HM&FMC #411 Anything goes option: All Stitched Up

I'm playing along with the House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge .  This week's challenge is stitches.  My card features an older Stampendous wood mount stamp called Knit Gift. The image was stamped onto water color paper and water colored with Tombow Markers then die cut with a wonky stitched die.  Prismacolor pencils were also added for highlights.  The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up set called Hand Knit.  The striped designer paper is from the Stampin' Up 2010 In-Color papers.  SU Poppy Parade and Cool Caribbean card stock were used. I would like to share my card with the following: HM&FMC #411 Anything goes option: All Stitched Up Woodblock Wednesday Challenge:  March Anything Goes  Classic Design Challenge:  March/April Anything Goes + 4-legged Friends   Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes  Time Out Challenge:  #260 Striped

Beccy's Place Challenge - Anything Goes + BINGO

There is still time to join the March challenge at Beccy's Place .  It's always Anything Goes with one of Beccy's digital or clear stamps.  Beccy also provides an adorable freebie each month which can be used, but is not required. I love Beccy's critters and the new March digital set Flockstar was a must-have!  This set includes four adorable flamingos and five coordinating sentiments.  Both pre-colored and B&W images are included in the set.   Beccy has the most beautiful pre-colored images!  I have merged three of the flamingos and layered a coordinating sentiment using Microsoft Word for my card. I chose to use the BINGO card options of Emboss, Digital Image and Stitches.  The base panel is an inked tropical leaf emboss folder that I purchased at Michael's years ago.  The image panel was die cut with a wonky stitched die.  A few pink gems finish the card. Be sure to check out all of the fun digital images in Beccy's online...

Happy Mother's Day with Hero Arts

I'm getting started on my Mother's Day card with this mixed media design featuring Hero Arts Protea Flowers set and an older Eucalyptus background stamp. I used an older (but effective) emboss resist technique for the base panel.  Hero Arts inks were blended over the embossing.  A piece of netting from my stash, gems, ribbon and a few sprig dies finish the card.  Of course, the protea was embossed and die cut simply.
