What's the new for the next version?

Gladivs Simple Screen Capture 0.5 pre-Alpha

I am so excited to announce that I still to develop Gladivs SSC and I am working in a new version. Now I am working with Java. I choose Java because I want to develop an application that can run for all three principal platforms: Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

I am developing in JDK8 and using JavaFX and FXML forms. Under Windows it works fine. Under Linux, also, but it requires the official Oracle JRE8. The OpenJDK not bundles the JavaFX classes and the application not works. Oracle is open sourcing these classes. In the OpenJDK foundation there is a project that works in the OpenFX release for the OpenJDK. I tried to run under this release but I don’t had success.

Under Mac OS X I don’t realized any test.

I make this pre-alpha downloadable for test purposes. If you test it and you have any suggestion, please, let me know, I am very interested to know ideas, suggestions, critics.

The future features that I am planning are:

* Image crop
* Image resizing 
* Image filters and effects
* Possibility to open extern image files for edition 
* Formatted file with all shapes and edition changes for posterior edition
* and more...

I must to inform that now I have time for codding, but I am student and in few months I continue in the university, later I have to stop codding, but I want to finish this app one day. Thank you for your comprehension.
