This session featured Her Excellency Atifete Jahjaga 🇽🇰👩🏼‍💼, Former President of the Republic of Kosovo, whose historic election as the 1️⃣st woman & youngest head of state in Kosovo at her age of 35 stands as a landmark moment for women’s leadership & democratic transformation. Her Excellency’s presidency was distinguished by an unwavering commitment to building democratic institutions, strengthening the rule of law, advancing human rights & fostering reconciliation in a society emerging from conflict. Beyond her tenure in office, she has continued to play an influential role on the global stage, championing women’s empowerment, peace building, interfaith dialogue & inclusive development as cornerstones of a more just & stable world 🌎

Her Excellency 🇽🇰👩🏼‍💼 has shared that this was her 2️⃣and visit to Malaysia (1️⃣St visit was 🔟 years ago) & then expressed her sincere gratitude 🙏🏻💖 to Malaysia 🇲🇾 for being 1️⃣ of the countries that recognized Kosovo’s independence since 2008 & the continuous supports until today

It demonstrated how selfless as a leader to ensure those who have suffered most are never left behind. “Additionally, our hospital is committed to ensuring that we have the highest standards of quality & safety. In fact, the Oncology & Nuclear Medicine facility will be undergoing accreditation by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards later this month so that we can benchmark ourselves internationally,” Ms Wan Nadiah 👩🏾‍💼 further elaborated

The facility has performed over 1,200 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with oncology patients in areas such as cervix, breast, lung 🫁 , rectum, head, neck & brain 🧠 . Among these, the radiotherapy team has treated breast cancer patients using the Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) technique, & brain cancer with radiotherapy & craniospinal irradiation (CSI). The facility has also been receiving patients from across Malaysia 🇲🇾 & Southeast Asia region 🌏 to indicating a need for such services amongst patients from neighbouring countries

THKD is constantly innovating to provide the latest diagnostic & therapeutic services for their patients. Nuclear Medicine therapies such as Yittrium-90, Lutetium-177, Ac-225 & high dose I-131 Therapy are in the pipeline, while radiotherapy & radiosurgery services will be further sub-specialised into gynaecology, haematology & paediatric treatments. THKD also envisions collaborating with other healthcare institutions in Malaysia 🇲🇾 & other countries in making cancer therapies accessible to them

Adding on, Dr. Zool Hilmi Bin Awang, Consultant Nuclear Medicine Physician & Head of Nuclear Medicine, assured that, “The effective diagnostic tools provide computed tomography for anatomic correlation, which is a needed improvement for cancer care in identifying areas of hypermetabolism illustrated in PET. It involves an injection of a safe radioactive tracer that helps detect diseased cells, as recommended by a specialist. Meanwhile, we can treat cancers like neuroendocrine tumours, prostate cancer, & thyroid cancer which means, we treat what we see & we see what we treat.”

Yes ✅, in conjunction with International Women’s Day celebrations in the month of March, ShopeeFood 🧡 just hosted a special event today as a show of appreciation 🙏🏻 for women driver partners in Klang Valley. The event was supported by several leading brands ie. NIVEA, Marrybrown, Chatime & L’Oréal Malaysia. Almost 60 female riders, accompanied by their friends, participated in the event to celebrate the day

SiennyLovesDrawing has spoken to some of the female riders during the celebration 👩🏻🗣️👥🎊🎉, many of them shared with her that they are so happy with their career opportunity with ShopeeFood🧡 , not just that they earn a living to buy things they like, also able to support their kids studies, family expenses etc.

In addition to the collaboration with leading brand partners, ShopeeFood 🧡 also provided a personal development program led by an expert in the field of humanities & social studies: Associate Professor Dr Hadija Mohd, who has developed the Personal Initiative Intelligence (PI-Q) framework which aims to build essential soft-skills to help driver partners improve their job performance. The unique approach focuses on developing the inner qualities of an individual, eg. resilience, self-awareness & empathy 💪🏻💯

At the end of the program, 3️⃣ selected driver partners were recognised for their participation & given an opportunity to continue their education with a scholarship in a recognised higher education program. ShopeeFood 🧡 selected the City Continued Education Centre to partner for the scholarship that’s valued at more than RM60K 👍🏻

According to Ms Kwa Yin Leng 👩🏻‍💼, Head of Operations for ShopeeFood Malaysia 🧡, the celebration 🎉🎊 is an important milestone in recognising women’s contribution to the food delivery industry

We are happy 😁 to be partnering with various brands & showcase our efforts in a meaningful way. In addition to the personal development class, the driver partners were also treated to a self-care 🥰 workshop hosted by NIVEA. The experts from NIVEA helped the riders learn healthy skincare & good hygiene habits as riders are often exposed to changing weather conditions while doing their work. At the end of the session, the female driver partners were also given NIVEA products to kickstart their regime

Datuk Shalin Zulkifli 💁🏽‍♀️is a professional bowler 🎳 & athlete who has represented Malaysia 🇲🇾 for 28 years in numerous international competitions. She currently holds 5️⃣ world championship titles 🏆 & is a fierce advocate for gender equality
Nandini Balakrishnan 👩🏽‍🦱 is a known influencer & video producer with a popular media company. She has written extensively on issues related to the discrimination ✍🏻 & her work has been featured in major publications around the world 🌎 In 2021, Nandini was also awarded 🎖️the Women of the Future Awards Southeast Asia in the ‘Arts & Culture’ category. This award recognises achievements of female trailblazers across industries 👏🏻🙌🏻
Natasha Helwa Binti Ramlee 🧕🏼 is a young female entrepreneur & a ShopeeFood merchant. She is the eldest of 3️⃣ siblings that founded the popular restaurant franchise of ‘Tiga Budak Gemok’. While the restaurant may have had humble beginnings of starting off under a tree 🌳, the business today has rapidly grown and expanded to cover more than 6️⃣ states in Malaysia 🇲🇾
