DataMelt (or "DMelt") is an environment for numeric computation, data analysis, computational statistics, and data visualization. This Java multiplatform program is integrated with several scripting languages such as Jython (Python), Groovy, JRuby, BeanShell. DMelt can be used to plot functions and data in 2D and 3D, perform statistical tests, data mining, numeric computations, function minimization, linear algebra, solving systems of linear and differential equations. Linear, non-linear and symbolic regression are also available. Neural networks and various data-manipulation methods are integrated using powerful Java API. Elements of symbolic computations using Octave/Matlab scripting are supported.

While resting-state fMRI is drawing more and more attention, there has not been a software for its data analysis. Based on MATLAB, we developed a package named REST. Currently REST has three main functions: function connectivity, ReHo and ALFF.

The software package 'relax' is designed for the study of molecular dynamics through the analysis of experimental NMR data. Organic molecules, proteins, RNA, DNA, sugars, and other biomolecules are all supported. It supports exponential curve fitting for the calculation of the R1 and R2 relaxation rates, calculation of the NOE, reduced spectral density mapping, the Lipari and Szabo model-free analysis, study of domain motions via the N-state model and frame order dynamics theories using anisotropic NMR parameters such as RDCs and PCSs, the investigation of stereochemistry in dynamic ensembles, and the analysis of relaxation dispersion data.

PAIDA is pure Python scientific analysis package and supports AIDA (Abstract Interfaces for Data Analysis). PAIDA can create/plot histograms and functions etc. The parameter optimization and its error evaluation are also supported. Can use with Jython!

PMM-Lab is an open-source extension to the Konstanz Information Miner (KNIME). It consists of three components: • a library of KNIME nodes (called PMM-Lab), • a library of “standard” workflows • an HSQL database.to store experimental data and microbial models. Altogether these components are designed to ease and standardize the statistical analysis of experimental microbial data and the development of predictive microbial models (PMM). Users can apply PMM-Lab to proprietary or public data and create bacterial growth / survival / inactivation models. The framework can easily be extended to other model types, e.g. growth/no-growth boundary models. PMM-Lab has been initiated and provided by the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment - BfR (Berlin, Germany). The software is in Beta status. It is the open-source successor to the commercial module for S-Plus© called "EnvironmentalStats for S-Plus", which was first released in April, 1997.
