Multiplication Champ

Jake participated in the third grade Multiplication Bee today and won third place in third grade! He got beat out by a couple of girls and only because they could yell out the answers faster but Jacob always got the hard answers right! He was really nervous and was excited to finish in the top 3. He won a cool medal and then he got to get ice cream after school! What a great way to end third grade!!!!

U2

SO the MOST AMAZING band in the entire history of the world took the stage Tuesday night at Rice Eccles Stadium. I have adored U2 for as long as I can remember. I was so excited to hear they were coming last year but with everything going on with Mitch leaving on his mission I knew I couldn't swing getting tickets. So awesome Mitch went and bought 2 tickets to the concert and said it would be our last hoorah before he left. Little did we know then that Bono would hurt his back and the concert would be postponed for almost a year and we wouldn't be able to go together. So Tuesday night I grabbed my favorite sister (O.K my only sister but she is my favorite!) and we headed in for an AMAZING night! The Concert was the best one I have ever been to, if you look up the word cool in the dictionary I am pretty sure there is a picture of U2!
It was super fun and now we plan on going again if they ever come back. Next time Mitch gets to come with!!!

Seminary Graduation

Sunday night was Maddi's Seminary Graduation. It was so weird to look around the room at her and all of the kids her age and grasp that they are old enough to be Seniors!!!! When did this happen!!!
Now I guess in a couple of weeks she really will be graduating from high school too! YIKES!!!
It happened so fast, just yesterday I was putting her hair up in curlers and bows and watching her play with Barbies (O.K she still does that.....kidding, she still has them just doesn't play with them) and now she is finished with high school.
I don't feel old enough to have two kids out of high school!
Any way, so proud of Maddi for finishing up and graduating from Seminary. She loved her Woods Cross Seminary teachers and had a fantastic time and learned a lot.

Vegas Baby!!!

I had the most amazing opportunity to get away for a couple of days and head to Vegas with my best friends from high school, before high school really. We have been buddies since we were little girls. This is the most time we have spent together since we graduated. We swam, worked out, ate, laughed till we cried, got in trouble for taking pictures in the spa and walked the strip until the wee hours of the morning looking for iced hot chocolate. I even got to get my picture with Michael Jackson!!! It was amazing to see how little we have changed and how fun it was to be together again. These girls had such a HUGE influence on me growing up, I am so lucky to have them in my life! Can't wait until next year!
