Tea @ Teapot Tuesday

The Teapot Tuesday this week at Spliccoast is about Tea!  What would you eat with tea?

This image is by Embossing Arts, and the sentiments Paper Studio.  The inside sentiment says, "  I don't have a problem with caffeine, I have a problem without caffeine!"
I stamped the image and colored with Copics. I die cut it and added a strip of trim. On the inside, I added a punched boarder strip. A few sequins and I called it done.
I am not one to eat in the morning, frequently I do not eat until lunch (or after).  So, Strawberries for me with my tea : )  I like to mix my strawberries with blueberries: )

Fall colors

Some of the leaves are beginning to turn colors here- the tips of the leaves....  I love the fall colors, but what comes next- COLD!!!  LOL  I saw on Splitcoast a challenge to use a large stamp and fall colors.

This stamp is by Unity- it is called Abundant Blessings and is a Sentiment kit.  Colored mostly with Copics.

This is the same card before splatters:

What a difference they make, don;t you think???

And- sunglasses please!!!  This is my first Fall colors card:
This is in my stamp stash- which I am deeply sorting.  I colored it using Zig waterbrush markers in fall colors.  I tried to soften the color by highlighting the back embossing with ink, but no such luck.  I am going to keep the stamp : )  Embossing Arts images have been sold to I Brake for Stamps. I have many of them!

Challenges:
QKR Stampede- AG
Cute Card Tuesday- Autumn
Pinspirational- Inspiration photo- Fall and cozy
Stamping Sensations- Flowers- all month/September

DTGD day 4 stamping

I made a couple more cards today for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges at Splitcoaststampers. The challenges are open for all to join in, but you have to be a Fan Club member to win any prizes.

A few months ago, I posted a tutorial on how to make these cards.  I thought I'd give this one to my piano teacher : )  There is a plain panel on the bottom of the card to write a note on.

Images all SU- retired a long time ago!!!

This card is called a magic card.  The DSP is SU, the image is Embossing Arts and the sentiment is by Lockhart.

For this cute card, I used a digital image called Birthday Penguin Cupcake by Bugaboo.

A whimsical birthday card for a special little one! The image is outlined by a Gina Marie die. I added Sakura Stardust Gelly roll pen on the stripes of the hat and the balloons. The DP is Echo Park from Tuesday Mornings : )
For my Great Nephew for his 5th Birthday- I am linking this to The Male Room challenge- Birthdays

I saw this challenge at CAS Mix it Up- Use a Napkin/Paper Towel
and thought this card would fit into a challenge for DTGD. On the napkin panel, you see stenciling via a stencil. I also used dry embossing and added glimer using the drops. I am also entering Moo-Mania- butterflies.  The butterflies are also from a recycled napkin : )  Very shimmery IRL!
The panel is from a used paper towel I saved, and I added Copper SU cardstock- probably retired a few years now......  The flowers and copper leaves are Sweet Stamps dies, and the butterflies are Memory Box dies.  The bling is using Tattered Lace glimmer paint.

CYS-March Bunnies

March - Barbara - bejoyce--Keyword CYSMAR
~~use a bunny or rabbit, and it does not have to be an Easter card. If you don't have one, use any animal on your card

The image of the bunny on the swing is by Uptown Rubber Stamps, the row of bunnies on the bottom is by Stampin Up,  the Easter eggs in the grass are by Embossing Arts, the sentiment is by Bugaboo Digital Stamps,

I colored using Copic markers.  The tree trunk and leaves were freehand cut.  For the tree, I colored using Copics for texture and the trunk is embossed using a Tim Holtz Sissix EF . The Grass is cut using a Cheery Lynn die. The sky is sponged using SU Soft Sky and I used a SU scalloped oval punch for my template. All cardstock is Stampin Up.

I bought these stamps about 10 years ago, and it's the first time they have seen ink!  Fun story- when I was a young nurse, I worked the 3-11:30 shift.  After work, we would go to a nearby park and swing!  It was so nice to spend time together but swinging is so calming!  And, at midnight, we did not have little kids that wanted the swings.

Challenges:
The sketch at The Outlaws gave me the idea for the layout.

Little Red Wagon- Use something that hops
Simon Says Wednesday- AG
Words 2 Craft By- Happiness
Animal Friends- Rabbits

August 2018 ~ Hostess: Dawn
Scripture: Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

I combined the COF challenge and also played along with a DTGD challenge too.  Wahoo.  This sweet stamp is from Embossing Arts and I love it!

COF April Hearts

For the April Crafters of Faith challenge, aka COF, our hostess Tracie challenged us to use a heart on our cards.  Here is the Scripture she asked us to ponder:
Scripture: "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your Heart" Psalms 37:4

One of my favorite scriptures : )  This stamp was one of my earlier purchases- it is from Embossing Arts, and the heart from Michael Strong.
The DP is by Prima. And, you gotta love how the ribbon matches the DP : )

Pop-Up ATC's

My Monthly ATC group made Pop-Up ATC's this month.....It was so fun to see all of the variations of the theme.  Warning- LOTS of photo's..... : )

Here are the Pop-Up ATC's I made:
The hearts were stamped in Versamark, then Pan Pastels were added. The images are Embossing Arts- which are available at I Brake for Stamps.
The inside colors are Gelato's, the cardstock was white to start off with. I did a little Cuttlebug Highlight with Pan Pastels on the inside too. The heart is cut with an exacto knife.

Next, I made a Birthday ATC:
I stamped and colored the cake- which is from a $1.00 bin somewhere....and the sentiment is from Sweet Stamps (clear B-day set). The background is called Starburst and is a Technique Junkies technique.
This background is made with Gelato's. I cut slits in the cardstock and added the DP for the gifts and added shimmery Washi and added a bow.

This is my 1-4-1 swap card. The image and frame are from Sweet Stamps. I used Distress markers to color the image and added Distress Stickles.
I cut this with an exacto knife, so the fan pops up when you open the card. The pattern was on the internet.....

Here are the trades I rec'd:
On the Lt is Mary's ATC closed- love the cool brown paper she used  and on the Rt- Deb M
 and on the inside:

Mary's pop-up is on the Lt- and the heart is attached to the door sides and the heart pops up when you open the doors. Deb's ATc open on the Rt.

On the Lt Marcie and on the Rt- Diane M

On the Lt is Marcy's open ATC and on the Rt- Diane's open ATC.

 Harriet's ATC closed
And, open.  Harriet cut a circle and cut around in circles, attached it to her heart, and it pops up like a spring.
On the Lt- Carol and on the Lt is Mari
On the Lt- Carol created a little city scene, and on the Rt Mari's open ATC.
This is Joanne's Pop-out card.
And, finally, Linda made a darling Valentine Pop-up
The Gold heart is at the end of a popsicle stick (or you could use a coffee stirrer).
Here is Linda's open- when you pull up on the heart.
What a fun swap and a great day of inspiration- lots of great pop-up ideas!

RSC January Happy Birthday!

I am in a group on Rubberstamp Chat that sends Birthday ATC's to each other- cards are optional. I opted to send a card too:
I challenged myself to color the images in regular (SU) markers- no Copics this time....  Image is 1990's Embossing Arts- one of my first stamps and well loved in the day....... : )  I used Coordinations cardstock that was then sanded.......  The other self challenge was to use a tag on my card.  I added glimmer with Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pen.

The ATC is on a TJ technique from a really long time ago- a UFO......  I stamped the image on the background in Stazon, then on white cardstock, and cut out the larger portions of the image. The sentiment is from a $1.00 clear stamp. I added lots of rhinestones and shimmer.I used just a portion of the sentiment from the $1.00 set. I have tons of the $1.00 sets that I never use..... Do you collect them too???

Challenges:

Alphabet Challenge- Y is for Yummy -ATC
Bloggers Challenge- Birthday
Oldie But A Goodie- Glitz and Glam- Stardust gelli pen and rhinestones; images some of the first I purchased way back when.......

I stamped the mice in Black Tuxedo Memento Ink, and colored the image in with markers.
I am going to post my marker colors here- just for my future reference:
RV29, RV32, C0,C2, C3, B02, E0000, E00, E02. YG17, YG06 and Sakura Gelly Roll Pen for the glittery effect.

Sweet Dreamers Challenge #5 Get your Motor Running: For National Sewing Month

I spent most of the day working on new shelving for my stamps down in my sewing room....sadly (for my family) my stamping supplies have overtaken my kitchen pantry..... So, I did not get to stamp. I wanted to post my Sweet dreamers challenge that is due today before I head out to a friends for the evening.

Well, a sewing machine does have a motor....and I thought since it is national Sewing Month it would be an appropriate theme for this card.

I made this with the Salt and Pepper technique from a Technique Junkies newsletter from June 2004. I crazy quilted and sewed the pieces with Sulky thread and different stitches on my sewing machine. I used all SU papers and a sewing machine from Embossing Arts, sentiment from a retired SU set from circa 1998.............
Colored with SU markers and Copics. The trim is Ric Rac in blue and pink intertwined.

I also set up a faux Infinity Board described on Keri Serika's blog- Thanks to Pamela from Firecracker Designs by Pamela for posting this link on her blog , and set up my Ott light for taking the picture. Since i am new to blogging, I am always looking for tips!
