Like always a park is a good place to play and a good reason to get out of the house. Gabbi loves playing outside. It has been a while since we have been to a park and surprisingly enough, the swing is still her favorite thing to do at the park. We try to get her to play on other things, but she always goes back to the swing. Funny girl.

End of Season Camping
We had our last camping trip of the season at the end of September. Ben's grandma and grandpa Hadley invited us up to go to their cabin, up by Cozy Damn. Brian and Karen also came with us. It was a really good weekend. We relaxed in the cabin, the boys did a few last minute things to prepare the cabin
for winter, we went on a few rides on their ATVs, and just had a good time. It was really funny to watch Gabbi interact with grandma and grandpa. She really took a liking to grandpa. Grandma also made her a special toy to play with, a piece of cloth holding many mason jar rings. Gabbi thought that was a pretty cool noise maker. I think the best time of the trip was the rides on the ATVs. I thought Gabbi would have been scared, but
she just loved it. She had the biggest grin on her face. Our second our third ride, I don't quit remember, she was so comfortable with the ride, that she even fell asleep. She really is a heavy sleeper.

Kitchen Decoration
So I am finally all done decorating. I got my last needed items at Swiss days. With mom's help it looks pretty nice. I like it a lot. My colors are red and black with an Americana theme.

Squeaker Shoes
When I was at Swiss days days I was able to get Gabbi a pair of squeaker shoes. They were so popular last year that they sold out very quickly, but I was able to get her a pair this year. When I put them on her she had a blast. She didn't know where the sound was coming from, but she had a blast figuring it all out.

Labor Day Camping
Ben's dad invited us up to go camping with them in Manuta. It's a pretty nice place to camp and it's free. They have trails and nice camp sites. We met them up there Sunday evening after we were done eating dinner with my family. When we got up there, we set up the car, we planned on sleeping in the back on the air mattress. The set up worked very well, if only the night went that way too. We laid Gabbi down around 9:30, 10:00 in hopes that she would fall asleep. No luck
there. When we were done with roasting marshmallows and talking around the camp fire we headed in for the night. When we got into the car, Gabbi was still awake. She was ornery too. From 11:30 to 2:30 she did nothing but whine and kick and cry. She maybe slept an hour at the most. I could have killed her. So at 2:30 with no sleep, we decided to go home. We put the car back together and headed home. We got
home around 3:30 and laid Gabbi down and she went straight to sleep. That didn't last long though, she was crying by 5:30. I filled up a sippy cup and gave it to her and walked away. I didn't hear her again until 7:30. So we got up with her and ended going back up camping with his dad again. We got ready and met them up there for breakfast. By the time we had gotten there Gabbi had fallen asleep in the car, so we kept her there. She didn't sleep long, by the time we were done eating she had woken up. She we took her out and just hung around the camp site. We played horseshoes and such. It was fun. Then we decided
to go for a ride up to the top of the mountain to inspiration point. Last year when we tried we only got about half way because of the weather that weekend. It was a nice drive. The girls were in the Jeep and the boys were in Nelson's rhino. It was so busy up there that day. I couldn't believe how many people were out on 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. We finally made it to the top. It was a great view. The best part was that Gabbi slept the whole
time. On our way back down the mountain we popped a tire. I couldn't believe it. It was very frustrating. So poor Ben had to get down on the ground to get the spare and put it on the car. He was so dirty by the time he was done. I felt bad. So we headed on down again and was stopped by some people trying to pull their 4 wheeler up back on to the trail from when they drove off the day before. Finally after more then an hour we were back down and on our way home. It made for an interesting vacation.

Swiss days and Moab
Ben and I got a chance to go on a vacation. The sad part was that it wasn't together. I went to Swiss Days and Ben went with the boys to Moab for a biking adventure. I had a blast with mom at Swiss days. I was able to get stuff to decorate my kitchen, finally; and I even got material to make Gabbi's Halloween costume. We saw it at Swiss days, but when it wasn't her size and pretty expensive, we opted to make our own. It looks really cute, if I do say so myself. She is going to be a witch, I can't wait. We even went to a pretty good play this year. We go to one every year on the Saturday we come home. This years play was the Scarlet Pimpernel. I had seen it in french class once and really didn't enjoy it, but the play was very good. Ben said he had a blast with the boys too. He had so much fun that he even broke his bike having that fun. When I asked him how he broke it, his reply was "having fun and that's all that matters!"
