Bones and Boots

Remember those cowboy boots from ELAN i blogged awhile back. Well, I rediscovered their store again yesterday. It has greatly expanded since the last time I’ve been there. The boots below are part of the “free boots folder” I obtained from the store and zomg I love it. The flare at the top is just right, nicely highlighting and complimenting the legs instead of making them look like sticks. XD There is also a hot pair of high heel boots avaliable at the store. I’ll show them to you in a later post ^^ My friend Sue opened her first shop yesterday here and most of her clothing are avaliable at affordable prices. I decided to use a bow from one of her dresses as a brooch here. I dropped by Kari today and saw these cute clothes peg bangle. ZOMG you can resist laundry but clothes peg bangles are adorables and unresistable! Plus, they come in a multicolour version and another version where the texture of the clothes pegs are scripted to change. Havean awesome wednesday! xoxo

Moddipoo~ absolutely completed my night yesterday with this awesome dress fresh out of her brain, I mean ermm “workshop”. I love every aspect of the dress, especially the frills at the bottom! The wonderful Tuli also released her clothing line and I’m blown away by each and every piece. I added the wide sleeve shirt in tangerine in this outfit to give a touch of country to the outfit. Aren’t those sleeves just fabulous too? Add the cute ribbon hair from Tiny Bird, those adorable, flower decorated pumps from miel and a messenger bag from HOC, I guess I’m ready for tea! <3

Just Hope

Tuli Hope was released sometime last week but I havn’t had the time to review them till now.. so apologies for the delay. I fell in love with the skin when i first recieved it during blogger’s appreciation week as mentioned in my past entry. Thank you Tuli for the chance to review them ^^
Overall, Tuli’s Hope comes in 5 skintones, mainly pale, fair, sunkissed, tan and dark tan. The 1st thing I noticed when I put on hope is that it has such a younger and more innocent look as compared to tuli’s other skinlines on my shape. Its most likely due to the slighty more glossy face as compared to faith, her previous skin line. Also, the lips is slightly thinner on hope as compared to faith. The eyebrows comes in the usual 4 shades (black, brown, light and red) to suit all the hair colours you would ever wear including purple(?) XD. Generally, they are rather thin and fine, which is awesome and fitting for this younger and adorable face.
On to the makeup, well my favourite part. Hope comes with 10 makeup, including a natural makeup (which you could get if you join the update group, totally worth to stay in and to pay for XD) The next 2 pictures shows some of the makeup avaliable in the differnt skintones. Note, the 9th makeup is shown in the body shot right below and the 10th, the natural makeup is not shown here.)

As seen above, the makeups are generally natural, nothing over the top. There is also a huge range of makeup offered ranging from the neutral and plainer ones like gig to the glam ones like sultry and gala. My favourites would probably be gig (as it is such a beautiful neutral makeup and gives me the most innocent look out of all the makeups XD), tequilla and summer (its 2 of the 3 makeups avaliable with double colour eyeshadow. YES double colour eyeshadows, everyone should do it! I lurve them so much!). On to the body, the skins have a slight “glow” on it, not too soft, not too hard. Just perfect. Shading and highlighting wise, they are flawless as usual and maintained that soft look that I love on the Tuli skins. Oh, have i mentioned I love the fingernails? They seem to be super realistic and flows flawlessly with the rest of the hand. <3 You would have to teepee to Tuli to take a look at the body yourselves. Hope is my favourite Tuli skin ever and definitely worth a try :)
Of course I cant leave the post with just a skin review. The outfit below is put together as inspired by the skin. *aka, the skin and makeup was chose 1st XD* The look is kept rather simple. While shopping today, I found this awesome Japanese store, Spica, which offers a selection of jewellry and clothes (well they have quite a few socks XD). The chain tie below caught my eye as its the 1st chain tie I ever seen in Sl and its beautifully made. Lurve it! I mentioned freshtrash in my last post earlier today and here I’m spotting one of the jeans that Itny made. The jeans are entirely handdrawn and is perfection. The socks layer instead of a prim is a stroke of genius, allowing the jeans to have the look that its too long for our AVs. This is indeed a breathe of fresh air. The jewellery, both earrings and bangle is from the creator’s pavilion sale. The earrings might not be visible in the picture but woahh, you have to check it out. It is slightly oriental, such as the stone at the top of the earring which reminds me of one of those precious stones I see in the jewellery shops.
On the last note, the fashion expo begins today! :D

Spicing up the Orange

The 4 looks below revolves around the central theme of orange using 2 items – the Kavi Top from zaara and Sugarcube’s latest release, the Goldfish dress. I knew I needed to blog Sayuri’s latest release when I laid my eyes on it. The dress top is textured beautifully in lushful oriental patterns and the bottom is fill of creativity, from the uneven hems to the gradient colours of the prim. This dress is a necessity in every fashionista’s wardrobe I’ll say. Zaara is having a sale which ends on the 1st of june. It was by a dumb stroke of luck that I chose to get the orange top and it matches perfectly with the sugarcube dress skirt as seen in the 4th look.
The 1st look is a rather eccentric one, as a fabulous Nil put it. I was going crazy with accessories, adding necklaces, bangles and one earring. ^^ The ribbon from royal blue, which i shrank here, gave the outfit its crazy touch. Plus a milk carton which says “Man Killer” (Its the direct translation of the chinese words on it :O), I think I’m all dressed up for a crazy day at the carnival. Pity the RFL carnival is already over. I kinda miss the awesome rides and the funs hehez. Candle Swords released 2 new pose packs at her shop Pretzel*Poses. These pose packs are not as wild as her last few but still retain the funky and fun element which her shop is known for. The 2nd look was meant to be a cross between surfer girl and extravagance. The sugar cube dress came with longer and shirter pants and to my delight, the top and the short pants together make a perfect swimsuit. Modd *hugs* shared with me a jacket she completed yesterday and its simply awesome! I’m so proud of her and what she has been accomplishing the past few months. She has been improving so much. The collar of this jacket is wondrous and the addition of a ribbon to the front gave its girly touch. Rather than the usual straw heads linked to beach looks, I chose this rather glamourous large hat seem like one right out of the closet of Blair waldorf ^^ The bag is from ami*s, a store which I’ve been wanting to blog for a while but never had the chance to. The shop offers a selection of cute and cheap bad and the one shown below is only 50L and comes with cute sunglasses and magazines on the inside. The skin shown in this look is Hope by Tuli, an unreleased skin shared with the group. If you havn’t joined Tuli’s group, now is the time to do so. The 250L joining fee is extremely worth it as Tuli pampers her memebers with gifts almost every few weeks. I’ve never really worn Tuli’s skins as they never seem to fit me well. But this latest line fit my shape like a glove and won me over completely. I absolutely love those lips shading and the slightly pointy sides. Plus the thin eyeliner at the top eyelid, whee! I also kinda favour skins with drawn on eye lashes like the one below which is really useful when the hat or sunglasses attaches to nose, removing our prim lashes, which happened below. The 3rd look – Just the dress and a lace vest from Noar for a garden party (?) Kalnins shoes which really matches everything decorated my feet once again. The 4th look, well nothing much to point out. The hair accessory is from a shop previously featured, E!. Chopsticks in my SL prim hair, a practical accessory especially when there’s no utensils around XD. lmao. Aden reopened and the hair shown below Carrie, is on of the new releases. I love hairs with fringes plus this one, the ponytail and loose hair from the back flow gracefully to the front sides. <3 The eyes are made by my talented friend Nedeko Kohime. Her shop bodyline which is reknowned for their unique ethnic shapes have recently branched out into eyes. The shading on the eyes is flawless. The eyes comes in many shades and definitely worth checking out. On the side note, Nina and I came to a conclusion someone needs to make another high waisted belt like the maiiki one below which is really useful for hiding the jerky transitions between skirt prims and tops. I’ve been playing with poses the past few days and the pose is one which I’ve created. *Shamless plugin lolx* ZOMG right lolx.
