Roleplaying on TF2!

Alright, seeing as the old ones were...honestly quite outdated, I figured I would give a redo a shot. So here they are; if you have any questions/opinions/comments/etc., just drop me a line or post it here.

1. Ask before RPing.
- Some people do not always want to roleplay; this is fine. As a player, you have to respect the other's wishes. This rule also extends to asking before damaging another person's character, killing them, or anything else that could really affect how things go.
1a. Subrule: Consent
- Players must be notified of things that can affect their characters in large ways. For example, if two players are plotting a log that involves divulging a third character's deepest secrets, you need to notify the third character's player of this. Players have the right to veto logs/threats/etc. that they are uncomfortable with involving their characters.

2. No godmodding/powerplaying/metagaming/etc.
- Your character is not impossible to kill unless on an Ubercharge, and that's only for eight seconds. In addition, don't take control of another player's character(s), and do not use OOC knowledge ICly.

3. Be civil.
- I can understand not liking everybody, but do not let that affect your IC behavior or the other way around. Remember, we are not our characters. Don't start a lot of drama with things, don't attack other players, and don't start OOC fights. I would much rather the lot of us get along, anyway.
3a. Subrule: Conduct
- Racial slurs are not allowed, and neither are derogatory terms directed at other people OOCly. It is advised not to use them excessively ICly, though I do understand that some characters are bigots and possibly just terrible people. This goes back to keeping IC in the IC zone and OOC in the OOC zone.

4. Be realistic.
- Not only with your characters. The setting is 1969, and you need to remember that as well. This means that we will not have Xboxes or whatnot, and we won't be talking about President Obama or whatever other modern-day people. We will have a timeline set up soon, hopefully.
4a. Subrule: Character
- Do not have a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. These are the 'perfect special snowflake' characters that everyone loves. Your character has to have weaknesses and flaws, and having a super-busty Japanese Scout with rainbow hair named Sunshine Ebony Sparkle Raven is not a very good character for this setting. Just use your common sense, and remember: research is your friend.

5. Explicit RP
- Please keep porn/smut to a minimum, and it would be preferred if it was done somewhere else. You can keep the logs, but keep in mind that not everyone wants to see them. Things that contain serious triggers (i.e. suicide, rape, excessive gore) should have a trigger warning; this is for the comfort of everyone in the group.

6. Rule extension
- More rules may be added as needed. Right now, I'm trusting you guys to play nice and not make me have to add anything else. Don't disappoint me, please.
