Introducing Scheduled Tasks 2.0 — a major upgrade to recurring work in Manus. Scheduling is no longer just about running something at the right time. It is about running it in the right place, with the right context. Now scheduled work can continue in the same task, power background actions in Manus-built web apps, and give you clearer visibility into upcoming and past runs. Available now to all users.

Apparently, people are walking through airports and offices with their laptops cracked open so their AI coding agents don't stop running. It's a funny visual, but it highlights a real limitation in how most AI tools work right now. They run locally on your machine, which means your laptop needs to stay open and awake the entire time. This is one of the reasons Manus is built to be cloud first. Everything runs on its infrastructure, not yours. You can close your laptop, go to dinner, take a flight, and your tasks keep running. You get a notification when it's done. Manus is also LLM-agnostic, so instead of being locked into one model, Manus picks the best model for each task automatically. As new models come out, you benefit immediately without switching tools or rebuilding workflows. There is a solution to the indignity of walking through an airport holding your laptop open like a taco just to ship software.

Manus now goes deeper with Similarweb. You can analyze the keywords, referrals, landing pages, and popular pages behind any website's traffic — directly inside Manus. That means you can finally answer the questions that traffic totals can't: why is a competitor growing, where is their demand coming from, and which pages are doing the work. Ask a business question in plain language. Manus pulls the right Similarweb data and turns it into briefs, reports, decks, or charts. Available now for all Manus Pro users. No Similarweb account needed. Similarweb customers can also connect their own API key via MCP. Link in comments for prompts to get started.

Today, we are deepening our collaboration with Similarweb to bring richer web intelligence directly into Manus. With integrated Similarweb data, Manus users can move beyond surface-level traffic numbers and understand what is actually driving digital growth — from keywords and referrals to landing pages and high-performing content. Teams can now use Manus to: • Investigate search demand • Analyze traffic sources and referrals • Identify top-performing pages • Understand branded vs. unbranded growth • Turn findings into briefs, dashboards, reports, and executive-ready analysis Manus Pro users can now prompt Manus to use integrated Similarweb data directly inside their workflows

A few weeks ago, I got to talk to Aline Bernardi and Diogo dos Reis Ruiz, two parents in Brazil who built an app to teach their autistic son how to make friends. Neither of them is a developer. They built this out of a real need to help their kid, and because they had tools like Manus, they were able to make it a reality. Their son Augusto had made incredible progress through therapy, but still struggled with making friends. One day they gave him Duolingo on a family trip and watched him light up. The game structure clicked immediately. And they thought: technology figured out how to teach language. Why isn't there anything like this for social skills? They built a prototype in PowerPoint. A few weeks later, they went back to the park. Augusto spotted a kid with a toy, walked over calmly, started a conversation, and asked to borrow it. Diogo told me: "He was very happy. But we were way happier." That PowerPoint became Mirimim, and in less than a year it reached 17,000 kids across Brazil. The core app will always be free because for many families, it's the only resource they have. They're now expanding globally through a California-based autism accelerator, using Manus AI to handle everything from therapist outreach to building their product dashboard. Being able to hear stories like this, you really see the impact of what we're building every day. Manus has made a lot of things possible for people who otherwise wouldn't have had the resources to build what they needed. And in this case, it's helping children all over Brazil, and soon, other countries. "Helping even one family makes it worthwhile," Diogo said. "But we are building a scalable, data-driven layer for autism care. We want to change the system."
