{Park City 2013}

Our family has been meeting at Park City for 10 years!
(I've only had my blog for the past 7)

We've had some fun times! My, how we and our
kids have aged through those years!
There's so many reasons why we keep coming
back here to Bear Hollow Condo's every year.
There's the pool day at the clubhouse,

Everyday the kids are swimming in the hot tub on the balcony of our cabin,

There's the Alpine Slide Kiddie Rides,

All the grandkids!!

We had an informal baby shower for my sisters Melanie & Stephanie since they are both having girls and the next time we all get together will probably
be for one of their baby blessings.
Mel is due the end of August and Steph is
due the beginning of December.
We LOVE the bowling place in Park City, we use their private bowling room with 4 lanes and order pizza, drinks and snacks... and we all have a fabulous time!!

The Red Rock Brewery Restaurant is amazing,
and has the most delish gourmet food!
This year we went to Jump it Up Utah!
Our kids have so much energy, and they
jumped for over 2 hours straight!
Great visit, great seeing everybody,
here's to next year!

Oregon trip - tiny tidbits

So, these events are out of order, and more on the random side
(but I had to include them before adding pictures of our next trip)
While Scott was in Astoria doing his guided fishing tour,
he took time afterwards to visit the Wreck of Peter Iredale,
which shipwrecked there in 1906!

While Scott was gone with the older two kids on their trip, I was visiting with my youngest sister Melanie in Wilsonville. She lives in the cutest apartments and in the middle of their neighborhood is this pond/park/playground area. I took Brock there everyday while Melanie was gone at work just for the morning. I didn't know there was a splash pad at the park, and it was an extremely hot day... so I had to let Brock just get soaking wet. He absolutely LOVED every minute of it, and cried when it was time to go home and eat lunch with Mel.

There was this pond right next to the playground area and I literally had to hold Brock's had to keep him from trying to jump into it.
He's my child with NO FEAR!

Portland Zoo

The morning we left Lincoln City, we went back to Portland to stay at my sister's place. On the way, we stopped by a little farmer's market that had pony rides!!
Brock ate lunch while the older kids rode the ponies.
I picked up some of my favorite: Mt. Rainier cherries.

My kids are true animal lovers, but especially horses

We spent the night at my sisters, woke up,
packed everything up and headed to the Portland Zoo.
It's a good zoo, has all the basics.
We had a great family week and our
time at the zoo was so peaceful and relaxing,
knowing it was the end of all the fun, kinda sad.

After this, we went to La Grande, OR to visit my mom and step-dad. They were having a HUGE family reunion there with all of Fred's side. There were probably 50-60 people there... camping on their 10-acre ranch!  Here's my kids with the horses.... again! :)

Coming next: back to our house for a night, then on to Park City!

{4th of July: Lincoln City, OR}

We arrived in Lincoln City, Oregon on Wednesday, July 3rd. Scott took the kids to the beach to fly kites while I went to pick up some famous clam chowder at Mo's Restaurant.

We gathered to eat on the balcony of our
ocean front beach house we rented.
Couldn't ask for a better view or sunset that night!

Scott and the kids found a bunch of clams washing up on the shore.
Of course, Scott cooked them up for an after-dinner snack.

The next morning we went out to Pigs 'n Pancakes, the best breakfast place there. Then we got all of our stuff and headed to the parade. We got there right on time, but forgot to bring our camping chairs. Oh well, we got a nice place to stand in the shade. :)

Our kids were anxiously waiting for them to throw candy,
and had to wait until the 2nd half of the parade.

We saw bigfoot!

We went to a local pizzeria for dinner, and it was amazing!
Scott is very passionate about his food, it was dripping with cheese, yummo!

After the parade, Scott and Brock took naps while I hit the beach with the kids. It was FREEZING! I had a sweater on, but I wished I had my snow suit! The water was way too cold for me to get in more than just my feet. But my kids didn't mind.

They found this HUGE hole that our neighbor dug out.

silly poses

Then we got our chairs and headed to the
east shore of Siletz Bay for fireworks.

What a fun family day, so many great memories!
