Stampin' In Alaska

I've had such a fun time this month sharing inspiration with Art Impressions stamps.  I would like to say Thank You to Art Impressions for allowing me to join them this month!  Today I would like to share a  summer card featuring Gotta Garden Set 5000 . The summer growing season is short in Alaska.  My husband and I take full advantage of the extended summer daylight and plant both vegetables and flowers.  We never know what will flourish each year, but we enjoy the process regardless.   I stamped the image onto X-Press It card stock with Versa Clair black ink then embossed with clear powder.  Copic markers were used to color the image then die cut with Spellbinders Circle and Scalloped Circle die cuts. The image panel was adhered with dimension tape to designer papers from Echo Park Homegrown paper pad.  Twine and a coordinating sentiment complete the 4.5 square card.

  I'm having so much fun as Guest Designer for Art Impressions this month!  Today I'm sharing a clean and simple design featuring Art Impressions 4931 - Road Trip Set .   I began this card by ink blending with Tim Holtz Distress inks - Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch.  Two of the buildings from the set were stamped with Versamark ink and wet embossed with white embossing powder. The group of lady travelers were stamped, colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut then adhered with dimension tape.  The finished panel was layered onto Stampin' Up! Night of Navy card stock.  A few enamel dots and coordinating sentiment finish the card.   I'm sharing a fun Thank You card at All Dressed Up.  My card features the adorable Dog Walker digital image.  The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with alcohol markers. I'm joining the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with a cute Anniversary card.    I love using this sweet image from the Stampendous Spring Mini Clear Set for anniversary cards.  They look to me like a happy couple enjoying the evening. The image was colored with Tombow Markers then layered onto MME pattern paper and a variety of circle die cuts.  This was a fun design that used several "scrap" items from my stash.  The sentiment is a retired Stampin' Up! hostess set called Express Yourself.   Happy Saturday!  Alaska is experiencing a very rainy and cool summer this year.  What better way to spend a Saturday morning than in the craft room with Penny Black stamps. My card features the lovely Calm Waters scene from Penny Black.  The image was stamped onto watercolor paper with Versa Clair black ink then water colored with Tombow Markers.  I layered the image panel onto black card stock and kept the design clean and simple.  The finished card size is 6.5 x 3.75.  A sentiment from Unity Stamp Company finishes the card.   This week I'm sharing a clean and simple birthday card along with Bonnie's Birthday Challenge.  Happy Birthday Bonnie! I took a little artistic liberty with the Art Impressions 5113 Pand-tastic Set this week.  The lazy little bear image is so adorable and I decided he could also be a brown bear.  Of course, the brown bear is a little more common in my area of the country! Both the bear and a sentiment from AI Chocolate Therapy set were stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.  The bear was colored with Copic Markers E53 Raw Silk, E33 Sand and E35 Chamois.  The panel was layered onto designer paper from Pink Paislee Switchboard paper pad and a black card stock base.  A few enamel dots finish the 4. 5 inch square card.   If you visit my blog, you probably already know that a good sketch is my favorite challenge!  The current (and sadly final) challenge at Create A Smile really inspired me. I've really enjoyed the inspiration that the design team provides each month on the Create A Smile challenge blog .  I love their cute images and punny sentiments!   My card panel began with a Gelli Print from my stash.  The pig images from Create A Smile Pig Out set were colored with Copic markers, fussy cut and adhered with dimension foam tape.  A very old birthday sentiment from Memory Box was stamped onto Stampin' Up! Granny Apple Green card stock and adhered.  The card is finished simply with a green twine bow. I was so honored when Art Impressions invited me to be their Guest Designer for July.  I have been a customer and fan of AI for many years.  My local stamp store carried the AI line and it was "love at first sight" for me.   Today I chose to create a fun birthday card with the adorable Art Impressions Frog set .  The image was stamped and wet embossed then colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut.  I created the base panel with Tim Holtz Rays stencil using Memento Tangelo and Dandelion inks.  A few gems and "Hoppy Birthday" sentiment complete the card.   I'm joining the current challenge at The Paper Shelter with their adorable My Happy Summer Face digital image.  The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with alcohol markers. A stitched square die from Gina Marie was used for the image then framed with blue card stock.  Designer papers from Echo Park Summer Party paper pad were layered for the card base.  A few enamel dots complete the card.   You have to be of a certain age to appreciate the humor of this birthday card.  Scrappy Boy Stamps released a couple of sets last year paying honor to Gilligan's Island.  One of my favorite shows from the 60's.  Of course, I had to purchase them both.  My card uses elements from both Three Hour Tour and Little Buddy .  I'm also joining the Scrappy Boy Sketch Challenge.  I kept the sketch simple and added pattern paper from Carta Bella Beach Boardwalk.   I just received the retired MFT You're Super set by Birdie Brown from a Stamping Swap group.  I couldn't wait to ink up this sweet image.  The image was stamped, wet embossed and colored with alcohol inks then fussy cut.   I pulled out a retired MFT stencil - Ray of Light - and used distress inks for the sky.  A Memory Box Cityscape Nightline die and gems finish the card.
