A Sinapi is a “pod-bearing, shrub-like plant, growing wild, and also cultivated in gardens.” Its common name is the mustard seed used in the New Testament to describe the Kingdom of God, which like this seed though very small grows to be a surprisingly large tree-like plant.
Similarly, Sinapi hopes to give individuals and communities the opportunity to grow small seeds of ideas into strong and sustainable communities. In turn these communities will spread and support many others. Likewise, donors and volunteers can contribute their seeds and deeds and see them grow and multiply.
