Just wanted to play with some new pieces from RunoRuno (thanks jojo <3). Baggy pants of such style seem to be a rare find in SL, especially one with such awesomely sculpted prims, cute drappy “pockets” and a spot-on shade of khaki. Jojo has indeed outdone herself again. Love the uniqueness of things in her store. I’m also loving how the shirt from Doppelganger Inc.’s Faded Tunic peeks out from the dress, which is again from RunoRuno. The look is fairly simple, but hope you guys like it nonetheless. Hugs and Love to those celebrating Valentine’s Day and Gong Xi Fa Cai to those celebrating Chinese New Year. 7 more minutes!

Held from the 26th September to 10th October, the Skin/Shape Expo Fair has been on the tip of our tongues this past weekend. Here’s some of my favourites from the fair…
Often, I feel that the act of wearing different skins will help us look a certain age of our liking. You can’t age backwards in RL unless you are Benjamin Buttons (forgive my lameness) , only forward. But SL, you can do it both ways teeehee. Pink Fuel’s new release, skye would be one which allow you to remain in the 20s. One thing I love about pink fuel skins would be that irresistable lips. Its glossy and gives a slight pout without straying too much into the sexy side. On the sidenote, I love the fact that Mochi, Tuli and some other designers send their demos through their subscribo, especially for these type of events where the items are only avaliable in a lag-filled sim at that moment. Save us the trouble of going to the fair just for demos but rather, I feel that it lets the consumer make a more fulfilling trip when they hit the fair. I really appreciate this little acts of designers in “improving the shopping experience”. ;) The skye line comes in many “bold” makeups, with bright eyeshadows that really stand out. Secondly, I wish every skin makers would provide brows option to complement the different hair shades. and I’m glad that both Mochi and Tuli (featured below) does so.

Tuli’s Bella is another skin which has been much praised about at the fair. It features a much more mature face from her last line Hope. Freckles seem to be the new “in” thing to include in skins. I’m not a huge fan of freckles but the ones that are well done, like these on Bella, definitely have a soft spot in my heart. If you look closely, there’s a little mole above the left side of the lips. XD There are only 4 makeups released at the moment and I’m looking forward to what other makeups Tuli has to offer this time round. *crosses fingers for some cute interesting ones hee*

Gala Phoenix Skins will always have a place in my heart, even though I haven worn it for some time. The old faces, lovely, breeze and vixen, have been updated with the new softer shading torso and new makeups. whee! ANEXX new boots are officially my favourite boots ever. the leather texture, the little details… there has been so much thought placed in the construction of this product. Its gonna be on my feets for some time im sure :)

Anxious For Fri.day

Fri.day has been creating lots of buzz around the grid this few months. A “mysterious” group of designers, terrific teasers and a smart marketing strategy that leave us yearing for more.. Well the wait will soon be over as fri.day will be officially open on friday. XD Below, I’m wearing some of the pieces that are part of their collection. The collection is basic and aims to “provide a good selection of basic separates that work well together and are also versatile enough that anyone can mix.match our items with their existing wardrobe”. Well, I tested the theory myself and here’s the result. The inner shirt which is actually a cardi, tee and crisp pants are from fri.day. This is just one look I’ve created and there are a million other possiblities to mix and match their items. One thing I noticed was that Fri.day offers the bottom part of tees and jacket in the jacket layer alone. Its unusual for people to do that and I applaud them for their effort. This definitely brings in more posibilities during mix and matching. Fri.day also offer a selection of hair and shoes but that’s for tmr. ^^ The other buzz around the grid would be from the upcoming brand Anexx, by the infamous machang Pichot (thankies! <3) Fans of her existing line at Aoharu would definitely not be disappointed by these beauties. *well i stared at them in awe for quite some time* The shoes all come with prim feets when necessary and the hud that comes with them have been modified extensively, making them more user friendly. They come with the usual hud and a skintone ball which allows you to select the skintone colour manually like the kookie ones so yay for easy matching! Well I managed to find my skintone in one of those defaults avaliable so doube whoopee? ^^ Anyways watch the respective shops’ blog for more details and slurls. Hope you enjoy them! <3

I have a confesssion to make. This post has been sitting open in wordpress for like 5 hours before I’m properly writing it now. Gah I’m so easily distracted U_U.
Anyways, the adorable Manatee McMillian opened her new store narwhal yesterday. Whee! Narwhal is littered with happy cheerful clothing! Seriously, I feel happy and high shopping there. Well maybe the ambience from the beautifully decorated shop helped too. Below are 2 outfits using items from Narwhal’s collection. The 1st oufit is a really colourful and cute tuff tuff skirt. I paired it with a green puffy sleeve blouse from Bolero collection, a recent find thanks to the IM from Amanda Bolero. Her store, its another “why haven I found this store” moment all over again. So arigatou amanda! Bolero Collection offer a myraid of items ranging from gowns to classy seperates to wild rock chick outfits, so do check it out! I was looking for socks the other day when I found this tights part of an outfit on sale at Kuri Style (the socks branch). It is only 5 or 10L for an entire outfit! As for the second outfit, it is a casual look, styled around the denim skirt which is part of Narwhal’s new releases. Boom recently released some great basic unisex t-shirts. They come in various styles including a sheer version which is shown below. There are lots of magic involved in the usage of this tee including creating your personal teeshirt colour by layering the various shirts. You gotta teepee to the store for more information ^^ The long red shirt is a recent group gift from cupcakes, a group which I have not regretted joining since day 1.I guess i better press publish now.
