Active Intelligence Server 2 (AIS) is a data visualization tool and fully featured reporting server which enable users from open source community to host any reports created using BIRT, Jasper and Pentaho community edition allowing organization to leverage open source technologies and enable them to use AIS as a reporting server to deploy their existing and new reports seamlessly onto AIS for secure sharing the information in different file formats and schedule to make system automation and much more. Goal of our project CSX (City Stats X) is to program a generic interface to visualize and present social data about a city. We will present this on the example of the city of Linz in Austria.

The application Crimeblips provides up-to-date crime statistics for Berlin (Germany). It maps and visualizes crimes, allowing users to identify crime hot spots, trends and general patterns. Bayesian algorithms are used to extract relevant information.

geolocate is a front-end java program that works with google maps to provide dynamic maps to users. Combined with the flexibility of XML and the power of javascript, users can see various relationships on their map to draw conclusions.

Full documentation with tutorials is included in the download package. Graphical Grammar Studio is a tool for applying grammars which behave as words acceptors/consumers and annotators. GGS grammars can be used to find and annotate sequences of words which respect certain conditions, in a given input. Its purpose is for creating NLP tools like phrase chunkers, named entity finders, pronoun co-reference solvers etc. A grammar is represented by a state machine which can be visualized, edited and applied. A grammar is organized in graphs of nodes. Nodes are used for consuming words from the input, for executing jumps to other graphs in the grammar or for creating annotations etc. GGS has a unique feature: It allows the user to write JavaScript code to be executed for nodes of the grammar. This is useful for checking grammatical agreements but not only. The user can: declare variables (including complex js structures), check for boolean conditions, use variables in annotations etc.

The application „StockNews“ is to offer the possibility to the user to find out about the interaction between news, analyst opinions and stock exchange rates. Statistics and other relevant data about enterprises are available.

ViSoR provides a visualization of several social indicators, statistics and crimes for the Ruhr Area in Germany. It allows users to view and compare particular suburbs or regions in this area.

OASIS is an application that enables complex analytical queries across somatic mutations; copy number changes (CNV); and gene expression data. OASIS has been built on top of the BIoMart frameworks and has been extended to incorporate unique tools and visualizations to facilitate analysis of complex cancer "Omics" datasets.
