Open Source Linux Software Testing Tools

PICSimLab is a realtime emulator of development boards with MPLABX/avr-gdb debugger integration. PICSimLab supports microcontrollers from picsim, simavr, uCsim, qemu-stm32, qemu-esp32, and gpsim. PICSimLab has integration with MPLABX/Arduino IDE for programming the microcontroller's boards. As the purpose of PICSimLab is to emulate real hardware it does not have any source code editing support. For code editing and debugging the same tools used for a real board should be used with PICSimLab, such as MPLABX, Arduino IDE, or VSCode with PlatformIO. PICSimLab supports several devices (spare parts) that can be connected to the boards for simulation. Such as example LEDs and push buttons for simple outputs and inputs and some more complex ones like the ethernet shield w5500 for internet connection or the color graphic display ili9340 with touchscreen. Manufactured Analytical Solution Abstraction (MASA): a library for applying the Method of Manufactured Solutions to verification of numerical software used for solving systems of nonlinear algebraic and differential equations.

We provide MATLAB and Verilog Models of GeAr, and previously proposed adders (ACA-I, ETAII, ACA-II and GDA) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/approxadderlib/ GeAr is a low latency Generic Accuracy Configurable Adder that provides a higher number of potential configurations compared to state-of-the-art approximate adders, thus enabling a high degree of flexibility and trade-off between performance and output quality. These MATALB and Verilog models can allow software programmer as well as hardware designers to evaluate their code and design. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first open-source library of approximate adders that facilitates reproducible comparisons and further research and development in this direction across various layers of design abstraction. This work is a result of collaborative effort between Chair for Embedded Systems (CES) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany and Vision Image and Signal Processing (VISpro) Lab at SEECS-NUST, Pakistan.

The Collaborative Testing System (CTS) tests parallel software using various implementations of MPI. It works on multiple platforms and supports batch systems including LSF, LCRM and workstations without a batch system. It includes a numerical diff tool.

DSPemu emule a digital signal processor TMS320F243, with console interface showing the registers and memory. With DSPemu is possible test algorithms such as Filter, FFT/IFFT. This can be integrate and used with a circuit simulator.

Real-time production information is needed to optimize manufacturing activities in a factory, but acquiring this information from isolated proprietary equipment is a manual process that takes time and introduces errors. Connecting equipment to the factory network can make accurate production information immediately available, but widespread interconnection of equipment has been inhibited by the lack of common information models and methods to measure performance and conformance. This project will develop and deploy a measurement science-based performance and conformance testing framework to enable real-time factory floor monitoring and optimization of manufacturing applications.

A simulator that allows programs written in Java for a National Instruments CRIO to be run on a local computer by overloading the libraries provided by WPI. Some things we've fixed since 0.1a: Kinect no longer throws an exception upon instantiation, the Watchdog is usable, array elements can now be edited in the gui, and lots of under the hood reimplementation to replace native methods. DISCLAIMER: this is not like the diamond bullet studios simulation, this only simulates how the hardware would act, so that code can be tested. It is not our goal to provide a program that allows simulation for strategy testing, nor will it ever be.

SmartTester is a Java based test automation framework, where you can remotely manage and run tests. Furthermore the framework returns a result file. To use a test against different DUTs you can create multiple datasets with arguments.

SymtaP is a performance analysis tool to determine the worst case execution time for embedded real time applications.

Xcarecrows4MDA provides a complete toolset to build models and check their behavior for standalone applications or whole systems with a hierarchical, state driven approach. A test component checks the safety of the model under various situations.

Its an Eclipse 3.5 Plugin. It can be used to find linear paths for unit testing of any method. The linear path covers all the child methods and till leaf level of the hierarchy. The packages which should be covered in the path can be controlled.
