Drum roll please...

It's true, baby #3 is on it's way!

The kids are super excited! When I asked Maddie if
she wanted a girl baby or a boy baby she said both.
I told her there is only one baby so she said
she wanted it to be a girl and she wanted us to
name her Rapunzel. (Since she loves the name so much
we have decided to let her name her own daughter that
someday:)
Ian said he wanted a boy, but I don't think he has a clue
what is going on. He LOVES babies though. Whenever he sees a
baby he says, "Ahh, cute baby!"


To answer some questions I am sure we will
be asked...

How far along am I? 12 weeks

What are we calling this baby? For those of you who don't
know, Clay likes to name our children while in Utero. We
refer to the baby by that name until it is born.
(Madison was Cletus the Fetus, then Emelio the Embryo,
Ian was Ziggy the Zygote, and now we introduce
Otey the Ovum.)

The ultrasound didn't turn out great, but I saw the heartbeat and
he/she was wiggling around! Clay thinks
Otey looks like a teddy bear:)

Do we have real names, too? Oh, don't fear, we
wont call him Otey forever! If it's a girl we like Mallory, Mckenzie,
Alexis, Olivia, and Shelby. If it's a boy we will give him Clay and
his father's initials which are C.D.S. So some C first names
that we like are Chase, Collin, Caiden or Cayden, Cade, and Cale. (I am sure this
list will continue to be added to and taken away, but at present
those are our favorites).

How have I been feeling? I think this is the most sick I have been with any of the pregnancies.
I mean, I haven't gone to the hospital like I did with Maddie, but I have
felt nauseous pretty much all day, everyday for the last 6 weeks. I have
also been throwing up a good amount. The heartburn started
at 8 weeks and to add to the exhaustion my insomnia is back. (Ok,
I am done complaining:) It will all be worth it in the end!

Do we want a boy or girl? Since we are pretty confident
this will be our last, we are kind of split. There are reasons
we want another girl and reasons we want another
boy. (if you need a more specific answer, you can ask, I'll
spare everyone else the details:)

I guess the really big question is...
What color hair will this child have?

Camping

Over Labor day weekend we went camping with
a group of friends. I was pretty nervous since
my insomnia is back, but I slept pretty well and the kids
did too. The weather was great and the food was delish!
There was 12 adults and 11 kids and 2 babies, so it was one big party.

First day of Preschool

Madison missed the cut off for Kindergarten
by 2 weeks, so she is doing another year of preschool.
I am really glad, though. Kindergarten is all day
here and I don't think I am ready for that:)

She goes Monday-Thursday from 9-12.
It is at a church a couple of minutes from our
house, so it great!

I love that her backpack is almost
as big as she is:)

Ian wanted to be in a picture, too. He is enjoying a little one on one time
with mommy and playing with Maddie's toys
while she is gone:) He did sit on the stairs
and cry for a few minutes, "Sissy, sissy." after
dropping her off one day, so he does miss her, too.

Teeth cleaning with Grammy

Grammy just retired from her career
as a dental hygienist. She was kind enough to
squeeze in a cleaning for all of us before her last day.
(Sad for us, we're going to have to find a
Denist now (it's been 7 years since I have been
to one) and Madison felt very comfortable
having Grammy clean her teeth, but we'll see
how it goes when someone else tries:)
