Gabbi is doing pretty good in preschool, I hope that it sticks. Im afraid it won't, but I will hope for the best. She had her 1st field trip to the North Ogden Library. They had a learning center with games, songs, and stories. It was really fun for the kids. It was interactive and a good learning experience. Even Owen had fun. After the fun stuff was over, we walked around the library. While I was looking for some books for the kids they had a chance to play at their toy tables. It was a lot of fun.

Dress Up
We were up in Garland visiting Ben's parents and the night was so fun. We played dress up. The best part was Owen, Ben, and Nelson. Owen hates to wear hats, its a chore to keep them on his head. Ben and his dad were taking turns putting hats on Owen's head. They would put them on and Owen would quickly take them off. It was so funny to watch the three of them.
Bowling
We haven't been bowling in a very long time. I would wager that the last time we went bowling was before Owen was born. We had a coupon to the Bear River Bowling Alley so we planned to go up to Garland and go bowling with Nelson and Deann. We met them at their house and then all headed together. When we got there we ordered dinner and waited for a lane to open up. When we were done eating we got our shoes and our lane. Gabbi's been bowling before, but this was Owen's first time. It was a blast helping both the kids play. The kids and I bowled on the same lane and then Nelson and Ben bowled on the same lane. I was surprised at how well the kids did. They even managed to get a strike and a spare.
When we were done bowling we went back to Nelson and Deann's house to hang out. The kids played while we visited. In the midst of the playing, the kids pulled out the chest with dress up clothes. Owen has a thing for hats and Ben and Nelson thought it would be fun to "play" with Owen and the hats. They would put them on and he would pull them off. They played this game as quickly as they could. It was so funny. Then Gabbi dressed up in a dragon costume. She looked so dang cute and Owen was afraid for a bit. It was such a fun night. The kids really had a blast.
The score board. K for kids and J for Jerilyn. However the kids bowled on both, that had so much fun. They were very sad when the game was over.

Drive In
I'm sure you have noticed that we really do love to go to the drive in. The best time is when the movies we see are for kids. We went to go see Hotel Transylvania and Paranorman. Before the show we walked around to by the time. It was really cute to see Ben and the kids walk on the line together like a train. When we were finally back to our car the show was about to start. We got the kids bundled up so they wouldn't get cold and let the shows begin. Hotel Transylvania was really good. The kids loved it. I wasn't a fan of Paranorman. I was glad that Gabbi fell asleep. Owen stayed awake during both shows, I was very surprised.

Park
I like to be able to get out of the house. One night we went to the Harrisville park. We took some dinner with us and once we were done eating the kids went to play. The best part was Owen. He climbed by himself up to the top of one of the toys leading to the monkey bars. He wanted to be like Gabbi and try it. Ben helped him grab the bars, and he just hung there. He hung there for the longest time without help. It was awesome, what a strong boy. The kids loved the park.

Bedrooms
With kids, they grow up fast. Owen can now get out of the crib, so to prevent him from getting hurt we turned the crib into a toddler bed. He was really excited about it. I was a little worried that he would just continue to climb out of it instead of sleeping. So far so good.
While driving around town we saw a matress store adveritse a going out of business sale that we thought we should take advantae of. We went to check out their prices and they were pretty good. We also checked a few other places and they were the cheapest, so we decided to act on it. We bought Gabbi a twin bed and then gave the toddler bed to Owen.
While moving the toddler bed into Owen's rooms, we moved all the baby furniture to the up stairs bedroom. My baby is getting all grown up. :( They were both very excited about their new rooms.

Park with Ryder
The other day we had a play date with Ryder and Amanda. We had planned to meet them at the park down from their house. Cute little park. Has a stream going through it. The Fire truck that Ryder brought went for a ride down that stream, thanks to Owen. The kids really do have so much fun when they play together. We should get together more often with them. They are so cute to watch.

Chillin
We were at a Funeral luncheon and as any one with kids knows, some times its a little hard to keep a rope on them. During the luncheon, I wasn't sure where Owen went and when searching for him I found this...
Uncle Jeff's secretly a good guy, even though his favorite game to play with Owen is "mess with Owen." Too cute for words.

Play Place
I know I have a lot of posts reguarding play place's, but the simple things are always the best. Ben needed to get some homework done and the internet was taking forever at our place. So we decided to get the kids out of the house and hope for better internet reception. It worked. We went to the mall to let the kids play and he had great service at the mall. He was able to do his work in record time.

St. George
Mom and Dad asked us many months ago, if we would be interested in going to see Aladdin at Tuachaun down in St. George. We of course decided yes. We both liked the thought of going to see the show and taking Gabbi. She loved Disney on Ice, we hoped she would love this one too. So we got tickets and waited for the time to pass. Sadly mom wasn't able to come. She wasn't able to get off work and it was to late to change our tickets. So dad decided to take the girls (Miranda and Kayla) instead. I wish mom would have been able to come, but it was still fun with the girls.
We left Wednesday night after Ben got off work. We met dad and the girls sometime after Nephi to eat dinner and let the kids get out and move around. After dinner is was a push for St. George. The kids fell asleep about an hour before we got there. Once we got to Grandma and Grandpa Hall's house we set up the sleeping arrangement and went to bed. Owen was not that interested in sleeping. He had his cat nap and was up for the night. We first laid him down at about 11:30, come 3:00 a.m. he finally feel asleep and that was after a car ride. I was to tired. It made me so mad that he wouldn't go to sleep. I was hoping to catch up on a nap later. Ben headed to the store to get some stuff for breakfast. When he got back everyone chowed down and got ready for some fun.
We brought out bikes down and went for a bike ride. The girls complained about the ride about 10 minutes into it. But we pushed on and continued our ride. Owen even feel asleep during the ride. I knew he would be tired. Once the girls begged us to turn around we did. We had biked about 7 miles total. It was a lot of fun. I hadn't been on a bike in a long time. When we got back we went to the store to pick up stuff for lunch and then headed to the red rocks for a picnic. After we were done eating the kids had a blast walking and climbing all over the rocks. Sadly Owen and I cut our time short. Owen wasn't feeling very well and he needed a nap. He and I headed back to the house to get cleaned up and relax. After a little while everyone else joined us back at the house. We each took turns getting cleaned up and then to pass the time we put in the Disney movie, Aladdin, to get ready for the nights show.
When it was time dad and I went to go and get a pizza for dinner and when we were done we headed to the theater. When we got there, it was just beautiful. The landscaping around the outdoor theater was just breath taking. I couldn't wait to see what else we would see in the show. We checked in and got our tickets and then headed to the show care area. Owen wasn't allowed to see the show, he was too young. But they provided a day care type facility called show care. We checked him in and as I was tring to walk out, he got sad and followed me. I walked back in and and showed him some cars and he was fine after that. They have a monitor in the waiting area where you could check on your kids during the show and intermission. He did a great job. We checked on him a couple times, he looked like he was having a lot of fun.
Gabbi loved the play. They had wonderful actors and the sets were amazing. They incorporated the surroundings into the show. They even had live camels, fireworks, and a 3D section. It was truly and amazing show. I'm glad mom and dad asked us to go. Luckily the second night for sleep was much better. Both kids were ready for bed and fell asleep quickly. In the morning we ate, got cleaned up, packed up, and hit the road. We stopped for lunch and a play ground so the kids could get some of their energy out and then he headed the rest of the way home. Both kids were really good in the car. Thanks to Jeff and Tiffany allowing us to use their portable DVD player, the kids had plenty to watch to occupy their time. We had such a great time.
