer on the inside too. We both loved driving it and decided that we would see the numbers. Don't judge a book by the cover right? Well the inside and the drive was really nice, even though I am not a fan of the outside look. So we went in to crunch the numbers and everything went great. They bought our Lancer from us and we only went upside down on the loan for a little bit. So they added that to the loan of the Jeep and our Payment only went up about 30 dollars. From a car to a SUV for only a 30 dollars difference, we were pretty excited. Our car insurance went down too, yeah more good news. SO we signed the papers and drove it off the lot. Now the only problem is deciding who's turn it is to drive.

Gabbi had a lot of fun in the Kids place while we were waiting to sign papers.

So here it is, the 2007 Jeep Commander:

Full House

Many of you may not know, but Jeff, Tiffany and the kids moved in with my parents, which makes for a full house. All in all its actually been kind of fun. It's nice to have JD and Kayla there because they just love to play with Gabbi and that gets her out of my hair when I need a break. And it's always nice to hang out with Tiffany and Jeff. We like to watch movies and play games. Now we don't have to go very far to do that anymore. They also have the new baby now and I love to hold her. She is just so cute. Kamree was born February 26 around 7 in the morning. She weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 19 in long. I don't remember Gabbi ever being that small, but she was. Kamree is just so cute, she has a ton of dark curly hair, it makes me jealous for Gabbi. So as you can see we have a full house, but its great to be close to family. Real close :)

More Latest News

Well the little monster has finally got the hang of it. Gabbi has been trying to walk since she was 9 months old, well that's when she took her first steps. Now at 10 1/2, she would rather walk then crawl. If she falls, she just gets back up and keeps going. Nothing stops her now. Even with shoes, there has been no problems. She loves her new freedom, but that also means new barriers that mom and dad put up and that she doesn't like. I just can't believe it. She is growing up way to fast. She has even said a couple of words, whether or not she knows what they mean, she still says them. Mama, daddy, and more. My mom works with her on some other words and she is getting close. Crazy crazy crazy. I will post a video of the little monster when I get it downloaded to my computer.

She normally has pants on, but she decided to spill her lunch on them, so I took them off to wash them. They were still in the dryer when I took the video.

The Latest News

Well, I am really bad at keeping this thing updated. I just don't know where the time goes. So here are the biggest things that have been happening. I don't know if many of you know, but Ben applied for a job in the DDO a little bit before Christmas. We thought we were never going to hear from them because they were taking so long. But finally after almost 3 months of waiting, we finally heard back and he got the job. This has been a long time coming. We really needed this job and it's finally here. He had to file out a 30 page packet before he could start, but he got it all done, just in time to start March 1st. We are really excited for this job because it means better stability and not worrying anymore whether or not the bills will be paid. And even in this bad economy and people losing their jobs, this is a job where they don't get ride of you, they just place you somewhere else. It's got health benefits and a retirement plan. Things that we have needed. So after a week and a half of being at this new job, he is on cloud 9. Ben just loves it and he gets to work with quite a few people from his unit. Great job, great people, and finally not having to worry anymore; the best part.
