At this point, I have lost track of how many teeth all of them have lost. This time around it was Owen. Yesterday Owen's tooth was really bothering him and he wanted it out. He's been working on it for a while and I even asked him if he wanted me to help. He quickly responded with a no; and went to work on it himself. He had been working on it all morning and even continued to work on it as we drove to school lunch with no luck.
While at lunch that luck changed. After they were done eating, he had gone to play at the park. A few minutes later, he came running over. His tooth had come out and wasn't sure what to do with it. I told him to clean it off and that I would take care of it until we left. Sadly, I didn't do so hot. I completed spaced the fact that I had set in on my leg while sitting down and visiting with Shantelle. When I got up to help clean up the mess the kids had left behind, I completely forgot that it was there and it fell. I didn't realize it until it was time to leave. I couldn't believe it. I searched and searched, but with no luck. I told him that we would just have to leave a note like we did the time he lost one at school. He wasn't happy about it but rolled with the punches.
This morning he was very happy to see that the note he had left for the Tooth Fairy worked. He happily showed me the dollar that she had left him. At least it was a happy ending.
