XMLStarlet is a set of command line utilities (tools) to transform, query, validate, and edit XML documents and files using simple set of shell commands in similar way it is done for text files with UNIX grep, sed, awk, diff, patch, join, etc utilities.

Ficl is a lightweight, embeddable scripting language designed to be incorporated into other programs, including memory constrained embedded systems. Ficl conforms to the 1994 ANSI Standard for Forth, and provides several useful extensions including object oriented programming that can wrap compiled code and hardware interfaces. Unlike Lua or Python, Ficl acts as a component of your system - you feed it stuff to do, it does the stuff, and comes back to you for more. You can export compiled code to Ficl, execute Ficl code from your compiled code, or interact. Your choice. Ficl includes a simple but capable object model that can wrap existing data structures. Applications include scripting, hardware bring-up, rapid prototyping, and system extensions.

Emulator of the ancient 8 bit microprocessor ISP-8A 500D/600D or more common "SC/MP" from National Semiconductor. The download contains all sources plus an executable Java Jar file to start right away. Some SC/MP hex dump examples are provided in directory "/etc" as well. The download also contains unit tests and some helping documentation (also in /etc). You may slow down the CPU operations, displaying the CPUs status register as LEDs, to watch the CPU working with its registers. The emulator also contains a VDU (video display unit) output / ASCII input simulation. amforth is an extendable command interpreter running on AVR ATmega and TI MSP430 microcontrollers. The Risc-V and ARM architectures are ascending. Turnkey actions for IoT workloads are possible as well. The command language is close to the Forth 2012 standard.

The Vortex project consists of 2 things. The Vortex OS and VParse. The OS is multitasking and handles a lot of features. VParse is a stand alone Vertex2 parser. Vertex is vortex's scripting language. Pre 0.7 is QBasic and 0.7 is C++.
