Kayden is a Decade old. Yep he turned 10. I can't believe it. A lot has happened in 10 years. We celebrated his birthday at our family dinner on Sunday. At family dinner, if its your birthday we are celebrating, you get to choose what we eat and what type of cake you want for dessert. Kayden of course
chose pizza like he does every year, but its okay because mom makes the best homemade pizza's and Jenny made him an oreo cake. Once dinner was over, we went outside so Kayden could open his gifts. He got a lot of stuff. Baseball stuff for this summer, a kite, a day at Bundock's and Jenny and Brian got him the funky skate board. It's not a
skate board, but it looks like it. He loved it and was too excited to try it. After he opened his gifts, we played games in the back yard; volleyball, badminton, ball toss, the kids swung on the swings, etc. It was just nice to be outside. Then we all went to watch Kayden try his new board. He did pretty good. I don't think I could have ever done it. I would have broke an ankle. Then as they say "let them all eat cake."

Gabbi turns 1
So first things first, Gabbi turned 1. It was a very hectic event. I am one who worries about everything and every little detail. One of the biggest worries was having a place that would fit everyone.
It was supposed to rain and then our backup of the church fell through because there was a ward activity that night as well. So we still planned for it to be at our house and just hoped for the best. We ended up taking out all of our furniture except the couch. We brought in about 15 or so extra chairs and just prayed that everyone would fit. I always worry about the dumb stuff. Mom and
I spent the morning decorating the cakes. It felt like it took forever. We did a flower party and I had made three large flowers for the guests and a small one for Gabbi. Mom and I frosted and decorated each one and tried our best to have them match the rest of the decoration. Mom did a great job, I couldn't have done it without her. So everyone showed up, we made all the kids sit on the floor and surprisingly enough we fit everyone, some people choose to stand, but everyone was crammed into our living room. I had Ben take Gabbi and wait with her at the top of the stairs before he could bring her down. When everyone finally got there, he brought her down an
d I wanted the great happy face that she does when she saw what we got her. But she was more stunned by how many people were in the room then by her gift. We got her a tropical pool and we got about 500 little balls to make her her own ball pit. Once she got passed how many people were there, it was hard to get her to come out and open the rest of her gifts. We had placed all the presents inside and as she
opened them more and more room became available to play in the ball pit, so gradually all the kids started to jump in and Gabbi just wanted nothing but to play. It was cute. She had a blast with all the cool toys everyone gave her. When it was time to blow out the candles on her cake and to let her chow down, we got her undressed and she looked a little worried. But when we sat her down in her booster chair she got really excited. Then we placed the cake in front of her and Ben helped her blow out her candle, seeing how she didn't know exactly what to do with it.
Then like a dainty little princess, she ate her cake. She didn't get it all over, didn't take the huge bites that lots of kids take, she just slowly and thoroughly enjoyed her cake. She ate practically the whole thing, we had to stop her. She loves her sweets. For as worried as I was, the night turned out great.

1 year!!!
Can you believe it, my little baby is 1 years old today. I can't believe it either. That year has gone by very fast. "It seems like only yesterday!" I love my little girl, she means the world to me. I am very grateful to my Heavenly Father for sending her to our family. She may have her bad times and she may have her good, but it's all worth it to see her happy and running into our arms. I love her very much. Happy Birthday BABY!

Hats
Gabbi has been in a stage of when there is something on her head, she has to take it off. Whenever I do her hair it is almost
pointless because she pulls it out just seconds after I am done with it. That also goes for hats. She always ripes them off, but then she decides that its pretty cool and tries to put them back on herself. She got a hold on one of Ben's hats the other day and decided to model it around the house.
Eating Freenzie
Ben loves it when Gabbi eats on her own. He thinks its a crack up how she gets it all over her self mainly and not in her mouth. She does a pretty good job, but there are those times. These few pictures of the monster eating waffles right before church. Got to love afternoon church, you can always have time for a hot breakfast.

A day at the Park
The day was so nice and warm we ended the day at the park. We bought lunch and headed to the park way. When we got there, it was packed. There were so many people at the park, with nice weather, that didn't
surprise me. So we laid the blankets down and ate our lunch. Once everyone was done eating it was time to build the kites and take advantage of the wind. Jeff had bought a really cool Star Wars kite. Brandon and Melissa had a dragon kite, they where more then flat kites, they had substance to them.
Then the kids had theirs, they were flat ones, but that made it easier for them to fly. Kayla had a lady bug and JD had a lizard. I have never been one for flying kites because I can never keep it in the air. Ben helped the kids out and Jeff and he even got to fly Kayla's for a while. He did pretty good. Even Jose and Rachel
had a kite and they did really good. I think theirs was up and flying at least for 20 minutes. The kids had a blast learning how to fly a kite and of course we got to play other things as well. Ben and I brought a lot of our outside games; ball toss, soccer ball, kick balls, etc. We all had a lot of fun playing at the park. It was also fun to watch other people too. One family had made their own kite out of plastic rap, it was hard to see, but they had it s
o far in the air, it was amazing. Once everyone got tired it was time to pack it up and head home, hoping that we didn't get too burned.
Union Station
The weather was so nice outside on Saturday Jeff decided he wanted to have a fun day outside. They planned on going to the Union Station and going to the park for lunch and flying kites. He was very nice and invited us to got with them. Tiffany's sister Melissa and he
r family came to, as well as her sister Rachel and her fiance Jose.
We got ready for the day and packed the car with outside fun toys and headed out. We started the day by going to the store to buy some kites for the park and once that was done, we headed to the train museum. We got our tickets and headed to walk through the exhibits. The first thing you see going into the
first exhibit is of the first bridge made for the trains. The story was of how the men were constantly covered with spider from where they were working. It was very sad to see Kayla start to cry because she thought the spiders all of the exhibit were r
eal. she doesn't like spiders at all. I don't blame her, I don't like them either. We continued to walked through the exhibits and really enjoyed the different things they had to look at. They even had some real trains the kids could play on. Gabbi thought the train weight scale was pretty fun. It moved as you walked on it, and to see her face when the floor moved as she walked was pretty funny. We also go to see toy trains moving to represent the different train
track that run throughout Utah. It was pretty cool to learn about the history of train. When we were done with the train portion you could go look at the guns and the novelty cars. I loved the cars the best. I am a suck
er for the old classics. Once we were finished walking through all the exhibits we headed outside to look at the real trains. The big ones. The kids had a blast taking pictures by something that was gigantic compared to them. It pretty cool.
Family Pictures
Well with Gabbi turning 1 in the next couple of days we decided to go and get her pictures taken. While we were at it, we got some family pictures taken as well. They turned out pretty good.

Easter with the Sagez's
After our family Easter morning we headed up to Ben's Dad's house to attend church with them and spend the afternoon. As soon as we were ready we left to hit the road. Gabbi normally sleeps when we head to his dad's,
but this time she was wide awake and was laughing and talking the whole way there. It was cute to see her so happy. When we got to his dad's we just played with Gabbi for a few minutes while we waited for Ben's brother and wife to come. Once they got there we enjoyed a nice breakfast that Deann made. Everyone finished getting ready for church and walked to church. Gabbi was so naughty,
I didn't even get to stay 10 minutes in relief society. I was so mad. She wouldn't sit on my lap, she wouldn't play with her toys, she only wanted out. she wouldn't even walk in the halls without throwing a fuss, I ended up taking her outside to walk around and cool off. When Priesthood was finally over, I handed her over to Ben and he was in charge of entertaining her through Sunday school. The thing that really killed me was that she was pretty much fine the majority of the time
. He only left with 10 minutes left of class. I took her during sacrament when she was fussy. I feed her and rocked her, she finally fell asleep and luckily staid asleep for the rest of the block. She woke up right when they said "Amen" from the closing prayer. We then walked back to Ben's dad's house and all got changed so we could just relax and enjoy the beautiful day. Gabbi got to change into the cute Easter outfit from his parents. A really cute skirt and
a shirt to go with it. Ben's grandparents came over and we visited with them for a little bit and then we had an Easter egg hunt. Deann's grand kids came over and the men hide the eggs. When they were all done, the kids ran outside and searched as hard as they could to find the eggs. They hid them pretty hard. Ben helped Gabbi find some eggs,
which she was very proud of. She walked around with her eggs in her hand instead of in her basket. She found a total of 4 eggs, she cared more about the egg then the candy inside. So Ben was happy to assist her in eating the candy. Once the hunt was over, we said out goodbyes and headed for home. Ben had to be to work in the morning, so we didn't want to stay out too late.
Easter Morning
Easter morning was very quiet and nice to be just our family. Ben and I got up and woke Gabbi up so she could see what the Easter Bunny had brought her. And we added her Easter dress. I followed my moms tradition of giving the kids a new Easter outfit for church. I loved it growing up and I hope my kids love it too. the Easter Bunny brought some fun things for summer.
All outside toys. She got a golf set, mainly because of the golf balls, she also got a set of beach toys. We also placed on the couch the things her grandparents got her, the hat and bows from my parents and the stuffed bunny from Ben's mom. She is one spoiled child, but we love it and so does she. She had a blast playing with her new toys. She was very mad when we took them away to get her ready for Church.

Easter with the Hall's
After leaving Ben's mom's house we headed back home to do Easter with my family. We had to wait until later afternoon, early evening so my dad could join us. He had to work that night, so he had to sleep during the day, so we had to wait until he got up. Worth the wait, we had to have the whole
family or it wouldn't have been that fun. So when we all got there the kids all piled together and waited at the top of the stairs until mom and dad gave them the okay. Mom gave them each an Easter bucket and told them they were allowed to find 16 eggs a piece and no more. I got the fun duty to hide the eggs. I picked some pretty hard places for the older kids and out in the open for the younger kids. Sadly enough when we let them go, the older kids went for the first ones they saw and of course it had to be the ones out in the open so the younger kids had a harder time. I even had to pull out
the hard ones and put them in visible sight for the little ones. Gabbi was not a huge fan of finding the eggs. We decided that we would hide her bucket as a whole. She would never be able to find everything that Nana and Papa gave her. So we walked around with her a little to see if she would see it. Of course the other kids had to tell her where it
was at, but even when we got there she wasn't interested in it at all. She looked at it and walked away. So we took and egg out of it to give to her and thought that she would want more eggs and to look in her bucket. Not a chance, she took the egg and walked away. So finally I made her sit down and look through her bucket. Nana and Papa gave her a cute
white sun hat, some hair bows and candy. She walked around the yard with her hat on for a few seconds and then repeatedly took it off and tried to put it back on. It looked cute on her, now if I can only get her to keep it on. Easier said then done with her. After all the eggs where found all the kids went into the house to see what they got away with. Nana and Papa put quarters in each egg, so the kids were really
excited to see that they all got 4 dollars in quarters, plus a boat load of candy. They had a blast with the hunt. When all was done we gathered into the kitchen for dinner, homemade hamburgers. Very good, mom always adds just the right seasonings for the best taste. When dinner was done, Jenny and Brian
had to leave to head to Brian's family for Easter and the rest of us hung around to play games. It all made for a very busy day.
Easter with the Wise's
We spent Saturday morning and early afternoon with Ben's mom and the family. Almost everyone was there, which was nice. We have a hard time getting everyone together, with all the busy schedules. It was
the first time in a long time that we had all the three grandchildren there.
Gabbi has two cousins on his side and one is two months older then her and one is two months younger. Its was fun to watch them and see how they interact with each other and to see their differences.
They of course had a hard time sharing the toys, but what kid likes to share. We had lunch and after lunch we colored more Easter eggs. this time the cool ones where the ones with stickers on them. It made it really easy to do polka dot eggs, which I thought were really cute.
