The major update here are VFX trails which took a good bit of effort to get the desired quality. You can find these under effects. Kudos to Frogski, the Plasma trail is inspired by his WoW mod 🍻

Otherwise added a formal multi-color version of that store page pointer cursor, and a language selector on the main menu. The rest is polish and some key fixes like Riot game support.

For next update, after many asks and MS being MS 😉, Linux Proton support will be a priority.

UPDATES

NEW: Trail effects! Flame, Plasma, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter included.
NEW: Pointer cursor (seen in Steam page).
NEW: Add language selection button to main menu (same behavior as taskbar one).
BUFF: Windows cursor scaling setting now only applies to app:Windows cursors and not games/apps. This solves unwanted huge cursors and quality issues.
BUFF: Generate a nicer preview when importing cursors from an existing game/app.
BUFF: Add option to reset hidden cursors in Settings > Reset.
BUFF: Improve glow for blurry and translucent cursors.
BUFF: Improve injection reliability and freezing issue with some games.
FIX: Self shutdown instead of crashing when interrupted by a GPU reset or driver update.
FIX: Color picker closing too easily and a related crash when changing Glow color.
FIX: Case where presets with missing or unpublished cursors could still be published.
FIX: Fix scrolling for devices like Thinkpad scroll knob.
FIX: Cursor disappearing when original settings are re-applied.
FIX: Translucent cursors apppearing darker than they should when resized.
FIX: Original game cursor sometimes showing in anticheat protected games.
FIX: Support for all Riot games.
FIX: Original cursor disappearing in some games when only using an effect.

hangs in the updater

Seems like the latest update hangs if it's running, instead of stopping the running one, I had a bunch of games jammed up in the update queue because it was hung.

Wont save the cursor

last few updates have broken my cursor. When trying to save the new cursor. it just resets everytime. windows, space engineers, allods online and where winds meet.

Lag & Crashes

This app is both neat and useful, I've got to admit that but way more often than not it seems to be causing lagging in everything from Windows itself to games, quite often that lag leads to a crash in something. The only difference between that and no lag/crashes is this. as soon as I shut it down everything is fine....

This address some critical issues, in particular not working directly with League and cursor quality problems when windows pointer scaling is used. Also a fix for the UI being misaligned due to certain windows DPI settings.

Snuck a glow polish in too 😁

UPDATES

BUFF: Improve glow quality. Increase max distance to 30.
FIX: Not working directly with League of Legends
FIX: Blurry cursors when Windows cursor scale is set above default.
FIX: Corrupt/artifacted original cursors when Windows cursor scale is set above default.
FIX: UI hitbox problems seen when multimonitor DPI scaling is mismatched. Also simplified DPI scaling to stay consistent with the primary monitor setting.
FIX: Fully transparent game cursors showing as black squares if resized (seen in Hearts of Iron 4 and Baldurs Gate 3).
FIX: Support loading the hotspot from cursor files misconfigured as icon files. This fixes hotspot for some workshop contributions.
FIX: First cursor assignment sometimes not saving.

Pointer Trail glitches out when moving between monitors

I have a 2 monitor setup, and whenever I move the mouse between those two monitors the particle effects at the end of the trail fill the screen in a straight horizontal line and drop until off screen. The trail itself functions right, but the added particles are spawned across the whole screen as if I quickly moved the mouse across the monitor. This is with the Flame trail effect....

Possible new bug?

Not sure if it's just me, but after the recent update, the inverted cursor that comes with the pack got super pixelated after trying to apply a glow to it. This is a small one that includes mostly fixes to address recent feedback. Getting this out before the next large update focusing on streaks/trails and more.

We also updated our Steam art to address many people thinking YoloMouse is some low budget game 😂

UPDATES

QOL: Recall basic settings (size, glow, etc) while browsing different cursors in Cursor tab.
FIX: If YM cant access a process, will retry a few times. Should fix a few games/apps with hiccups.
FIX: Cursor artifacts in Baldurs Gate 3.
FIX: Hotkeys not working in Hearts of Iron 4.
FIX: Ensure auto admin request only if a game requires it.
FIX: Crash when loading broken animated cursors.
FIX: Menu not showing using CTRL-ALT-C in some fullscreen games (Observed in Civ6).
FIX: Improve loading some huge cursors like: Bad apple!! (workshop)
