As the devout in the Arab world prepare top bid adieu to the Holy month of Ramadan by Thursday, they will once again gather in their hundreds of thousands to offer Eid prayers at the historic Grand Mosque in Bahrain’s Juffair neighbourhod. This picture, taken from a helicopter in 2009, is one of the best-ever mosque shots I have captured and kindled in me an interest in Arab, and particularly, Bahraini architecture that is so evident in almost any mosque built anywhere in the region.
