That wonderful feeling

This view of the Bahrain skyline from the vast expanse of the Busaiteen coast makes one feel ‘small’ in comparison with nature. Almost all of this island nation’s skyscrapers are captured in one frame, with the winter even clouds, and the setting sun, for company.
Behind me is the ocean, an equally awesome part of the Arabian Sea, that stretches for miles around this archipelagoe.

Sunset – my favourite colour

It was almost dark when these pictures were taken, with an iPhone, on Bahrain’s Tubli coast. Once again, it’s been proven beyond doubt that sunsets in this tiny island nation are special – especially if it’s winter!
The images show the water, boats, palm trees, buildings and cars – pretty much what life in Bahrain is all about – and they also show the beautiful and vibrant colours that typically accompany the setting sun!

Down, but not out!

This is my first post this year. It took a long time coming – all of 25 days – but, hopefully, is prelude to more writings and pictures in the coming months.
The sun set on 2016 nearly a month ago and it’s been a roller-coaster ride since then. Wasn’t an entirely bright start to the New Year but, now that things seem to be settling down, have no complaints!
Too many things have happened – some planned, some not quite so – but at the end of the day that’s what life’s all about.
I begin the year with a picture of the famed Bahraini sunset to show one chapter might’ve ended but there’s a new day and a new year – new plans to look forward to – that are taking shape, slowly but surely.
As they say, of the sun doesn’t set, how will it rise again!
That’s the way it is!
