4 years!
On the 8th, Sam and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary! I couldn't have picked a better partner. Marring Sam was the best decision I ever made! Love you, babe!

My Baby is 1!!
James turned 1 last Friday. This is the little b-day party we had for him. PS-I could get NO smiles from him when I got my camera out.
The party friends
We didn't lite his candle because it was too windy. He didn't know any different.
He loved it!
His cheeks stuffed with cupcake!

James also went to the dr. for his one year check-up. He and I were both upset after the check-up due to 5 shots, blood taken from his arm, and a bloody nose from whacking himself in the nose with a cabinet door in the dr. office. Sad.
Here are his stats:
21 lbs -30% percentile
30 in-60% percentile
Head-50% percentile
I can't believe that James has been in our family for a whole year. He is more than I could ever dream of. I love him too much!

Summer Vacation Part 2-California
We were excited to spend the month of June in California. Sam had just finished his boards and didn't have to study anymore and could finally play with us! We were able to do lot of fun things!
Matching vans! Thanks Aunt Lisa. We love them!
James is now obsessed with dogs. When he sees them he barks and barks! He seems to spot them everywhere.
Boat time! It was James' first time on a boat.

James did pretty good on the boat until he would remember that he was wearing his life jacket and then this would happen:

Aunt Lisa

We were able to go to one of my mom's best friend's house and have dinner with her family. Her youngest is named James and his birthday is close to my James' so we had a little cake for both of the Jameses.

James with James. It was WAY past baby James' bedtime when this picture was taken. No blowing out candles for baby James.

With Aunt Laura. This is classic James. He only drinks his sippy cup using the side of his mouth. Crazy kid!
Warning: Tons of pics
Cousin fun! It was so great to hang out with cousin Coop! I love that James has a cousin so close in age.

Summer Vacation Part 1- Houston
The whole month of May we were in Houston. Sam was taking a review course there for his boards. Sam studied about 14 hours a day for a month. It was crazy! We are so glad they are done with. So, while Sam studied, James and I played!
Our trip in pictures.
James loves fun Uncle Jake. I think the feeling is mutual.

We spent lots of time at the pool with friends.
Nonie gave James his first taste of ice cream. He was in HEAVEN!! Even smiling while eating his ice cream!
Chocolate smile. He kinda looks like the joker here!
Eating crawfish for the first time.

Girls Weekend!! In May we had our annual high school girls weekend. It was a blast! I am so grateful for their friendship.
This year I was able to celebrate my first Mother's Day. Sam gave me this watch. I love it!

Sam and I were able to squeeze in a few late night dates out to some fun restaurants. Yay, for free babysitting.
