Drive-in

We were lucky enough again to find a line up that peaked our interest, well at least Ben's interest. I wasn't as thrilled, but at least I can say that I've seen it.

When we got there we got one of our usual spots, as close as we could get and in the center. As long as nobody big parked in front of us we were okay. When we were parked and done pulling out our chairs and what not, I took the boys for a walk. They were getting restless. I let Owen push William around, they both liked that. Owen makes it a little bit more adventurous then mom does.
After walking around for a while, we went back to the van. Ben had pulled out the yard toys and the kids were able to have some fun with those as well. Sadly it was short lived for them because they started using the scoops for shovels and throwing rocks. To add to it, when we took the scoops away, they just threw the rocks themselves. At that point it was time for them to sit for a while. So we go a movie going for them while Ben and I finished our dinner, Cafe Rio.
Our movie line up was Ant-man and Mission Impossible 5. I wasn't so excited for Ant-man I thought it actually looked really dumb. I told Ben it was way to far fetched. His response was, "it's a movie, its not supposed to be real." He's right and it was a little bit entertaining. I probably won't buy it, but it was fun to watch.
Mission Impossible on the other had was awesome. I love the actors they have and they do truly make the movie. It was suspenseful and intriguing all in one. This one I will definitely buy.
Once the movies were over, we packed up, put the kids movie away, seeing how they were all asleep anyways, and go ready to go. I looked up for a moment and couldn't resist taking a picture of the moon. It was breathtaking. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Date night at Lagoon

It was finally our turn for some fun at Lagoon. We planned for a date night. We were both able to find sitters, amazingly enough and we were set for our night of fun. Ben didn't get off til 4:30, but  we had the sitters and they were willing to watch them earlier, so we took that advantage and headed there as soon as we were ready. Ben caught up with us when he got off.

Wicked
Sky Ride
Hydro Luge
Samurai
Once Ben got there we were in for some real fun. We may have had to ride some of the rides again now that Ben was there, but we didn't have a care in the world and that was fine with us.

Rattlesnake Rapids
I did not want to ride this ride at all. They made me do. I am just like our kids and getting wet. I hate it. While in line we found some people who had used rain coats and were done with them. As they were walking out they offered them to us. I said yes, Christy and I had a little bit of fun with them while we waited. Sadly they walked back to us and asked us to make sure to find them when we were done because they wanted to ride again. Christy handed hers over and gave me a look, so I handed mine over to. I regret it, I was soaked. It was horrible walking around in wet clothes, but I was determined not to let this ruin my date night, after all we were having so much fun.
Turn of the Century (see what I mean by soaked.)
After riding all the ride we wanted to, be decided to ride the go carts. Sadly we waited in line for every. The race that was going before ours had caution lights almost every other lap. It was driving me crazy. If it just had been a regular ride and not extra I totally would have walked away. At least it was some what fun, sadly not necessarily for the cost, but overall it wasn't too bad. I don't think we'll do that again.
After the go carts, I was starting to get a headache and Brandon doesn't like the Rocket so we let them have at it.
Wicked ( I think at this point I was almost all the way dry. There were two spots left on my pants.)
We had a blast and we stayed til it closed. I will definitely insist that we do this date night thing again. When we got back to mom and dad's we saw this in the drive way. Gabbi and Owen had drawn us a picture. I hope that means they missed us.   : )

Dentist

He is feeling a lot better with the Dentist. It's been a long time coming too. I think he likes it now for the shear fact that he gets to help during his check-ups. He gets to hold the "sucker" as he calls it. I think he likes the cool glasses too.
This time round he had to have his x-rays done, first time ever. He may look happy now with the cover on, but once she got started he wasn't so happy.
Our kids have really small mouths. You wouldn't have guessed it for how talkative and sassy they are with their mouths, but they definitely are small. He couldn't fit the mouth piece in his mouth and bite down in order to take the picture. She had to sit there and hold it in place hoping that it would work. Luckily it took a good enough picture and he didn't have to do it again.
Once the pictures were done, he was more relaxed and a trooper for the Hygienist. He had a great check-up too. No complaints, we just need to work on his flossing.

Daddy's bike

Since Ben had come up by himself, he rode his motorcycle up. Before we headed home, Ben let the boys have a seat. William absolutely love it. The noise the motorcycle made every time that Ben revved the engine made him smile. Its one of the only things that makes it worth it for Ben to have his toy.

Softball Tournament

Pioneer Day weekend brought a softball tournament for Miranda. It was close enough that we could stay at Grandma's and attend her games. So that's exactly what we planned. We got there in enough time to catch her second game on Friday. They had won their first and their second and were done for the rest of the day. They didn't have to play again until Saturday.

Game 2
After the game we went back to grandma's to relax and unwind til it was time to get some dinner. We decided to go to one of Grandma's favorite places, Los Hermanos. When we got there, there was a little bit of a wait, but it worked out great because Ben was still on his way. He had to work on Friday and couldn't join us until that night. He got there right as they were about to seat us, so it worked out great.
After we were done with dinner we went back to Grandma's house. Some of us got ready and went to bed and the rest played games and visited.

In the morning they headed out bright and early because Miranda had to be there early for practice and their first game. When we got up we quickly ate breakfast and then headed to the ball park. We made it in time to watch the last 20 minutes or so. The did a great job and Miranda had some really good plays. The won that game and had a small break til their next one.
Game 3
After game 3 we went to pick up Grandma so she could watch the next game. While the game was going the kids were entertained by the fenced in park that was available. That made it very nice to be able to watch the game and not worry about the kids. After game 4 we went to grab lunch (pizza) and brought it back for everyone. We ate our pizza while we waited for the next game to start.

Game 5 started shortly after lunch. It seemed like the games were going by faster even though they really weren't. They won again. At this point Grandma was ready to go home. It had been a long day and the tournament wasn't about to end. So we took her home and came back in time for the next game. They had won game 5 and were finally playing as the last two teams. The next game determined who the winner of the tournament was. We were supposed to leave and meet Ben's dad, they were down camping in Ogden, but we decided to stay and visit them tomorrow.
game 5
During the game the kids had picked a lot of grass and made a creature of some sort. At least they were entertained by the simple things.
Game 6 started and we were there for the long haul. It had been a long day, but it was a blast. Miranda and her team are awesome ball players and it was worth the whole day to watch them play. They had amazing plays that I didn't think were possible with girls that age.
game 6
Since the day had been so long, the kids found interesting way to keeps themselves entertained. They found out that if they got a fly ball and turned it back in they could get candy. We found out their trick. Cameron and a friend discovered that their arm could fit in the ball catch. They would pull the balls out and turn them in. Cam got busted, but that didn't stop Owen, he then tried to do the same. He got busted too. They all ran away laughing.
Game 6 had some amazing plays and a few unfair calls, but once all was said and done, they lost. They took second for the tournament which isn't bad at all. It was a 2 loss elimination and it came down to that last hard earned game.
After their awards we all headed back to the car. Not with a few more things of fun. Owen had a blast with Nana's wagon and Gabbi and William had fun being and pushing down the hill in the stroller.
When we finally got to the van we loaded up and headed for home. Not before we stopped and grabbed a bite to eat though.

Lagoon July 20th

Another trip to Lagoon, however this time Ben wasn't able to go with us. He was at work and had a lot of homework he had to get done afterwards so we ventured without him. We didn't stay for very long, but it was just enough to tire the kids out before heading home to eat dinner and head to bed.

Bulgy the Whale
Red Rock Rally
Flying Aces
Helicopters
William was such a good boy. He was stuck in that stroller almost the entire time and he didn't throw a fit once. I did have treats to bribe him with, but a treat can only work for so long.
Speedway Jr.
Wild Kingdom Train
Most of the animals were asleep, at least they were out and asleep.
Musik Express
Paratropper
It was so much fun to watch William on this ride. He practically froze every time we came around to the front. It was hilarious. He at least had a smile on his face and he was laughing when the ride ended. For his first time riding this ride I think he had fun.
