Primary Program

Sunday was Gabbi's Primary Program. It was sad not to be able to have Ben there. For some random reason when ever she is in the Sacrament meeting for one thing or another, he never seems to be there. But Nana came to see her, so that made up for it.

She was very excited to be able to sit on the stand. We always stop her from going up there, but now she had a reason to go.

She did such a great job on her lines. She had 2.

          Line 1: Heavenly Father knows my name is Gabbi. I know He loves me.

          Line 2: I am a Child of God.

She had the 2nd line completely memorized, but struggled with the 1st line. The 2 lines were given at different parts of the program. She did a great job on her first line with a little help from her teacher and I waited and waited for her to give her second line. The meeting time was coming to an end when some of the congregation got up and began saying "I am a Child of God." I assumed that meant her line was coming soon. I figured many of the children would get up and say the same line after all the adults were done. Nope it was just Gabbi. It melted my heart. She did such a great job. She had such confidence and bravery in her face when she stood up by herself and said her last line. The last line of the program.

The program was very touching. They all did such a wonderful job. The songs those chose were perfect and to see the bright shinning faces of all the children as they sang them, moved me to tears. I could blame it on the pregnancy hormones, but I would be wrong. It was the spirit of those children singing and saying the sweet simple truths of the Gospel.
