Al-Qaeda Kingpin: I Trained 9/11 Hijackers

More Muslim hubris. I don't expect any less from a culture whose greatest contribution to civilization was the concept of zero. From Al-Qaeda Kingpin: I Trained 9/11 Hijackers:
Louai al-Sakka sits isolated from the world and fellow inmates 24 hours a day at Kandira prison east of Istanbul, since being convicted last year in connection with the bombing of the British consulate in Istanbul that killed 27 people. By his own account he is a senior al-Qaeda operative who took part in the beheading of Briton Kenneth Bigley in Iraq and helped train the 9/11 bombers. Sakka also had been planning to sink Israeli cruise ships off the Turkish coast using motorized dinghies. His downfall in August 2005 was a result of a nighttime explosion that caused a fire in his apartment, where firefighters found a do-it-yourself bomb factory.

The Saudi Roots of 9/11

From The Saudi Roots of 9/11:

In The Siege of Mecca, Wall Street Journal writer Yaroslav Trofimov pulls back the curtain surrounding events that the Saudis would very much rather the world forgot.

The November 1979 siege of the Grand Mosque in Mecca laid the groundwork for al-Qaeda and the events of Sep. 11. Juhayman al-Uteybi led the siege. Driven by Wahhabi orthodoxy, Juhayman hated all infidels.

America's then-president Jimmy Carter's naive faith in peacemaking was no match for fundamentalist fury.

Carter's administration was busy propping up the Saudis even as outlandish conspiracy theories implicating the U.S. swept the Muslim world. Embassy staff fled murderous mobs from Pakistan to Libya.

Damage from the siege and the battle to recapture it meant reconstruction costing billions - payable to the Bin Laden Construction Company.

Today we will never forget

Welles Remy Crowther, age 24

Welles Remy Crowther. Rest in peace.

Welles Remy Crowther, age 24
.

Place killed: World Trade Center.

Resident of Upper Nyack, New York.

Welles Remy Crowther was an equities trader on the South Tower's 104th floor, who helped dozens of people to safety on September 11.

His body was found in March, 2002, alongside several firefighters and emergency workers bunched in a command post in the South Tower lobby.

----------

I am very honored to have the opportunity to post a tribute to Welles Remy Crowther, as part of the 2,996 Tribute Project in memory of the five-year anniversary of the unprovoked attack on the United States by Muslim terrorists.

Welles Remy Crowther was born the oldest of three children, displaying his fearlessness, spirit and selflessness early and often growing up in the New York's northern suburbs, his parents say.

He doted on his two younger sisters, Paige and Honor, and followed his father Jefferson's lead, always carrying a bandanna in his back pocket (Welles preferred red, his father blue) and joining him as a volunteer firefighter as a teenager.

In high school, he was the type of kid who would selflessly feed the puck to the hockey team's lowest-scoring player, hoping to give his teammate his first goal.

To his friends, he was the guy who would always listen and lend a hand.

Rain or shine, as a child, he would find something to do with his younger sisters, whether it was practicing lacrosse moves or having pillow fights in the hallway of their home.

At the age of 16, after years of helping his dad clean his village's fire trucks, he became a junior volunteer firefighter. Two years later, he earned his certification.

A stellar student and lacrosse player at Boston College, Crowther joined Sandler O'Neil and Partners after graduation, settling into his office on the South Tower's 104th floor.

While he loved his job, Welles told his dad that he really wanted to join the FDNY -- or possibly the CIA or FBI -- so he wouldn't be stuck behind a desk and would be able to help others.

But that's where he was on the morning of September 11th. Behind his desk.

He made one final call to his mom, Alison, from his office at 9:12 a.m., minutes after his tower was struck, leaving a brief, calm message saying, "Mom, this is Welles. I want you to know that I'm OK."

That call was all the Crowthers knew about their son's final moments until police knocked on their door in March, 2002, six months after the devastating attack on the United States.

Alison Crowther said the New York medical examiner's office told them Welles' body had been found intact, with no signs of burns, alongside firefighters and emergency workers then running a command center in the South Tower's lobby.

Welles Remy Crowther was a hero on September 11. One of his greatest ambitions in life was to help others.

To help others. How many people do you know whose singular ambition in life is to Help Others?

Welles Crowther trained to be a volunteer fireman and his personality and character and spirit drove him to elevate and soar above the rest of us; he helped others escape the burning, twisted metal so that they could live, while he in turn, risked his own life so that others could survive. Welles Crowther spent his final moments, not thinking of his own safety, but helping others. He was truly a remarkable man.

Ling Young is one of the people Welles saved. She sat bloody and petrified with some others in the World Trade Center -- the lights out, smoke engulfing the room and pain searing through their bodies. There was no escape from where they were in the South Tower, in pieces after being hit by United Airlines Flight 175 as far as they could tell.

Then out of nowhere, a young man burst in and took control - with a red bandanna on his face. In a strong voice, he directed them to the stairway -- which was veiled by darkness, wreckage and haze -- telling the injured to get out and the healthy to help them down.

"I see this incredible hero, running back and forth and saving the day," recalled Judy Wein. "In his mind, he had a duty to do -- to save people."

"He's definitely my guardian angel -- no ifs, ands or buts -- because without him, we would be sitting there, waiting [until] the building came down," echoes Ling Young.

Wein and Young were separated by a few minutes and a few floors that day, but they share a similar story and a single hero: Welles Crowther.

Judy Wein remembers his penetrtaing eyes, firm voice and the red bandanna he wore over his nose and mouth -- but didn't know his name.

His name was Welles Crowther.

"If he hadn't come back, I wouldn't have made it," said Wein. "People can live 100 years and not have the compassion, the wherewithal to do what he did."

Welles' father, Mr. Jefferson Crowther, wrote the following about his late son:

He was courageous and strong and selfless on that terrible morning. He faced the devil head on three times to help the victims down from the 78th floor skylobby of Tower 2, and when he got to the lobby he stayed to assist in the orderly evacuation. His body was found on March 19, 2002 with the Firefighters of Ladder 4 FDNY. He too was a firefighter, a volunteer with Empire Hook & Ladder Company #1 in Upper Nyack, NY. His mother, Alison, and I with his two younger sisters are incredibly proud of his actions that morning, and we hope it inspires other young people to become involved as volunteers, either as firefighters, ambulance corps personnel, or in any capacity that your community needs. For that is the true strength of the United States of America. Thank you, and may God bless all of you.--- Jefferson Crowther, father of the late Welles Remy Crowther.
Welles gave his life for people he did not even know. His mother, Alison Crowther, said:
I think he was blessed by God, and I think he was surrounded by a protection from God to be able to do what he did that day, and I think that that is -- maybe all we can ask of life, is that we live our lives as fully and as beautifully and as completely and as spiritually whole as what Welles did, as he did.
Paige Hope Crowther, Welles younger sister, wrote the following on the 9-11 Heroes site:
Welles was my older brother, my protector. He was an amazing young man and, although our loss was great, I find solace in knowing that in his last moments, he took on the role of being the protector of so many others. He was truly a guardian angel that day, and still is today. He is with me always, and I will forever feel his presence. He is in my thoughts, dreams and prayers everyday and if we pass his heroic story on, in this way, he will live forever.
Jeff Crowther hopes his son's story will inspire people to become a volunteer firefighter, to give money to the homeless every day like Welles did, to set goals and follow through.

"If Welles' story helps people to think of others then God bless them, God bless him," said his father. "He didn't live long enough to be head of a corporation or do good works or endow a museum. But what he did on September 11, that's his legacy."

The Crowthers have established a trust fund that will fuel awards given to high school students who exemplify the type of person their son was, as well as so many others who lost their lives that day.

"Yes, we mourn their loss, but if we only think about what we lost and not what we’ve had, we’ll just die," Alison said. "So we have to live in the beauty of what their lives were -- and who they were as human beings because that’s what we celebrate and that’s what we fill our lives with."

How Much 9/11 Tribute Is Enough?

It figures. Leave it to the New York Times to publish an article presenting the lefty perspective that memorializing September 11, 2001 again on September 11, 2007 is questionable as to whether all of it is necessary, at the same decibel level — still. Quote unquote. The abrasive article, by N. R. Kleinfeld, comes at a time when the country is divided between those who love America and those who love Muslims, their pretty burkas and their quaint way of life, not including the honor killings, female genital mutilations, homicide bombings, chauvinism, imperialism, racism, and their penchant with their kill-switch in the "on" position to get very close to Jews and Americans and thus kill them. Charlene Correia, 57, a nursing supervisor from Acushnet, Mass, who is quoted in the article postures “I may sound callous, but doesn’t grieving have a shelf life?” Yeah, Charlene, it does, but given the fact that left-wing libtards short-circuited our grieving period prematurely because mainstream psychologists felt that watching horrific pictures of men and women jumping to their deaths would be traumatic and hence, aborted the video footage before the rest of America was able to naturally exit from their grieving phase.

Sorry, folks, but 9/11 is still with us every day. As we witness Muslims striking out in egregious behavior in more that 25 conflicts around the world: in Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Congo, Cote d'Ivoire, Cyprus, East Timor, India, Indonesia (2 provinces), Kashmir, Kazakastan, Kosovo, Kurdistan, Macedonia, the Middle East, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Sudan, Russia-Chechnya, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uganda and Uzbekistan. Doesn't this mean that extremist Islam is the norm and normal Islam is extremely rare?

So thank you - again - NY Times, for commandeering us and piloting for us the path with which the rest of us - in your pro-arabist opinion - should move on with our lives, because, after all, according to your editors, the Jews and America deserved what happened on 9-11. Israel, is, after all, a shitty little country, isn't that right Arthur Ochs Sulzberger Jr?

Bin Laden may have arranged family's US exit: FBI docs

Some of bin Laden family members were not even interviewed. From Bin Laden may have arranged family's US exit - FBI docs:

Osama bin Laden may have chartered a plane that carried his family members and Saudi nationals out of the United States after the September 11, 2001 attacks, said FBI documents released Wednesday.

The papers, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, were made public by Judicial Watch, a Washington-based group that investigates government corruption.

One FBI document referred to a Ryan Air 727 airplane that departed Los Angeles International Airport on September 19, 2001, and was said to have carried Saudi nationals out of the United States.

9/11 mastermind confesses in Guantanamo

Via Jihad Watch:
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the suspected mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks, confessed to that attack and a string of others during a military hearing at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, according to a transcript released Wednesday by the Pentagon.

"I was responsible for the 9/11 operation from A to Z," Mohammed said in a statement that was read during the session, which was held last Saturday.

Mohammed claimed responsibility for planning, financing, and training others for bombings ranging from the 1993 attack at the World Trade Center to the attempt by would-be shoe bomber Richard Reid to blow up a trans-Atlantic flight with explosives hidden in his shoes.

In all, Mohammed said he was responsible for planning 28 individual attacks, including many that were never executed. The comments were included in a 26-page transcript released by the Pentagon, which blacked out some of his remarks.
Here's a transcript.

Almost 10,000 Days, Same Players, Same Game & We Have Learned Nothing

Northeast Intelligence Network reminds us that:
Today is the 26th anniversary of the release of 52 Americans who were held hostage by Islamic terrorists in Iran for an unbelievable 444 days. Released from their captivity on January 21, 1981, it has been two months shy of 10,000 days – 9940 days to be exact, since about 300 Islamic terrorists calling themselves students stormed the U.S. Embassy Compound on Taleghani Avenue in Tehran, called at that time "the den of spies." Some believe that the birthing of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Embassy takeover marked the beginning of the clash between Islam and the West that we are still fighting today. It was – and continues to be – Islam versus the West in general, or perhaps more specifically, Islam versus the U.S. and Israel. It is the same war that ultimately forever changed the landscape of America on 9/11, with numerous clashes before and since that day of death and destruction.
Folks, it's easy to forget how long Islam has been laying seige on the West, and it's even easier to think that Israel is the root problem, because scapegoating Jews is a centuries-old thought process. Yet, if that were the case, if Israel is responsible for Muslim wrath, tell me what Israel did to encourage Syria to swallow Lebanon, to encourage Saddam Hussein to unleash a bloodbath against Iran, to encourage Saddam Hussein to invade Kuwait, to encourage Kuwait to expel hundreds of thousands of "palestinians", to encourage the Taliban to destroy the Bamiyan Buddha statues in Afghanistan, to encourage the slaughter of Christians in the Sudan, to encourage the bombings in Bali that killed 202 people, to encourage church bombings in Pakistan, or to blow up 150 Indians on the railroad system in Bombay, or to blow up commuters on London's rail stations. Still think Israel is the cause of all problems? Think again. Click here to read the article in full.

What is today's reality?

From the always excellent Mark Levin, on National Review Online:
What I fear is that the Democrats will succeed in forcing us from Iraq. The inevitable result will be a blood bath, the expansion of Iran’s power (an Iran which will soon possess nuclear weapons), the expansion of war in that area to include so-called moderate Arab countries and Israel, a launching base for al-Qaeda, and control over major oil fields and facilities that fuel the world’s economy. If you think Afghanistan was a terrorist base, you ain’t seen nothing yet. If you think Somalia 1994 emboldened the enemy, it’ll look like child’s play compared to a defeat in Iraq. And there’s a real potential for an attack or a series of attacks on the United States far greater than 9/11.

I believe we will be back in Iraq and that region within 5-10 years if we leave now. And the cost will be far greater in blood and treasure.

Some of us understand what’s at stake here, but clearly not enough of us. The Democrats and too many Republicans are stuck on September 10, 2001. They worry more about the next election than the next generation.

The Anti-Profiling Agenda

An excerpt from Robert Spencer's The Anti-Profiling Agenda, via FrontPage:

Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN) has been named to the House Judiciary Committee. Ellison said in a statement: “I look forward to pursuing a progressive agenda in the committee, including the restoration of American citizen’s civil liberties that have come under increasing attack over the past six years.”

The American citizens Ellison, the nation’s first Muslim congressman, has in mind are likely Muslims who charge that they have been subjected to unjust scrutiny and inconvenience in the aftermath of 9/11. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) shares this view: she has announced her intention to “correct the Patriot Act,” and wants to criminalize scrutiny of Muslims at airports and elsewhere:
“Since September 11, many Muslim Americans have been subjected to searches at airports and other locations based upon their religion and national origin. We must make it illegal.”
Helping make it illegal with Ellison on the House Judiciary Committee will be John Conyers (D-MI), the new chairman of that committee. “The policies of the Bush administration,” he has declared, “have sent a wave of fear through our immigrant communities and targeted our Arab and Muslim neighbors.”

Pelosi, Conyers, and Ellison by all appearances seem less concerned about any wave of fear that may be sent through American non-Muslims by continued jihad terror activity on American soil. But just this week there have been numerous indications that that jihad activity is continuing:

[1] Talib Abu Salam ibn Shareef (Derrick Shareef), a convert to Islam, pled not guilty Tuesday to plotting a terrorist attack against a shopping mall in Rockford, Illinois. As they were discussing his plans before his arrest, Shareef told an undercover agent: “Any place that’s crowded, like a mall is good, anything, any government facility is good. I swear by Allah man, I’m down for it too, I’m down for the cause, I’m down to live for the cause and die for the cause, man.” What cause? In a videotaped statement discovered after his arrest, Shareef tied his plans explicitly to his Islamic faith:

“I am from America, and this tape is to let you guys know, who disbelieve in Allah, to let the enemies of Islam know, and to let the Muslims alike know that the time for jihad is now...be strong, oh Mujahideen...May Allah protect me on this mission we conduct...so do not cry, do not mourn for me.”
[2] Mohammed Yousuf Mullawala, a Muslim citizen of India, is the subject of a continuing investigation in Rhode Island after enrolling in a truck driving school, inquiring about getting a permit to carry hazardous materials, and telling instructors that he did not need to learn how to back up. Also, Rhode Island State Police Major Steven O’Donnell revealed that “we’ve tied some of his cell-phone records to people of interest nationally” – that is, people who are suspected of terrorist activity. “They’re not your typical person’s cell-phone history … the volume of contacts obviously raises the level of suspicion.” Referring to Mullawala’s own possible connection to jihad terror activity, O’Donnell said: “We don’t know whether he’s a major player, a minor player, or any type of player. But the indicators lead us to believe that his behavior is not normal.”

[3] Imam Fawaz Damra, the former leader of the largest mosque in Cleveland, was deported to the West Bank last Thursday. When he arrived, Israeli authorities promptly arrested him for his ties to the terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad. His failure to disclose those ties got him deported in the first place. He was also captured on videotape telling an Islamic audience that “the first principle is that terrorism, and terrorism alone, is the path to liberation…. If what they mean by jihad is terrorism, then we are terrorists” – despite having been a signer of the Fiqh Council of North America’s much lionized condemnation of terrorism.

[4] On Monday, a Pakistani Muslim, Shahawar Matin Siraj, was sentenced to thirty years in prison for his plan to blow up a Manhattan subway station.

[5] Last Friday in Palm Springs, a man named Haider Mohammad, who claimed to be an Al-Qaeda operative, was arrested in a bar after threatening to “kill all Jews.”

And that’s just in the last couple of weeks.

STATEMENT BY THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY

We maintain the same views expressed in our statement dated December 9, 2005 also in the context of the conference held in Teheran on December 11-12e ntitled "Jewish Holocaust: Global Perspectives." We expressed in that statement that the Holocaust suffered by the Jews in World War II is a historical fact that wounded the conscience of humanity and that this crime against humanity had been established also by international law. We regard such initiatives which question this historical fact as misplacedand approach them with concern and grief.

Welles Remy Crowther made honorary NYC fireman

This morning I heard on the radio that Welles Remy Crowther has been named an honorary New York City fireman, in recognition of his heroism during the September 11 terrorist attacks. Welles was murdered on September 11, 2001. He was an equities trader on the South Tower's 104th floor, who helped dozens of people to safety on that catastrophic day. His body was found in March, 2002, alongside several firefighters and emergency workers bunched in a command post in the South Tower lobby. I was proud to honor Welles as part of the 2,996 Tribute on the fifth anniversary of 9-11.

From a Muslim outlook, imams have missed the point on flight behavior

For whatever this is worth, I am republishing this article, from the Arizona Republic in full. I disagree that the majority of American Muslims are aligned with M. Zuhdi Jasser , the author of this article. If that were the case, M. Zuhdi Jasser would be just one of thousands of Muslims in America writing with the same sentiment. Sadly, M. Zuhdi Jasser is the only American Muslim I know of at this moment who holds this sentiment and who is willing to write about it. From Arizona Republic:

The first thing one must understand about this whole hullabaloo with the Muslim imams taken off a Phoenix-bound plane in Minneapolis is that it most definitely was not about the right to prayer or freedom of worship.

And much as the imams and their handlers may try, it is certainly not about victimization.

But because the case of the six imams (five from the Valley) and US Airways Flight 300 has taken on a life of its own, it would be helpful to look and see what lessons can be gleaned from this story.

All of us as Americans have endured the incremental inconveniences of air travel since 9/11. From 3-ounce fluid limits to random searches, those of us with the first name Mohammed can also attest to humbling profiling. Most of us are quite willing to endure all this because we know the inherent dangers of flying in the world today.

There is little argument that American airport concourses have become clinics of anxiety-laden travelers who have become vigilant in spotting anything out of the ordinary. This vigilance and anxiety is even more acutely felt by U.S. Transportation Security Administration agents and airline crews. They will never be rewarded for a safe flight. But they will be globally vilified for one lax call that leads to tragedy.

Into this highly charged environment comes this incident of the imams returning from their conference. To ignore the larger context is to virtually live in an airtight bubble.

The preponderance of evidence points to some troubling coincidences during flight preparation, regardless of where we stand on this issue. The distribution of their seats, while in fact random, raised concern. Changing seats after boarding, rather than before, raised concern. Conversations in Arabic after boarding raised concern. Seatbelt extenders raised concern. However, no passengers refused to board after seeing and hearing the imams pray aloud at the gate. Taken individually, each of the reported actions could be something any of us would do. However, in totality, although unfortunate in retrospect, it remains hard to fault a cautious crew who must act with little information to ensure a safe flight.

But let us look at the response of the imams since the incident.

They rushed toward the media never looking back. They have taken their story of victimization to every soft media they could find. They then stoked the same tired Muslim flames of victimization through their own political pulpits in mosques around the Valley.

Organizations like CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) and the Muslim American Society also immediately jumped on board, even before the imams' flight reached Phoenix the next day, and began whipping up the drums of victimization. Their handlers flew in from across the country staging rallies and pray-ins so they could teach the American people about this supposed tragedy of injustice.

As a devout Muslim, I have watched this painfully protracted saga unravel, fearing what comes next. The media, especially print media, have bent over backward to hear minorities' fears. Yet public opinion has not seemed to budge in favor of the imams. The lesson here lies in why. It has to do with credibility.

We are all creatures of passion. This fiasco has stirred the passionate cry of victimization from the Muslim activist community and imam community. But where were the news conferences, the rallies to protest the endless litany of atrocities performed by people who act supposedly in my religion's name? Where are the denunciations, not against terrorism in the abstract, but clear denunciations of al-Qaida or Hamas, of Wahhabism or militant Islamism, of Darfurian genocide or misogyny and honor killings, to name a few? There is no cry, there is no rage. At best, there is the most tepid of disclaimers. In short, there is no passion. But for victimization, always.

Only when Americans see that animating passion will they believe that we Muslims are totally against the fascists that have hijacked our religion. There is only so much bandwidth in the American culture to focus upon Islam and Muslims. If we fill it with our shouts of victimization, then the real problems from within and outside our faith community will never be heard.

Though this was not about prayer, let us look at the prayer itself: certainly a central part of our faith both alone and in congregation. The Quran teaches Muslims that God did not make our faith to be too difficult. Thus, during travel, many of us pray alone in silence when we cannot find a private place or where public display is not appropriate.

Prayer is an intimate thing, five times a day for Muslims. It is a personal conversation with God and not about showing others how devout we are.

Congregational prayers are preferred, but in travel (as three of the imams did apparently do) they can be combined upon their arrival in Phoenix.

Alija Izetbegovic, former president of Bosnia-Herzegovina, once said he was never so close to God in his prayers as a Muslim as he was during his solitary confinement for 12 years as a political prisoner struggling for liberty under Josip Broz Tito's oppression.

These imams would do well to learn from President Izetbegovic. He further understood the separation of religion and politics.

He understood God teaches us in the Quran that our religion is based upon intention and that if we perceive that the public situation is not conducive to our congregational prayer, that a forgiving God will understand.

Because these imams and their handlers just don't get it, it's time we Muslims found leadership and organizations that do.

Our predicament is unique, fragile and precarious. We Muslims are a relatively new minority in a nation that gives us freedoms that no other Muslim nation would allow.

Whether we acknowledge it or not, a radical subset of our faith community is seeking to destroy the basis for this liberty.

Either we predominantly direct our passions against these radicals or Americans will not count us as allies in this consuming struggle.

M. Zuhdi Jasser is a Phoenix physician and chairman of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy. He can be reached at Zuhdi@aifdemocracy.org.

When it comes to Holocaust denial and other untruths, remember this

Holocaust denial is being treated as a legitimate alternative viewpoint when in fact it is a falsification of history. When you're speaking about indisputable historical facts, there is no alternative. Holocaust denial is nothing more than hatred disguised as an interpretation of history.

See, without such hatred, Arabs, Muslims, [and yes, Christians] wouldn't be able to incite and commit acts of violence against Jews. Their goal is to delegitimize Jews, Judaism, and of course, Israel. One must re-define Jews as "cancers", "virus", "Christ-killers", "hook-nosed kikes", "rats", "demons", "baby-killers", etc. in order to hate them so that it is easier to kill them. Goebbels knew this well and so did the Germans and the rest of Europe who inhaled Hitler's euphoria when he spoke about Jews and Germany's pressing need to rid itself of them.

See, the Arab world’s grievance against Israel has little to do with territory and political authority. It has to do instead with the very existence of Jews living in the Middle East. For others, it has to do with the very existence that Jews exist at all. Why then, did Arabs murder 67 Jews while they were praying in a synagogue in their Jewish Holy City of Hebron in 1929?

The Holocaust denial conference held this week - and don't be mistaken - there have been several dozen held over the years - is just another sick-minded expression by Islamists, but it's not unusual. Holocaust denial and anti-Semitic feasts are typical fare in the Islamic diet.

Irwin Cotler writes "Let there be no doubt about it, those who would seek to deny the Jewish people their past are the same people who, if given the chance, would deny the Jewish people their future."

Folks, I ask of you - and what you must ask of your friends, co-workers, and acquaintances - is to learn the background and history of the Middle East and the essence of the political movement of Islam. When you hear that "international law" is always violated by Israel, but terrorist attacks and suicide bombings merit no mention, bring that hypocrisy up. When someone mentions that Iran is a democracy, remind them that it is not a democracy but an Islamic theocracy and that women are stoned in Iran. Bring that up. If you hear that Jews and Christians are not persecuted in the Middle East then remind them that Jews and Christians are forced to pay the jiziya tax as part of their subjugation.

With Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons, he can accomplish in one afternoon what it took Hitler six years to do: kill 6 million people. Moreso, everyone knows where Iran's nuclear weapons will be pointed, and everyone knows that if the button is ever pushed, it will be the end of Israel. And the end of Western civilization.

If you are exposed to ideas and comments that are patently untrue, such as the idea that the attacks on the 9/11 were justified or that they were America’s fault, or that Jews did it, then fight back. Only then can you verbally defend against terror and murder carried out in the name of Islam and help ensure the survival of Western civilization.

If you remain silent, then it would seem you prefer it that way. If I could, I would save your life. Would you try to save mine?

A radical Islamic front, led by Iran and including Hizballah, Hamas, and al-Qaeda, is making a bid to expand its brand of theocratic rule throughout the Muslim world, with the aim of dominating the West as well. If the U.S. retreats in the face of this challenge, militant Islamism will advance. Israel may or may not be the first victim of this advance, but we will not be the last. As the 9/11 attacks illustrated, the Islamists have tired of pretending that Israel is their only, or even primary enemy. For an Iranian-dominated Muslim world, Israel is the hors d'oevre; America and Europe are the meal.

FOX vs. CAIR, Round 2

Via FrontPageMag:

On September 23, 2002, an article written by Paul Bond was published in FrontPage Magazine exposing the contempt for Fox News Channel felt by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization that has been cited for its numerous ties to extremist Islamic elements. According to CAIR, Fox had exhibited a “pattern of anti-Muslim bias.” Over three years later, the group’s contempt has not subsided, as one of its most prominent representatives, Ahmed Bedier, recently made a conscious decision to let loose on Fox, revealing CAIR’s own prejudice – a pattern of anti-Fox bias.

A large Fox News logo adorned the homepage of CAIR’s website, along with a red, white and black button telling its viewers to “TAKE ACTION.” Under the heading “FOX news allows attack on Prophet Muhammad,” the following was stated:

“CAIR today expressed concern about what it says is a pattern of anti-Muslim bias by Fox News Channel citing Wednesday night's ‘Hannity & Colmes’ program as an example of how the network promotes anti-Muslim hate. On that program, host Sean Hannity seemed to encourage televangelist Pat Robertson in his venomous attack on Islam and on the Prophet Muhammad ...”

By clicking on the button, one was taken to a page that featured a pre-written letter and Fox contact information, including the e-mail address for Fox News’ CEO Roger Ailes.

One week later, on September 26, 2002, the Fox logo was gone, only to be replaced with a logo for ‘Hannity & Colmes.’ And under the heading “‘Thousands’ contact FOX over anti-Muslim bias,” CAIR crowed:

“Fox News Channel officials tell the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) they are receiving ‘thousands’ of complaints about anti-Muslim bias in that network’s news and commentary. The Islamic civil rights and advocacy group has requested a meeting to discuss ways in which Fox’s coverage of issues related to Islam and Muslims can be improved ...”

Fast forward three years to November 24, 2006. The venue is the radio show of CAIR-Florida’s Communications Director and the Director of CAIR’s Tampa office, Ahmed Bedier. The show is called ‘True Talk,’ which is highly misleading, considering the fact that Mr. Bedier has been previously caught lying. The guests for the show were Bushra Khan, the Media Director for CAIR-Arizona, and Ahmed Shqeirat, one of the six Arizona imams that were kicked off the U.S. Airways plane that was leaving from Minnesota.

During the show, both host and guest took aim at those they deem responsible for the imams’ circumstances by throwing around terms and labels meant to marginalize security-conscious individuals:

Bedier: “The Council on American-Islamic Relations has come out in support of the imams and has basically said that this is a phenomena that we’re seeing – escalating phenomena – called ‘Flying While Muslim.’”
Shqeirat: “You know, I think there’s a – this – what’s happened – this unfortunate incident – shows us the media hysteria and Islamophobia and the seedier side we as Muslims in America have been suffering from since 9/11.”

Soon the attacks veered off course, however, and seized at a new unsuspecting victim. That victim was Fox News Channel, and the perpetrator was CAIR’s Ahmed Bedier.

Bedier’s rant began with a caller’s mentioning of a statistic regarding the radicalization of a large part of the world’s Muslims. The exchange went as follows:

CALLER: “You know, out of those 1.2 billion Muslims, 15 percent of ‘em think it’s okay to kill Americans.”

BEDIER: “Where did you get that statistic, Sir?”

CALLER: “That is from the Fox statistics.”

BEDIER: [sarcastically] “Oh Fox! That’s a good ‘fair and balanced’…”

After the caller left, the one-sided battle continued:

BEDIER: “Bushra, I wanted to get your reaction. He quoted 15 percent of the 1.2 billion Muslims are -- I think he had said terrorists, or at least radicals. When I asked him -- It’s important when callers call up that they provide some sort of -- Basically, they should let us know where they’re getting their source from, and he said Fox News. What’s your reaction to that claim?”

KHAN: “I don’t watch Fox. I’m not sure where Fox got that number from, but that might be something we can check into.”

BEDIER: “Now, most people know that Fox is basically one-way biased, probably one of the most biased news outlets. And I’m not talking about the local Fox. I’m talking about the Fox News Channel -- the cable station. Most people know that all the shows on there are extremely right wing and anti-Muslim and dehumanize Muslims daily. So when he said that, I was about to fall off my chair.”

What is interesting about Bedier’s rant is that, while he sounded a little unhinged, he did keep his wits about him enough to make a distinction between the local and national branches of Fox News. Locally, Bedier has received royal treatment from Fox’s affiliate, WTVT-Tampa. In fact, it is on WTVT that he made his infamous statement about Palestinian Islamic Jihad. After being asked if he thought it was immoral for Sami Al-Arian to be associating with Palestinian Islamic Jihad, he stated, “To a certain degree. Now, before 1995 there was nothing immoral about it.”

What is of further interest with regard to Bedier’s monologue is that Fox News Channel, itself, on a number of occasions, has given him a forum to state his views. Who can forget the spin and lies he provided on ‘Hannity & Colmes,’ one of the shows CAIR has cited for bias?

As well, many leaders from CAIR have appeared on Fox. If there’s such a concern, why are they showing up for the interviews? One would think it possible that CAIR does not believe its own rhetoric.

Are Ahmed Bedier and CAIR right? Is Fox News filled with this hatred for Muslims and disdain for their wellbeing? Or is it all just hype – an attempt to divert attention from CAIR’s own issues, such as their connections to groups and individuals charged with terrorist activity? Whatever the case, you can be sure this one-way war of words is not over.

Coming soon, Round 3.

Joe Kaufman is the Chairman of Americans Against Hate, the founder of CAIR Watch, and the spokesman for Terror-Free Oil Initiative.

What is the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY)?

From Discover The Network:

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth, founded by bin Laden's nephew, this youth group seeks "to teach our children to love taking revenge on the Jews".
  • Saudi-based Islamic organization with chapters in 55 countries
  • Founded by Osama bin Laden’s nephew
  • Holds conferences and distributes literature promoting jihad and anti-Semitism
  • Raises funds for Palestinian terrorist groups, including Hamas
  • Has been linked to both the 9/11 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing

A non-governmental youth and student group affiliated with the United Nations, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) defines itself as "an independent organization and Islamic forum that supports the work of Muslim organizations and needy communities the world over." While WAMY's international headquarters are located in Saudi Arabia, the organization also maintains satellite chapters in 55 additional countries and is affiliated with some 500 other Muslim youth groups on five continents.

Specifically, WAMY aims to achieve the following: “Preserve the identity of Muslim youth and help overcome the problems they face in modern society”; “educate and train them in order for them to become active and positive citizens in their countries”; “introduce Islam to non-Muslims in its purest form as a comprehensive system and way of life”; “establish a relationship of dialogue, understanding and appreciation between Muslim organizations and the western societies”; and “provide assistance to Muslim and non-Muslim organizations to fulfil [sic] these goals through training and cooperation.”

Toward these ends, WAMY holds regional and local Muslim youth and student camps; helps to establish Muslim scout groups; organizes conferences, symposia, workshops and research circles “to address youth and students issues”; publishes books, brochures, reports, and exhibition material “that best introduce Islam to non-Muslims in its holistic vision”; organizes exchange visits, Hajj and Umra trips; and provides training and support to Muslim youth organizations around the world. These activities have earned WAMY the designation of “humanitarian and relief-works organization” from the United Nations.

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth is also one of the vehicles through which the Saudi Wahhabi government funds Islamic extremism and international terrorism. WAMY was co-founded by Kamal Helwabi, a former senior member of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, and by Osama bin Laden's nephew, Abdullah bin Laden (who served as WAMY's President through 2002 and is now its Treasurer). WAMY raises funds for the terrorist group Hamas, and in October 2002 made Hamas leader Khaled Mash'al an “honored guest” at a Muslim youth and globalization conference held in Riyadh. WAMY also helps finance the Kashmir insurgency against India, characterizing it as a "liberation" movement.

A Saudi opposition group reports that WAMY disseminates literature encouraging “religious hatred and violence against Jews, Christians, Shi’a and Ashaari Muslims.” As WAMY puts it, this literature is expressly designed "to teach our children to love taking revenge on the Jews and the oppressors, and teach them that our youngsters will liberate Palestine and Jerusalem when they go back to Islam and make jihad for the sake of Allah." Some WAMY publications have included interviews with Saudi clerics such as Ayed al-Qarni, an adviser to Saudi Prince Fahd. In one such interview, al-Qarni stated that he prays for America's destruction daily, that he encourages students to go to Iraq to fight against U.S. forces, and that those who cannot go should at least contribute money to the cause. Another WAMY publication features a list of "martyrs" who have attacked and murdered Israelis; one of the individuals on this list is a man who drove 14 bus passengers off a cliff as a member of the group "Heroes from Palestine."

Investigations of the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center uncovered, in an apartment of one of the terrorists, an envelope marked "WAMY" along with a training manual on how to set up terrorist cells in other countries and stage attacks.WAMY came under FBI scrutiny after 9/11, when it was determined that a radiologist, Dr. Al Badr al-Hamzi, whose credit card was found among the possessions of the hijackers, was receiving funding from the organization. The Senate Finance Committee requested that the IRS examine WAMY's U.S. branch for links to terrorism. WAMY was also named in a trillion-dollar lawsuit by the families of the victims of 9/11.

In May 2004, federal law-enforcement, immigration, and anti-terrorism agents raided WAMY's Alexandria, Virginia office, seizing all of its computers and hard drives, and arresting a volunteer board member on immigration charges. WAMY had been operating out of the office of Jamal Barzinji, who was involved with a total of seven organizations that were raided by federal agents in connection with terrorist financing. After the raid on its office, WAMY likened itself to the YMCA, saying that it was interested only in "youth education, youth development, and serving the Muslim community."

Though WAMY's activities in the United States were derailed, its operations elsewhere in the world continue unabated -- in many instances with the help of other, likeminded organizations. For example, WAMY's efforts in Somalia are supported by the "Christian charities" Novib and Oxfam, which are based in the United Kingdom and Holland, respectively.

One of WAMY's closest affiliates is the European Council for Fatwa and Research, which aims to spread fundamentalist Islam and implement Shari'a (Islamic Law) worldwide. Another organization with intimate ties to WAMY is the Muslim Students' Association of the U.S. and Canada. And four directors of the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) -- including Anwar Ibrahim, a terror-supporting Malaysian Islamist who co-founded IIIT -- are trustees of WAMY.

In December 1999, WAMY announced at a press conference in Saudi Arabia that it "was extending both moral and financial support to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) "to help it construct its $3.5 million headquarters in Washington, D.C." WAMY also agreed to "introduce CAIR to Saudi philanthropists and recommend their financial support for the headquarters project." In 2002, CAIR and WAMY jointly announced, again from Saudi Arabia, their collaboration on a $1 million public-relations campaign.

Islam scholar Stephen Schwartz calls WAMY “the Saudi equivalent of the Hitler Youth: a hate-mongering, ultra-extremist group preaching, among other niceties, that Shia Muslims are not real Muslims, but products of a Jewish conspiracy.” The website Militant Islam Monitor characterizes the organization as “part of the Saudi Wahhabist 'Jihad through conversion' drive.”

Muslims now seek prayer rooms at airports

Folks, the US Constitution prohibits special rights for special people. Civil rights is one thing but special rights? Uh-uh, sorry, but special rights is outright discriminatory. Well, it really doesn't matter what you think because Muslims are being assigned a special-right special-class status in this country and I resent it. Special rights is not just rhetoric. Special rights is a political term which refers to laws granting rights to one group which are not extended to other groups.

Here's what happened. Airport officials say they will consider setting aside a private area for prayer and meditation at the request of some Somali imams concerned about the removal of six Muslim clerics from a US Airways flight last week. You know, those six Muslim "clerics" who were intentionally provocative by praying aloud denigrating the United States, asking to rearrange their seats so that two would sit in first class, two would sit on the aisle and two would sit in the back like the 9-11 hijackers were seated, who asked for seat-belt extenders and then placed them beneath their seats, and then because of their pronounced suspicious behavior, were asked to deplane.

By the way, why is every Muslim referred to in the mainstream media an imam or a cleric? Every Jew is not a rabbi. Every Christian is not a priest. Why is every city, town and tribal village in the "great Arabian nation" always referred to as "the Muslim Holy city of ..."? Who writes this crap? How in hell did Muslims achieve such esteem in the press? Why is the mainstream media so infatuated with Islam? Why is the left so gaga over Islam? What contributions to mankind have Muslims made that are beneficial? I'm sorry, speak louder, I didn't hear your answer.

Regardless, getting back to the airport Muslim prayer room request, Steve Wareham, the director of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, said other airports do have "meditation rooms" used for prayers or by passengers who simply need quiet time. In fact, airports in Nashville, Columbus, and Fort Lauderdale, all advertise generic meditation rooms. Fort Lauderdale's is billed as "For travelers seeking a quiet time." However, all meditation rooms are nonsectarian and they are noted as such.

But now Muslims are requesting a meditation room just for them and don't forget, Muslim cabdrivers don't want to pick up passengers carrying alcohol.

This is what it is folks, Muslims are determined to conquer us by hook or by crook and every one of you who remains silent about this is culpable.

Haveil Havalim #95 - Thanksgiving Edition

"Hinei ma tov uma na'im shevet achim gam yachad."
"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is to be united like brothers and sisters in one family and one community." --- Psalm 133:1

Folks, I am pleased to host this edition of Haveil Havalim, the weekly round up of posts from all over the JBlogosphere. There were lots of great submissions to choose from this week, resulting in a profound reflection of thought, opinion, rant, observation, religion, and talent. The JBlogosphere is a great community and I'm proud to part of it.

Ok, let's get started. For starters, what in the world is the J-Blogosphere? (As if you didn't already know. ) But, if you didn't already know, click here for more information.

One of the earliest HH submissions that I received was from Bagelblogger, who I only recently discovered. Bagel Blogger's funny Mr Bagel, a cartoon character, is the site's mascot spokesperson. After doing many single frame cartoons, Mr Bagel breaks out and does his first cartoon strip. You might notice Bagelblogger's new masthead too. Bagel has his fourth caption contest running, and pointed out, that despite what the Palestinians would have the world believe, Palestinian women are becoming more and more active in waging Jihad against the Israeli State. And their language? Their convoluted propganda talkspeak? Read about it here.

AbbaGav writes about how he met his wife Sharon, in a post inspired by West Bank Mama, who according to AbbaGav, was inspired by Treppenwitz.

If Ariel Sharon were to awake from his coma, what would he say about the State of Israel? Rafi translates from a Hebrew post and gives us some insight. He also writes about restarting his shechita learning, and about Arkadi Gaydamak, an Israeli billionaire.

Bacon Eating Atheist Jew admits it; he was going to watch the OJ interview and would have turned the channel during the commercials, but since Murdoch has cancelled the tv program, none of us can watch. Thank goodness.

Ahhh, Banagor. One of my favorite bloggers, although he is neither Jewish nor Israeli, Banagor came out of a one month hiatus from blogging to write one of the most absolutely brilliant posts I've ever read, ever. Read Banagor's brilliant Exasperation he has - and that I also share - with the Democrats and the Muslim world.

Anne, at Boker Tov, Boulder, posts an excerpt from the speech that Abba Eban gave at the Commonwealth Club in California on November 14, 1970. Anne writes that although the excerpt is no more than a blip in the "long and unending dialogue between the Jewish people and the rest of mankind," she hopes it will strengthen us nonetheless. We need all the strengthening we can get.

Olah Chadasha points out the mythology that Palestinians don't use or get used as human shields at Greetings From The French Hill. OC is also at a crossroad in a career decision. I wish him peace of mind.

Cosmic X points out how truly unrepresentative of the Jewish people are the self-elected representatives of the Jewish people, in a dissection of this article by Dr. Muli Peleg.

Sarah enjoys taking photos and presents Leaf Glow posted at her site ~ Sarah's View ~.

Another blog that I had not heard of before, is Shifting the Paradigm, written by anonym00kie, who from the get-go, blogged that G-d believes in us more than we have so far learnt to believe in ourselves. Sometimes, despair makes us forget that.

Omri excels at puncturing mere rhetoric when he hears it, and this time, harpoons Reuters propaganda mouthpiece Nidal al-Mughrabi and raises the AP Bias Alert Level: Obvious (Grandma Suicide Bomber Edition).

Avromi, of daf notes, writes about the new ruling issued by the Tzitz Eliezer on smoking on Yom Tov.

Yid With Lid asks if Olmert is losing control of his govt? Um, yes, he is, Yid, and that's a good thing because another government, a better one, must replace it. Maybe Israel's citizenship is waking up. I also worry that Israel's government is losing its focus on HaShem. Yid also demonstrates that France still manifests its Vichy disposition. As you might already know, Vichy France was established after France surrendered to Germany on June 22, 1940, and took its name from the government's administrative centre in Vichy, southeast of Paris. While officially neutral in the war, Vichy actively collaborated with the Nazis, including their racial policies. Sometimes it seems that Israel's UN ambassador Dan Gillerman is the only one in the government who owns a backbone.

Batya makes great points in I've been saying that. Batya asks "why do signs in Yad Veshem say that the Jews "perished" in Nazi Germany? They ignore the "m" word. Instead of hammering away with the true fact that man murdered man, the picture is of a natural disaster, like everyone perished in the flood except Noah and his family." Excellent points, Batya.

Soccer Dad opens our eyes on how some people foolishly idolized James Baker, including Carla Anne Robbins, an editorial observer for the New York Slimez Times.

Akiva at Mystical Paths writes about an eerie manifestation of the Rebbe at 770, and links to a video that a visiting chosid filmed with his cell phone on Thursday. Watch closely at seconds 9-12...Video in 770.

ZionistYoungster writes that regardless that there are moderate Muslims, they are no more relevant to our situation than were Germans who saw Nazism as nothing more but a movement to heal German society internally.

Yoni Tidi writes how the security fence has been breached around Jerusalem. Wake up, Olmert, wake the heck up.

Avi at Tel Chai Nation warns about a subliminal message in a crossword puzzle that a Spanish teacher at Smithfield-Selma Senior High School handed out that some students and parents said teaches hate against Israel and America.

Solomonia issues a "1930's in color" alert, warning us of yet another anti-Amerian animated film on Iranian TV.

The most submissions to HH #95 that I received were from Israel Matzav, also known as Carl In Jerusalem. In one post, Israel Matzav spears the detestable Louise Arbour, who earlier this week refused to meet with the families of kidnapped IDF soldiers Gilad Shalit, Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser, deciding that Israel is 'more to blame' than Hezbullah for human rights violations during the war in Lebanon. Carl also submitted an article about Palestinian Human Shields he found on American Thinker. And in another, Israel Matzav describes the twisted thought process behind Islamic Jihad leader Ramadan Shalah's statement that Israel's 'security fence' is a significant obstacle to the 'Palestinian resistance.' Shyeah, according to that line of thinking, I suppose killing Jews is no obstacle to getting approval from Allah. And in yet another post, Harvard Professor and lawyer Alan Dershowitz did what needed to be done to Dhimmi Carter's new book in a New York Sun review yesterday: Israel Matzav tells us he tore it to shreds for being the one-sided piece of garbage that it is. And in a flying pig moment, Israel Matzav tells us Human Rights Watch has come out against the use of 'Palestinian' civilians as human shields for their terrorist leaders.

Elisson writes movingly about a Bar Mitzvah boy who lost his beloved mother to cancer two months later.

Jewish Blogmeister tells us about the escalation of a discussion regarding modesty of women's clothing within the Haredi Yeshiva world.

And guess what? Israel Perspectives is back and writes that true Jewish multi-culturalism begins at home, with the Jewish People in the Land of Israel.

WestBankMama celebrates her one year blogiversary with her own roundup of "only in Israel" stories. Happy Blogiversary!

I wish the leaders of Israel would have some clarity and resolve like Patrick. Patrick dilineates for us the failure of Olmert's government in Israeli Ghost Towns.

Daniel Pipes questions the future of Kadima, an incoherent party now headed by an incoherent coalition, which Pipes believes, will ultimately fade into oblivion.

The South African blog, It's Almost Supernatural, continues its expose on Ronnie Kasrils, a minister in the South African government, who has been on record for his vile accusation that Israel behaves like nazis.

Maryland Conservatarian righteously goes after the filthy Scott Wilson piece in the Washington Post which claims that Israeli settlements are built on palestinian property. So, who really owns palestinian land?

Meryl Yourish responds to Dean Esmay.

Freedom's Cost, also a site new to me, reminds us again that the BBC has managed to perfect George Orwell’s Newspeak in a way the author of Brave New World, never thought possible.

Topics from 192 countries writes about Thanksgiving in Israel.

Elder of Ziyon shows us smiling "peace activists" happily talking with people who want to see the terror groups continue to kill Jews with impunity.

And Yehuda Berlinger, of Jerusalem Games, who normally tries to avoid politics, has created a terrifically creative board game and is willing to offer $1000 to anyone who can win.

The Israeli Tikkun Blog revisits, with great sadness, the 2006 Election Day Vote and Sderot.

The very poignant Jack's Shack writes about growing up with his brother and being fortunate to come from a long line of stubborn that you really don't want to be on the wrong side of.

Batya asks why the OU is honoring Olmert. Jameel wants to know also. I also wondered why American Magen David honored Hillary Clinton, who kissed the (blech, ugh, eeek, yuck) cheek of Suha Arafat after she accused Israel of poisoning palestinian water.

Muse writes about remembering the fallen who gave their lives for Israel during the Yom Kippur war and teaches us about King Solomon--In what order did he write his books?

Heichal HaNegina writes about the 44th yahrzeit of HaRav HaGaon Aharon Kotler (1892-1962), Rosh Yeshiva of Beis Medrash Gavoha, in Lakewood, New Jersey, and the "father" of the American yeshivos and kollelim and about the 160th yahrzeit of Rebbe Tzvi Hirsch ben R. Yehuda Leib HaKohen of Riminov, known by all as Reb Hersh M’shareis [the Attendant].

Bookworm applauds John Bolton — defending truth, justice and the American way.

To view life simply and to acknowledge HaShem, that is A Simple Jew's goal, and here he reawakens us to the beauty of clouds.

Letters of Thought, on the other hand, is down in the lumps.

Palestinians continue to violate the human rights of Israeli Jews. Palestinians have fired more than 1,000 rockets from Gaza into the Israeli city of Sderot so far this year; and more than 1,300 rockets since August 2005 (when the last Jew left Gaza); and more than 3,500 since 2000 (when the Palestinians began a new war after being offered a state). Rick Richman tells us that every one of the rockets was intended to kill civilians.

Ever hear of the Darwin Awards? Jameel tells us about two excellent candidates.

Jewish Blogmeister interviews Life-of-Rubin who also authors The Jewish Connection as well as the most recently created "The Shtus Blog".

The Atheist Jew writes about his experience with irrational Muslims on a Yahoo forum board.

Dry Bones Blog draws a cartoon on airport security.

JudeoPundit noted an essay from Mark Levine blaming Israel for the Gemayel assassination. The essay has now appeared in the Huffington Post. At first and for quite a while, the comment thread is a festival of uninterrupted approval.

Kesher Talk notes that some kind of vandalism or riot hit the Chabad headquarters in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, earlier this week, but it's hard to figure out who was doing what from this article, which comes with loads of photos. It sounds like some kind of internicine brawl based on theological matters.

Whats wrong with Olmert's govermnent? Daled Amos confirms our worst fears because the answer is: everything. Plus a sad reminder that the dysfunctional "Peace Now," the internationally funded foreign agent in Israel has made its latest move on behalf of its paymasters to disrupt and discredit Israel.

Minor Fast Days writes about Finland's Jewish community which gathered Sunday to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Helsinki synagogue.

Nice Jewish people should vote for Mitt Romney and Nice Jewish Boy tells us why.

Ocean Guy quotes Benjamin Netanyahu who compares Iran to Nazi Germany in 1938. And Tigerhawk goes a step further to compare Czechoslovakia to Israel as the object of a hostile regime's desires. Both comparisons should be taken to heart.

Oxmyx at OyVayBlog posts yet another example of Israel-bashing in the media.

In spite of the world turning against Jews and especially, Israel, Rishon Rishon links to Israeli/Lebanese peace/war songs for some hope.

Dag had the privilege of meeting the exalted one, Ezzie.

Ben-Yehudah notes that Festivus falls on Shabbath Hanukkah this year.

As for me, I have noticed that some of the JBlogs that I linked to for HH #95 do not have Smooth Stone in their blogrolls. Maybe this superb roundup will change their minds.

Well, folks, that about wraps up this edition of Haveil Havalim. I hope you all enjoyed it. And thank you, Soccer Dad, for the opportunity.

G-d Bless Israel. G-d Bless America. Amen.

CNN TV host Glenn Beck shows actual videos on radical muslims

CNN TV host Glenn Beck tells NewsMax that he believes "Islamic extremism is the biggest threat to our way of life since World War Two and we'll never be able to fight it – if we can't see it."

"The Glenn Beck Program," which airs every day on CNN Headline News at 7 p.m. and replays at 9 p.m. and midnight on Headline News, usually gives viewers what is advertised as an unconventional look at the news of the day, featuring Beck's "unique and often amusingperspective on top stories from world events and politics to pop culture and everyday hassles."

Viewers can see segments showing children being brainwashed and indoctrinated in a culture of hate; raw footage of anti-Israel and U.S. propaganda; suicide bombers being psyched-up for martyrdom; the very real and imminent threat spilling forth from Iran; a profile of just how American Muslims feel; and, finally, a look at perhaps the best and last chance for change from within.

According to Beck, the videos being featured come from television in the Middle East. Most were originally broadcast in Arabic or Farsi, requiring "quite a bit of time involved to not only select the clips but also to confirm the translations and the context.

"So why hasn't this important film been shown before - at least in this country? asks NewsMax.

"Americans don't seem to take this threat seriously," explains Beck. "Here are these extremists, telling us clearly and plainly what they want to do, and we won't pay attention. That's what's so frustrating. We're hoping that by finally showing some of this video on aprimetime television show, people might finally understand what we're really fighting."
