CTR

Every year the Primary presidency gives a gift to all the kids and primary teacher in primary for their birthday's. Last year we got Scripture stickers and book marks. This year they made vinyl letting with this years Primary theme; "CTR, we will serve the Lord". I decided to put them on floating picture frames and make it a picture collage of the kids. A picture for every birthday. I thought they turned out pretty cute and look forward to adding more pictures.

Fruit pizza

That same day we had plans to go up to Garland to go see Ben's dad and mom. We had planned to have dinner and play games. We had decided to just order pizza. Deann voluteered to get the pizza, so Ben and I did dessert. I thought that since we were having pizza it would be fun to have fruit pizza for dessert. When we got up there we had our pizza, which the kids loves. Its there favorite. Then we decided to let our stomachs settle a little before jumping into dessert. We decided to go over to Ben's Grandma's house for a few minutes. She had asked me to find a pattern that I liked so she could make a dress for Gabbi. She had recieved some red fabric and wanted to make her a dress. So I had found a pattern and wanted to get it to her so she could make the dress. Gabbi was excited to hear that Grreat Grandma Sagez was going to make her a dress. She however thought that we were picking it up. she wanted to take it now. So Grandma measure her and then we were set. Gabbi told her Thank you for the dress, we visited for just a few more minutes, and then we headed back to Nelson and Deann's. When we got there Owen was just cuddling with Deann it was cute. She said that one we realized we were gone, he wanted to be held and thats were he stayed until we got back. When we got back we decided to have our yummy fruit pizza. It was a new reciepe, one I had never tried before. It was a little worried about it, but it actually tasted pretty good. I was grateful for Ben's help cutting up all the fruit and putting it together. While enjoying our fruit pizza we were watching Moneyball. A realky good movie. I recomend seeing it, if you haven't.

Family Fun

After the party Ben had suggested that we go and see a movie as a family. The dollar theater was just down the street and we were on time for Puss in Boots. A perfect one for the kids. We hadn't had lunch yet, so we splurged and got some popcorn and a drink to share. Gabbi loves popcorn and she proved as much by eating half of the bag herself. She loved the movie. She was glued to the screen, while eating her popcorn of course. Owen did pretty good. He lasted through the first hour and then he started to become restless. He was tired, after all it was his nap time. So I ended up taking him out and once he had finally fallen asleep, I came back in in time to see the remaining 10 to 15 minutes. I was a little bugged by the theater attendants. They had started letting people back to the theater for the next show when ours hadn't even ended yet. There were 10 old people that came in trying to find seats. Our show hadn't ended and they were blocking kids views wile trying to find a seat and sit down. That was so annoying. You think they would have at least noticed that their show hadn't started yet and leave the theater so we could finish ours. Stupid high school kid, who doesn't know how to do his job. I should know, I used to work there.

Kamree is 3

Our cute little Kamree turned 3. Gabbi tells us that Kamree is hers and no one else's. Its cute. She loves her Kamree. They day of her party we had to run some errands and every time we got back in the car she asked us if it was time to go sing Kamree Happy Birthday. She was very excited when we finally got there. When she walked in, she ran straight to Kamree and gave her a hug. They played until it was time for Kamree to open presents. Kamree was very excited, just as all kids are. They don't always have the best look on their face, they just want the next present. It was funny. Gabbi was very excited to have Kamree open her gift from us. It was a princess tent and Gabbi wanted so badly to have Kamree open it at that moment so they could play. She was sad when we told her that they couldn't. They quickly forgot about the tent when it was time for Kamree to go around the room and give everyone hugs and say thanks. Gabbi followed right along behind Kamree and gave hugs too. It was funny how shy she got with those she didn't know, she skipped over them. It was hilarious. Then the best part for the kids was of course the cake. They got to eat cake and ice cream. Owen was loving the cake and ice cream. He burst into tears and violent screams when he was done with his, he wanted more. Boy that kids a pig.

Sleep over

Gabbi had her first official sleep over. One that was not at nana or papa's house. The family was over for Dinner Sunday night and the older kids were all asking if they could have a sleep over because they didn't have school the next morning, it was President's day. So the boys had their sleep over at Jenny's house, the girls had a sleep over at Jeff's house, but the little girls just looked at us and had a sad look on their face. Both Gabbi and Kamree asked if they could have a sleep over too. I didn't seem the harm in that, so Kamree went to ask Jeff and Tiffany and they said it was OK. We pulled out Gabbi's air mattress from Kamree to sleep on and we pull Gabbi's mattress down from her bed so they could both sleep on the floor. Once they were both ready for bed, they snuggled into their sleeping bags and went to bed. In the morning they had some breakfast and then just played all day. They played many things, they are so cute. Once the majority of the day was done we went over to Jeff and Tiffany's for dinner and Family home evening. When we got there they girls had so much fun talking about their sleep over and how their favorite part of the whole event was eating breakfast in the morning. It was funny to see their faces light up when they talked about it.

Valentines Day

For the first time in 3 years Ben was going to be home for Valentines day. The past 3 years Ben has been gone on reserves or classes for work. Seeing how I finally had my honey home this year, I was going to have some plans. This year we had plans to go to the stake Valentines dance. They have this dinner and dance every year. We have heard great things about this event and Ben was really excited about it. He really wanted to go, so we found a sitter to we could go. I had my friend, Taycina, do my hair and make-up so I could look really great for our date. Taycina and her husband, Jeff came with us too. When we got there they had it all decked out with decorations and everything. They had a really nice catered dinner, live band, and entertainment hour with a magician. It was such a fun night. Ben and I even danced. It was one of the best nights I've had in a while. Before we left, Ben was pretty sure that he knew the magician, so we went over to talk to him. It turns out that he did know him and they had a pretty nice conversation. After the dinner, Taycina and Jeff came over and we played games on the Wii. It was a really fun night.
To finish off the rest of the Valentines Holiday season, I had a few plans I wanted to put together. For family home evening we had a lesson about loving one another and we made Valentine heart cookies. While making the cookies Gabbi asked if we could take some to her friends, Amy and Bren. So when we were done cooking Gabbi decorated some and we put them on a plate for delivery. Sadly Gabbi tripped on the way up to the door and smashed on or two of the cookies, but they were still edible. Gabbi had a blast with the cookies. The next day was Valentines day, we had a heart dinner with heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphys and chocolate cover strawberries for dessert. We gave the kids wee pillow pets with heart shaped rice krispie treats. After dinner we went downstairs and played Mario on the Wii. It was a really nice relaxing holiday at home.

Cardboard Box

When we got our new bed and mattress, we got 2 free pillows. We of course had to send out for them. 6 weeks later they finally came. We had left the empty box in the kitchen and Owen thought that was the coolest toy. He pushed it around like a car for a good 30 minutes. It was funny yo watch him. At one point he tried to get in the box, but didn't succeed.

Dazed

For family home evening a two ago we were playing games. We were playing Family Game Night on the Wii. Gabbi loves that game and she does pretty good too. But the funny part of the night was Owen. He was just standing there staring. He stood there for probably 15 minutes without moving, just watching the game on the T.V. It was so cute. I love that little guy.

Broken

We had a wind storm a week ago. Not as bad as the one that happened a month or so ago. The one that left us out of power for 2 days. Luckily this one wasn't as bad. However we did sustain some damage. We have a lot of pine trees in our yard, and one of the trees had 2 broken branches that were laying on our neighbors fence. Ben was able to take some time from work and come home to get things taken care of before the weight of the branches broke the tree. Ben was very excited to be able to use his new shears that he got for Christmas. They worked wonders.
