I'm running wxDownload v0.5.3 on XP SP2 and currently
downloading SuSE 10.1 DVD iso.

One issue: The Graph is always displaying either 0% or
a fix number (currently 31.8 kb/s), where the display
says I have between 150 and 350 KB/s.

Hi,
you have to go to program "Options and" change "Graph maximum value" option.
To do this here the step-by-step(there is a screenshot):

1) Click on "Tools" menu
2) Click on "Options" menu
3) Click on "Graph" tab
4) Change the value of "Graph Maximum value (kb/s)" to
something like 400
5) Click on Save

I think this would make the graph work.
