The last sunset

DSC_0735
As the sun sets on 2015, it’s curtains on a year one will be glad to see the last off. Notwithstanding the colossal tragedies the world at large, and the Middle East region in particular, was challenged with, and faced, during the last 365 days, the year passed off rather quickly.
As we walk off into the Leap Year, we pray it brings more stability, more comforts and, more than anything else, peace and tranquility. A challenging task, no doubt, but we have existed on hope all this while. And there’s no harm in, once again, looking up to the future positively!

Camera Talk

The winters are here – well, it’s actually quite cold in the evenings – and it’s the right time to step out with the camera. The festive season is on, celebrations are in the air and streets are well lighted and decorated.
One can spend hours on the job, going from one place to the other – but I find nothing more satisfying than to park myself on a flyover and watch Bahrain go by. This picture was taken from the Bahrain Bay over-bridge on a particularly cold December evening.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year to all.
I have shared this picture once earlier but it’s too good not to share again!
Hope we have a blessed 2016.

Pier Imperfect

The Busaiteen coast in Bahrain, once a thriving collection of rustic chalets, is now being ‘cleansed’ to make way for a luxury waterfront development. The wood and stone structures, as well as the piers leading up to them, are fast disappearing and the ocean eating into what’s left of them. Presents quite a desolate sight all of a sudden!
