Waterfall Canyon Hike

Well, I wouldn't say hiking is my most favorite thing to do in the world, but it's always nice to get out of the house; no matter what you're doing. Being 5 months pregnant didn't make it any easier either, but I still had fun. We were invited by Ben's sister, who put it all together for a memorial day activity. It was the Saturday before memorial day and we did it in the later evening in hopes it wouldn't be to bad weather wise. We took picnic dinner's with us so once we were at the top we could relax and eat before the hike down. Gabbi did really well. I was very surprised. She wanted to walk the majority of the time and when she wasn't walking she was on the shoulders of either Ben or his brother, Brian. I felt really bad at times because I of course was the slowest one, but that's to be expected by someone who's not a huge fan of hiking. But we did all make it and Gabbi loved it.

Baby info

Well, I'm more then half way done, thank heavens. I'm not a huge fan of being pregnant, but at least I'm over the hump. I have a check up every month, and so far all is well and good. We also got some good news. The first time we had a chance to see what the sex was it was 50/50 boy or girl. She could never get a good look. Then at my last appointment it was 90% boy. We are both very excited. I hope it doesn't change. We have decided to name him Owen Nelson Sagez. I love the name of Owen and Nelson is the name of Ben's dad. We are very excited. I have my targeted ultrasound on Monday and then we'll know if the baby properly growing. Hopefully all will go well.

Aquatic Center

We had seen so many commercials about the aquatic center in Sandy, so we decided that it would be fun to take Gabbi. We'll, Gabbi loved seeing the different water life animals, but it wasn't worth the cost I think. Half of the exhibits we closed and it was so crowded. It's not a very big place at all. But it was fun being able to watch Gabbi's face light up when she could recognize some of the animals; like turtles, penguins, and of course the fish. After we were done, we decided to head to Orem and take my Grandma out to dinner. It's always nice to be able to visit with her. We don't get to see her very often.

Kayla's birthday

Kayla's birthday was in may and she turned 7. We had dinner at mom and dad's with Jeff and Tiffany being the cooks. Kayla wanted spaghetti, it's her favorite. But every birthday dinner of Kayla's has to include shrimp. She hasn't gone a birthday without it. It surprises me that she like the raw shrimp. A lot of us look forward to it, not me of course, it has to be cooked for me to enjoy it. Go Kayla. She got book, clothes, and roller blades. She loves to read, and she got a lot of different books. She was very excited for the roller blades. She was a little scared to try them, but she's is getting the hang of it now.

Helpin in the Yard

One day we went into mom and dad's and dad was getting ready to burn some wood in the garden. Gabbi loves to be a big helper and wanted to do all she could to help papa. So she got right in there to help out. She put wood in the wheel barrel and then it was her job to hand the work to papa so he could throw it in the fire. Gabbi had a blast. She so cute when she wants to help. She's really good with putting the clothes in the dryer from me. That's her favorite job at our house. She also love to help Ben. When he gets home from work, she is in charge of putting his work out clothes in the dirty clothes basket. She does awesome and she feels happy when she does it. Good things to learn now.
