Skylight OS is a professional web based operating system. It includes many features, such as file open and save dialogs, server side filesystems for all users, and an easy to use and fast desktop. It has a slick user interface, and a wealth of desktop backgrounds!

For developers, check out our wiki for complete documentation on how to build Skylight OS apps.

IMPORTANT:

We realize that we have not released any updates in a while. We are currently working on releasing a full alpha version. This update will likely be released sometime this summer. unfortunately, prealpha A1 does not include an automatic update installer, so you will have to check back for updates. Releasing this software is extremely important to us, and we will do it as soon as we possibly can. Thank you for your cooperation.
