The Sagez get together this month was a Halloween party. Amanad and Dan hosted, they did a great job. They planned for a very fun Halloween party. Everyone came dressed up and it was fun to see who everyone was. Brian had some kind of scary mask one. The kids weren't too excited about that. Ben was the hippy, I was a witch, Nelson was and old hefty man, Deann was a witch as well. Amanda and Dan were prison mates and Major and Koa (Amanda and Dan's dogs) were the police officers. Owen was a monster, Gabbi a butterfly, Ellie a BYU cheerleader, and Cami was a pumpkin.
The party first started with a spooky dinner. Amanda and Dan made mummy dog (pigs n' blankets). They were yummy. I love pigs n' blankets. Then the rest of us brought some fun spooky sides. Karen made deviled eggs with olive spiders on top. Deann brought veggie plates in the shapes of a pumpkin and skull. We did spider and monster cup cakes. We also had chips and dip and other little munchies. It was a really fun dinner.
After the yummy dinner, the kids played in the front room for a while, while the adults visited. When everyone was done eating and relaxing, we all headed outside for a Halloween pinata. It was a pumpkin and the kids thought that was pretty fun. I think they had more fun watching the adults play along. Everyone got a turn, but to add a twist the adults had to spin before they could swing the bat.
The best part was Brian. He spun himself and he got so dizzy that he ended up falling over. He got one swing and down he went. It was funny. One that we could have sent into America Funniest Viedos' had anyone recorded it. It was even cuter when Ellie ran over to him to make sure he was ok. All the adult were really fun to watch.
Amanda helped spin Dan and that was hilarious. You could tell that she was totally enjoying it. She would spin him one way and then the other. She changed directions many times. In total I think he was spun at least 20 times. He walked around for a minute, but still got a good swing in between his wobbling.
After the pinata, we all came inside for games. The kids watched Casper in the front room and the adults played Bingo and pumpkin numbers in the kitchen. It was a lot of fun. In the bingo game, Ben and I won the kids some necklaces that lit up. One was a pumpkin and the other a ghost. Our kids love flash lights and we thought they would love these.
It was a great night.
