We had planned to do lots of camping this summer, but things don't quite work out the way you plan. The summer went by really fast, ex specially when you have things to get done. We did get to go on one camping trip with Ben's family. We stayed at Camp Fort Benaventura, located by the old Raptors stadium. It was a hit and miss for everyone.
Some of us were there the whole time and some of us could only be there part of the time. Even though everyone wasn't there the whole time, it was still fun. We they did some fishing and of course horse shoes and a camp fire. The first night we even went to a Raptors baseball game. Not your
average run of the mill camping trip, but it was still fun. And I didn't have to sleep in a tent. It was close enough to home, that Gabbi and I went home to sleep. After my reunion, I couldn't take an air bed being almost 8 months pregnant.

Weber County Fair
We decided to go to the Weber county fair when it was in town. Ben has a couple of co-workers that have horses and enter them in some of the events. So we went to watch how they did. It was pretty interesting to watch the different events and how the scoring a things go with it. One of his co-workers placed in his event. It made it more fun to watch with people we knew.
Thank heavens for mom too, she was nice enough to take Gabbi off our hands so we could enjoy the show. We started off with her, but we didn't finish. She was hard to keep occupied. She could only take so many horses. We also went to the demolition derby. That is Ben's favorite event. It was pretty scary. In the second to last meet there was a collision so hard that they had to life light one of the drivers out.
He had to be cut out of his car and taken to the hospital. It was pretty scary. While they were trying to get him out of the car, a riot broke out in the stadium where 15 or so sheriff deputies had to come in and take care of it. They arrested two people and had to take one on looker to the hospital as well. It was crazy, I have never seen a derby like that before.

Williams Family Reunion
This year's reunion was in Idaho, planned by my uncle Ric and aunt Cathy. We went camping at a campsite that was out in the boonies. It was crazy how far from the city it was. But it was fun. We went to the Minnetonka cave up
there as one of our activities. It has been years since I had been there. Didn't change much, but it was still a good tour of the cave. The tour guy was hilarious. The other activity we
had was a day at Bear Lake on the north side. Both my uncle Ric and my uncle Hal brought up boats for skinning and tubing. The kids had a blast playing on the beach and even the big kids too.
Ben and Brian for the first hour or so were having a blast making a sand castle village. It was funny to watch them play. They wouldn't leave it until they were done. It turned out pretty cool looking. They were very proud of their work. The rest of us relaxed and just enjoyed the day in the sun. It did get really windy for a while and that made it a little bothersome, but we made our own fun. Gabbi was even pretty good. That surprised me. She loved playing with her cousins on t
he beach and at the campsite, it was follow the leader the whole time. It was a nice weekend and always fun to see the whole family. It's not very often that we get to see everyone.
