Marker

So as some of you may know from my previous post that we are trying to potty train Gabbi. Updates: not working. We have left it all up to her now. But funny story. Three weeks ago I went to a jewelry party and left Gabbi with Ben. The party was almost over and Ben shows up. I was surprised because he didn't have Gabbi with him. He then tells me that he has been trying for the last 50 minutes to break into the house. He had accidental locked himself out. He was taking Gabbi potty and went outside to throw away her pull-up and locked the door behind him. So he came to get my keys and ran back to the house. When I got there he showed me the damage. She had gone through the wipes and pulled them all out, but the really funny part was what she did to herself. To keep her occupied on the potty so she'll actually sit there and try to potty, we give her a marker erase book. Well she took the marker and not only colored all over it, but colored all over herself. Luckily it wasn't the wall or anything else. It was pretty funny. I felt bad that Ben was so frustrated by it, all I could do was laugh.

Hair Cut

Gabbi had her first official hair cut and because I'm so cheap, I had my mom cut it for me. She's good at it. Gabbi did unbelievably well. She sat still and she thought it was pretty cool that Nana was cutting her hair. When you ask her to show you her new hair cut, she proudly turns around and shows you the back of her head. She loves her new bangs to.

Jewelry

To bide my time while Gabbi plays so nicely by herself, I have been making jewelry. I love it. Its a great hobby. I do watch bracelets, necklaces and earrings. I can look at a picture and I just make it with my own twist. I am having a blast. Here are some of my favorites.
If your interested in any jewelery let me know. I have made many for both my mom and sister, as well as myself. I have also made and sold some to Jenny's co-workers. Its fun for me and gives me something to do.

Count down

One month and counting. However, I have been counting down for a while now. I am ready to be done and have the baby here. I'm just not comfortable anymore, not to say I ever was. But I can't sleep, I have heart burn I have to take medicine for every day, and I waddle like a duck. Its funny. I am so ready to be done, I can't wait. But then I look at the end of the tunnel and ask myself, "Am I ready to have two kids?" Then I say I am okay to wait as long as it takes. Funny huh.

Potty training

So for about a month now we have been attempting to potty train Gabbi. We really wanted her out of diaper by the time the new baby arrive, but we are discovering that it is a lot harder then we thought. She was really excited at first because she got a stool to stand on to help her get on the potty and she got a cool chair to sit on. But over the course of a week or so that excitement changed and it became a battle. So now we have incorporated candy. She gets one m & m if she sits down and tries to go potty and she gets a small handful if she actually goes. Well, in a month she has gone a grand total of three times. She is even in pull-ups, but that hasn't really helped much either. Hopefully it will happen sooner then later. We have a month to go before baby comes and then it will just get harder, I fear.

Play place

Ben had to do some school one morning and Gabbi and I wanted to get out of the house, plus we had errands to run afterwards. So we went to McDonald's and while Ben piggy backed off their Internet Gabbi and I played in the play place. She was pretty apprehensive about it at first, being by herself in there, but once other kids started showing up to play, she did as she always does and followed them around to play with them.

Bath time

Ben thought that this was pretty funny. Gabbi one time figured out that her bath toys stick to her when they're wet. So she started this adventure and of course Ben had to help her go all the way.
