"Reliable and easy to use "

    Posted 2022-09-27

Pros: You get a free US phone number, reliable that you can call through an app, receive calls and sms, and also receive sms on email. Perfect.

Cons: You can only select US phone numbers. No worldwide phones available.

Overall: I've been using it for a long time. Never failed. Strongly recommend it. Support is not available as everything is with Google but I never needed anyway.

"Free Phone Number for Small Business"

    Posted 2022-02-26

Pros: This is the only software I’ve found that allows me the ability to have a free phone number for my small business.

Cons: Features are somewhat limited, but this is to be expected from a free software.

Overall: Overall this software is everything I was looking for and has performed excellently since December 2018.

    "Great for Church Pastors"

    Posted 2022-01-27

Pros: Great for giving out as a contact number without having to give out your personal number. We use this for our pastor on-call. It also allows multiple people to have the app and keep up with voicemails. Easy to use.

Cons: There really aren't many negatives. It does what you expect it to do.

Overall: Overall this is a great app that our staff use to protect their personal information. We can give out one number and have a few people keep up with the calls.

"Like putting a moat around your own phone number"

    Posted 2021-08-15

Pros: Allows me to have a secondary phone number tied to my account (my phone number?) Can have outgoing/incoming calls/messages with good quality.

Cons: Sometimes calls won't connect. Costs $10 to change your phone number. Have a hard time receiving calls.

Overall: This is a great free service (only costs are for changing your number and international calls) and adds a nice layer of privacy.

    "Excellent way to screen calls"

    Posted 2021-06-27

Pros: I love that Google voice, allows you to get a free phone number in your area code of choice, and when somebody calls in, it requires them to say their name. That way, you can hear who it is before answering it and know if it’s worth picking up of sending to voicemail.

Cons: I don’t love that the voicemail portion says “google voice”, but it makes sense from google’s perspective.

Overall: Overall, I think Google Voice is fantastic. Super easy to stand up, and very effective at screening calls, and having an external facing phone number that still comes to your cell phone.

    "Google Voice"

    Posted 2020-05-26

Pros: Google Voice is great if you'd like to use your phone to receive calls at another number. They take away the need to have a separate business personal phone.

Cons: Sometimes I'm not sure which number I'm getting calls from. It would be nice if maybe this was stressed in the software.

Overall: Overall Google Voice is a money saver which we all love to see. They also email you to keep you up to date on calls and messages.

    "Great for a second number"

    Posted 2020-05-16

Pros: Use this for a second number and it's awesome. It forwards and i can use it just as if it was my primary.

Cons: It'd be nice if there was a better iOS integration.

Overall: Overall it's a great option especially if you have a legacy account that includes a free phone number.
