came down to Petersen Museum to drop off these two for the exhibition called "Custom Revolution" curated by Paul d'Orleans.

ピーターセン乗り物博物館にてPaul d'Orleans氏によるCustom Revolutionというエキシビションに25台のカスタムバイクが展示されるそうで、その中にニードルとエクセルシアも選んでくださったので、いそいそと搬入にやって来た。

and of course, we checked all over the museum ☺

なぜいそいそしているのかと言うと、新しくなった博物館をくまなく散策したいから。

spent pretty happy time here and very honor to be able to display Shinya's motorbikes here along with other masterpieces.

博物館でステキな形のものを鑑賞して過ごすひと時というのはまったくもってしあわせである。そして他の素晴らしいカスタムバイクと共に自分の作ったものがここに飾ってもらえてとても嬉しい、と木村氏。

素人が手を出したら必ず痛い目にあう、あのトライアンフのスプラング・ハブに手を出す木村氏。もちろんビワ号のためにリビルトしてくれるのだけど。

he said he had done this before...a long time ago...and so he knows how difficult it is without using that special tool. it's really a dangerous and risky business.

遠い昔に一度やったことがあるから、きっと大丈夫と言いながら。やったことがある方もしくはやろうとしたことがある方ならお分かりかもしれません。これ、ほんとキケン。良い子は絶対に真似しちゃいけません、ちゃんとこれ用の工具持っていない限り。

shinya made the old fuel tank cap to be able to open with the brand new SR400 key.

新品SR400のキーで古い燃料タンクのキャップを開けられるように改造。

it's now up-to-date...

she has been settled in at our workshop for a while now but still acts like a stray cat　😹

最近チャボに住みついているくせにちっともコソ泥感が抜けないネズミ色の猫。

this one is another stray cat who's very timid and only makes an appearance late at night. she comes in to our workshop nightly and eats a lot.

こっちはほうれい線くっきりブチャ顔のとても臆病な野良。必ず夜遅くにそーーっとチャボに顔を出して、びっくりするくらいご飯をがっつり食べてどこかに帰っていく。

it finally happened! i caught up on blog posting at last. i told shinya about it and he said he would work on my Triumph a bit in reward even though it was already past midnight 😻

いやぁ、ついに遅れに遅れていたブログが追いついちゃった。やっと年を越せた感じ。そのことを木村氏に伝えたら、ご褒美にビワ号を少しやってあげるよって。もう夜中の12時過ぎていたのにありがたや。それにしてもほんとに少しだった💢 あー自分内達成感はんぱない。

found the original style handlebar for the Le Mans III and installed it.

ル・マンIIIに付いていたハンドルが気に入らなかったらしく、見つけたオリジナル風のを装着。

shinya may use this front fork for the SR 40th anniversary project. maybe.

勝手にSR40周年記念プロジェクトにこのフロント・フォークを使おうかどうしようか。

 at any rate, he's going to overhaul it.

どちらにせよ、まずはオーバーホールしなくちゃ。
