Battling extreme heat and fierce competition, the under-16 squad of Destiny Eagles FC clinched victory in the Malaysian Meet the World Tournament 2026, and secured a place at the world’s largest youth football tournament, Gothia Cup. The Malaysian pre-tournament was organized together with Destiny Football Development Centre, a technical partner with expertise in football development, technical governance and grassroots engagement. Meet the World: it’s not just football. Recently, SKF Italy hosted a Meet the World tournament in Turin, Italian edition. The tournament was dedicated to athletes with intellectual disabilities, competing for a spot at the Gothia Special Olympics in Gothenburg, Sweden, where football becomes something bigger than a game. The final in the Italian pre-tournament went all the way to penalties. After a nerve-wracking shootout, Accademia Sport lifted the trophy and earned their tickets to Sweden this summer. They will join SKF teams from around the world in Gothenburg this summer, taking part in an international week of exchange that goes far beyond football.
