We extend our heartfelt thanks to the TD Park People grant program, the ParticipACTION Community Challenge weekly capacity building prize and donors like you for invaluable support in enriching our environmental education and community engagement initiatives!

Thanks to the generous funding from the TD Park People grant program and the weekly prizes provided by the ParticipACTION program, we are thrilled to collaborate with teachers, classrooms and students from across Saskatoon to the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas. These educational field trips are more than just outings; they are transformative experiences that connect our urban youth with nature, foster environmental stewardship, and build a deeper appreciation for their local parks and green spaces to usher in the new school year “outdoors in nature”. Come to Nature. Come to Life!

The ParticipACTION Community Challenge, presented by Novo Nordisk, inspired communities across Canada to embrace physical activity and engage in healthy living throughout June. We are proud to share that Saskatoon, among many other vibrant communities, earned a spot as a top finalist in the search for Canada’s Most Active Community. This achievement reflects the collective effort and enthusiasm of our residents to stay active and connected.

As we celebrate National Forest Week from September 22-28, 2024, we are excited to continue our journey of moving, learning, and growing together. This year’s theme, “Two-Eyed Seeing: Welcoming All Knowledge to Sustain Our Forests,” perfectly encapsulates our commitment to integrating traditional knowledge with contemporary environmental practices.
