Yes โ , Malaysia ๐ฒ๐พ is hosted this ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council (AYEC) as it celebrates ๐ฅณ๐๐ its ๐th anniversary & marks a decade of impact in youth entrepreneurship across the ASEAN region
This amazing carnival is well organised by MAYA, AYEC & Majlis Belia Malaysia(MBM). Then, greatly supported by ASEAN Secretariat & ASEAN-BAC & Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI)
2025 carnival’s theme ~ โจ “Connecting ๐ค๐ป ASEAN, Creating Global Change” โจ
AYEC is led by Ms Deborah Melissa Bottreau๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐ผ , AYECโs founding Secretary General & President of the Malaysian Young Entrepreneurs Association (MAYA), this year 2025 will center on the theme, โA Decade of Impact: Empowering the Future of ASEANโs Young Entrepreneurs.โ This milestone features the ๐th ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Carnival ie. A landmark event in Malaysia ๐ฒ๐พ to showcasing the achievements & future ambitions of ASEANโs young business leaders. Together, AYEC & MAYA drives initiatives in training, mentorship & regional partnerships to strengthen the entrepreneurial landscape for the next generation ๐ฏ๐๐ป
So, as planned as a landmark celebration ๐ฅณ๐๐, this Carnival showcased the AYECโs achievements, foster collaboration ๐ค๐ป among ASEANโs young leaders & laid the groundwork for future partnerships. Entrepreneurs from across the ASEAN region all gathered at MATRADE Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia ๐ฒ๐พ for 2๏ธโฃ-day filled with impactful dialogues, exhibitions & networking opportunities
Ms Deborah has extended a heartfeltย ๐ค๐๐ฏ to welcome all over 300 delegates a promising that “Malaysia is ready to welcome you with open arms. This ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Carnival 2025 is a flagship event held every year following the ASEAN Chairmanship country. The 1๏ธโฃst AYE Carnival was held at MATRADE, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia ๐ฒ๐พ in 2016 (NOW again in 2025 ๐๐ป๐ฏ). It was then officiated as an official ASEAN event in the calendar during the 2๏ธโฃnd AYE Carnival by President Duterte which was held in 2017 at Manila, Philippines ๐ต๐ญ
This Carnival garners participation from all ๐ ASEAN member states (AMS) plus from many other ASEAN plus countries such as Australia ๐ฆ๐บ, China ๐จ๐ณ, India ๐ฎ๐ณ, Japan ๐ฏ๐ต, Europe & more
In fact, it’s the 1๏ธโฃst-of-its-kind with a forum, exposition, awards & more. Some of the key thrusts are elements related to digitalisation, automation, start-up, enhancement of intra-ASEAN trade, alternative access to finance, sharing of best practices & many more. With the theme changing each year to be present to the times since 2016 ๐๐
