Certificate

Gabbi came home from school on Wednesday very excited. She couldn't hold it in. When we got home she ripped out all the papers she had in her book bag and then hid something behind her back. When I asked her what it was she told me it was a surprise.

With a grin on her face, she pulled it from behind her back and showed me a certificate that she had earned at school. I asked her what it was for and she couldn't tell me. I'm not sure she really understood why. When looking at it, it said that she had earned it for excellence in Homework.

The certificate was a gift card to the Pizza Pie Cafe for her to eat free. She loves that place, so I could see why she was really excited. Sadly for her we won't be able to use it for a while. Good thing it doesn't have an expiration date on it.
