Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero Challenge: Those Were the Days

I'm getting started on my Mother's Day card with this mixed media design featuring Hero Arts Protea Flowers set and an older Eucalyptus background stamp.   The floral image was stamped onto a Gelli Print background then die cut.  A vellum panel layers over the Eucalyptus background.  Coral Mulberry paper frames the protea.  Stamped bees and coordinating sentiment are from the same Hero Arts set. Those Were the Days - Our challenge was to choose a past Stay Crafty challenge.  I chose the We Are Family Challenge from November.  Create something that can be given to a family member. I would like to share my card with the following: Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero Challenge:  Those Were the Days Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Anything Goes PIP Challenge: #2504 Anything Goes Beautiful Blossoms Challenge: #25 Anything Floral

Art Impressions Challenge: #395 Monochromatic

I'm playing along with the current challenge at Art Impressions - Monochromatic .  My card features the adorable Frog Set .  The image was colored with Copic Markers.  I went through my paper scraps and die cut several circles from coordinating papers.  An easy sketch with the circles randomly randomed onto an embossed panel. The sentiments with this set are so fun.  I've included another as an inside sentiment:  "I've been toad you're having a birthday!" HMFMC #432-ATG or Use an embossing folder

I'm joining the current House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge to use an embossing folder.  My card features the adorable House-Mouse Designs Donut Day (retired). The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  It was fussy cut and layered onto an embossed panel using an interesting technique with embossing powders.  Basically, you layer embossing powders onto a piece of parchment paper, melt it then run it through the machine inside a folder of choice!  The YouTube tutorial for the technique was recently shared on a Facebook group:     YouTube Tutorial Double Embossing This was my first attempt. The chocolate panel was also embossed traditionally with a dot folder.  A few nuvo drops were added and a sentiment from Paper Smooches finishes the card. Penny Black Saturday Challenge

I'm sharing a scenic mixed media card for the current challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge . The base panel is a gelli print using various textures and acrylic paint.  To be completely honest, this one almost went into the trash!  While searching for a background for the Penny Black Panoramic Cling stamp I came across this print and just knew it was right. I used my Misti stamping platform to align the telephone pole/wire and fencing.  As you can see, the telephone pole/wire stamp is quite large.  I stamped twice with Versafine black to get a good image.
