D is for Dentist

The kids had their first ever dental appointments today, by their daddy!  Ella was a little timid at first, and Cole seemed like a pro. Proud to report: no cavities!

PBS Kids

Watch Cole dancin' to the music

PBS Kids came to downtown Indy at Military Park. Ella was so excited that day, as if she was going to Disneyland, I'm sure. She could hardly wait to see George the Monkey, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Cat in the Hat, but especially the Wild Krats brothers. She LOVES the Wild Krats!  We went with our great friends the Goffs!

Here she is watching Martin and Chris Kratt tell their amazing adventures with animals.

Curious George

Duck from Word World

Cow from Chick Fil A

Thank you PBS for totally making my kid's day!

Father & Son Trip

Since Ella had the chance to go with daddy a couple weekends ago, it was Cole's turn to go canoeing with the scouts down the same river...

They cooked hot dogs over a fire

They went swimming in a running river and canoeing... all firsts for Cole.
Don't be scared in the picture above, Scott is under the water right next to him...
just for a good picture effect!

His face shows how he really feels about being all wet and muddy

Scott had a great time taking Cole along, and suprisingly, he behaved well.  He needed some daddy time!

7th Anniversary Trip: Louisville

For our 7th year anniversary we decided to go to Louisville so that we could attend a temple session actually together! Um, which turned out to be an eventful session with me practically fainting on the alter and being escorted out...(Note To Self: Never be witness couple when pregnant!)  Afterwards we went to eat ASAP nearby at the Summit Outlets, then went shopping and got some frozen yogurt (pictured above).  It was a great morning actually, we loved the time together!

Then we went back to the hotel to change and headed downtown Louisville.  They were having this huge music fest by the water, so we walked around...

That evening we went to the 4th Street market place where all this live music playing outside and ate at Hard Rock Cafe.  Then we went to a late showing of Pirates of the Carribean.  It was a fun day to do whatever we wanted with no schedule.

Fishing Trip

Scott planned this day of fishing and canoeing on this river close to Attica. Scott was thrilled that his friend Mark from his hometown was coming down for a visit. Ella did amazing on the trip. They were gone from sun-up until past sun-down...
and returned as wet as could be from falling in the water a few times, Ella never complained. Scott was thrilled to have a fishing/camping buddy now!

Fancy Nancy Tea Party

The Greenwood Library had a "Fancy Nancy Tea Party" for the preschoolers. Ella was so excited about it, and talked about it everyday for a week before. It was a fun day filled with wrapped hot dogs, juice, cupcakes, making your own crown and more. I was at my ultrasound apt. so I didn't get to go, so she went with her friend Adrienne.
