Photos From Australia

For those of you who do not know we lived in Australia before we moved to Scotland, I am continuing my journey down computer file memory lane with the following photos...

My best friend Jessica came with her daughter Kayden to visit us while we lived in Australia. We had an amazing trip - this is us in the Grampians. Can you see the kangaroos?

We also went to Sydney harbor and all the other Sydney attractions.

We all visited a honey farm in Tasmania, after which Andrew and I could not eat honey for a couple of months - we were so sick of it:)

Congratulations Andrew - you're going to be a dad! This was a special breakfast I did for Andrew to tell him I was pregnant with Gaius (well I did not know it was Gaius at the time!).

The Twelve Apostles on the southern coast of Australia.

The Twelve Apostles on the southern coast of Australia are so beautiful. We took the youth from the church we were working with on a camping trip and this was one of the many things we saw.

Just because my husband looks like a country western singer and star...well he is in my eyes at least!

Dad and Andrew at the Sydney Harbor bridge.

Our cat Dallas. We also had a dog named Houston.

Andrew at McKenzie Falls.

Eleanor and Xavier (one of the Seeing Eye dogs I was training that went everywhere with me) at McKenzie Falls.

Our "farm in the city". We had a cat, countless dogs (some of which stayed the same others of which changed, i.e. the Seeing Eye Dogs), ducks, chickens, and a very mean goose. The brown dog was our own dog, Houston. He ate quite a few of our chickens and a few neighbours as well - no, only joking!

Did I ever tell you that I used to kill my own chickens, ducks, and geese?....yummy!

A Walk Down Memory Lane

Forgive me I have gone searching through old photos on my Mom's computer--what fun--for me at least. There are new photos of our time in Houston - at present just keep scrolling down! LOL

He was sooo cute!!! Gaius a week or two old.

This is a professional photo of us when Gaius was exactly 7 days old. He was such a beautiful baby.

Gaius is just days old here with his Grammie. He spent most of his first 5-6months in this sling - he (and we) loved it.

I love Andrew with longer hair and a beard! This was Gaius' first Easter (2006).

I have taken a walk down memory lane and these photos of Gaius are reminding me of the difficulties we went through. Gaius was born with a sever sucking problem that was not diagnosed until he was almost three months. He was so skinny (it is painful for me to think back on that time) but he was such a happy child. Praise the Lord who holds our children in His hands!

This photo really shows how skinny he had gotten. The Lord blesses though, because he continued to grow right along this curve (except in weight) and he was happy and so quick at doing everything else but put on fat!
Me and my "joey"(Gaius at a couple of months).

This photo was taken the second night of Gaius' life out in the world. I could not get him to stop crying and finally in frustration I handed him to Andrew and said, "you take him I am going to bed!" Next thing I know I wake up to find Andrew and Gaius cuddled up together. That was it - from that moment on Gaius cuddled up with us and was a happy kid (well most of the time!).

Gaius at about 6 months. AUUhhh he is so cute!

Does anyone recognise this pair? We shaved Gaius' hair when he was about three months old--I regretted it about 2 seconds after it was done. He was still so cute!

This was taken at our Christmas in July while we were living in Australia 4 years ago.

This was taken right around the time of Dominic's birth (three years ago). This is Bronwyn, my oldest sister, and Annette the sister just up from me. We had such fun hanging out together. I know I am the odd-ball out with my blond hair. The two cute kids are Millie Jane (Bronwyn's youngest) and Chaz (Annette's oldest).

I remember this moment like it was yesterday. This is me and my nephew Dominic. Andrew and I were living in Australia at the time. However I had flown back to be at the birth of this sweet baby. I don't remember much of this night but I remember sitting with Dominic and thinking how wonderful and beautiful he is.

The Three of Us

I love this photo of Andrew and me (Gaius is in the belly) at my Grandpa's 90th birthday.

The Fergusons

This is almost my whole family (bro.sisters mom and dad). This was taken at my Grandpa's 90th b-day. (From the Left: Bronwyn, Iain, Dad, Mom, Eleanor, and Annette)

The Ferguson Clan

WOW! I am using my moma's computer and found this photo on it. This was taken at my late Grandpa Ferguson's 90th Birthday - almost the whole family was present. I was pregnant with Gaius.
