Is "hate" a strong word?
Yes? Good.
I HATE them.

So, my Dad recently had an opening (renter evicted) for his rental house in Queen Creek. Justin and I have been looking for a place to call home, so we thought this was a great opportunity.

The Walk Through:
The place was de.stroyed.
Is destroyed a strong enough word?
Cat feces everywhere.
Toilets full of (yes, you guessed it).
Rotten food in the fridge.
Mold ALL over the kitchen.
Cigarette butts, beer cans...need I say more?
I don't think I really needed to say more than CAT FECES. The odor alone did me in. I couldn't even walk through the house without Justin having to take his shirt off so I could put it over my face to breathe. And do you know the problems cat feces cause for pregnant women? If not, please find out.

Before no one ever decides to visit me at my new home, let me tell you the amount of blood, sweat and tears that have now gone into this. First, my dad and 4 other people went in on the front lines to begin the demolition work. Let's just say this, my dad, armed with a face mask and gloves, had to take a shovel to the toilets and even (vomited) inside his mask. Twice! Then they ripped up all the flooring so Justin and I could come in and prime the entire house with Kilz. All the walls and the bare floors had to be primed with this paint that seals out stains and odors. And since Friday, Justin and a whole slew of volunteers have been installing the flooring while I primed and painted every inch of that house. The boys are still installing the flooring as we speak with no end in sight, but has to be finished by...yesterday.

And initially my dad thought all we were going to have to do was shampoo the carpets.
Chyah, right.

1ST DENTIST VISIT!!!!

Well being that my salon is literally in a dentist office I thought I can't be lazy about Paris' teeth anymore! She has never been and apparently needed to! So my good friend Melissa put us down for a cleaning! Well her little girl, same age as Paris had an appointment right before paris and got a cavity filled and she took the shot like a pro to numb her face! Not a sound! Then it was paris, just to CLEAN her teeth, nothing scary and it took 2 of them and Jaiden to calm her down and let the hygienist do her thing! She shook every time somthing new was heading towards her mouth and when it came time to squirt water and suck her spit (the best part) she thought we were all out to get her! Jaid had to show her how it was done! I think her hand in this picture tells ALL about her experience! (it was pretty much stuck that way the entire time)

I told her before we went in that if she was brave and made it thru I would take her and Jaid to Peter Piper Pizza! Which I think was the light at the end of the tunnel for her! Well I kept promise and we were off to eat pizza and play lots of games!

THANKS JAID FOR THE MORAL SUPPORT! I COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITH OUT YOU!

ZOO TIME

Justin's work SRP had a company party at the zoo! We bribed Paris with this one for more than a week! We might have talked it up a little too much, I think we only saw like 4 cool animals and we didn't even see Paris' favorite animal the monkeys, mom was way too tired and couldn't make it to the other side of the zoo! (sad I know, I know) but we did see GIANT tortuous

and GIRAFFES

and of course the TIGER and LION

So there is a blog I stalk and I have convinced myself she is one of my friends! Yes, she knows I stalk her, I have made myself known. (i'm not that creepy.) ANYWAY, she had a great post about the BIGGEST LOSER and how she was inspired and wanted to get healthy and invited ALL who wanted to, to join her! Well because I will only continue to get fatter and cannot JOIN them, I wanted to contribute in some small way! So as I was eating an OH SO DELICIOUS salad my sister had made for me, I couldn't help but think of how I wanted to share this with her and her friends who have so much better will power than me! HANDYMAN

So for my salon, I have been so lucky to have my brother in law Joe be so talented with wood to make my cabinets for me. When first asking him for this favor I thought this would be an easy task, but being that I don't know a thing about it...Joe took a look at what custom work needed to be done and it has now taken way too many weekends away from his family! Sorry Faith! So the last two weekends J and I have gone over to help, which I really didn't think either would be so helpful, but Joe saw to it, as long as he had another pair of hands to help he would use them! So to my suprise when I walked into the garage JUSTIN had a TOOL in his hands! It was a proud moment for BOTH!

KIDS. THEY KNOW JUST WHAT TO SAY

As I am sitting on the computer after a day at work and being on the phone since I have gotten home, Paris has been feeling a little left out...
So here I am sitting at the computer (not NEEDING to be on because now I am just looking at blogs) and Paris is trying to get my attention by naughty distraction. Usually it's climbing all over me, but now she has learned I don't like that! She is usually told to give me mommy time and to watch a movie and I will join her in a min. So because she is using naughty distraction, I decide to not pay attention and continue on, so she used a different tactic....
She walks up to me LOOKS at me with her big brown eyes, and in her SWEET and INNOCENT voice says to me... " It would be so NICE of YOU to let ME sit on your LAP!" and then continues to wait expecting me to tell her NO, but who can say NO to those big brown EYES?!?!
